Bilit Adventure Lodge

A rustic lodge on the riverbank, with lovely sunrise views. An elevated walkway leads to the rooms in the trees. Facilities are basic but comfortable with a/c and large toilet, shower room. Meals are buffet with enough to eat. Staff very friendly but reserved. This lodge is popular with tours so daily arrivals and departures by river boat

Great lodge to stay at and get on the river for wildlife viewing. Food was good and plentiful. Guides and staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Saw a lot of hornbills, proboscis monkeys, and macaques. Was told orangutans and elephants were very rare sightings Guide Haleem was awesome Lodging was serviceable

I would give more than five stars for service if I could. Due to the recent floods in East Malaysia, we had to return from the river lodge to Sepilok. Tiffany was amazing in sorting out and organising everything. They put us up at Sepilok Jungle Resort and sorted out various tours and activities for us in place of what we would have had at BAL. Their food was top notch, the rooms were spacious and comfortable with Air Con and the staff were all super friendly. We also managed to see some incredible wildlife before we had to leave. Thank you to the staff, and Tiffany, for all they did.

We had a 3D2N stay and enjoyed every bit of it. Lovely people, nice rooms and great wildlife around! No doubt this is highly recommended! Bring some cash as the nightwalk, boots and some other “optional” things are cash only. Really feel the revenue goes to the right, local people.

Overall nice experience Did not see any orang utan and elephant though. The nightwalk was mid, so did the jungle trekking. However, the trip on the river was nice. Saw plenty of things and the guide was really helpful to spot things

Accessible only by boat, this is a real jungle experience. The rooms are pleasant and the lodge itself well built and a great spot to sit and look out over the river. The food was good and plentiful but best of all were the boat tours. Running in the morning and afternoon, there is an opportunity to see lots of species of monkey and birds. The highlight was watching a group of totally wild Borneo Pygmy Elephants as they fed along the river edge. Staying here was a magical experience we will never forget.

Staff: excellent, friendly and helpful. Food: great, rooms basic but clean and all works well. Prices for drinks and boots (used for the night walk) are (too) high for a 1-star accommodation. They still use smelly 2-stroke outboard that fill the boat with smoke when you go slow. Other resorts have changed to the clean silent 4-stoke engines.

Only accessible by boat and in the middle of the forest. We went on a group tour to do a 3D4N safari. I rarely write reviews but the staff, food, and overall vibe at Bilit was amazing and everyone was so kind and caring towards guests.
