This might be the rudest airport I've visited in a long time...and I'm FROM Arkansas.
The ticket agent, Jayla, was incredibly kind, but that's where the southern hospitality stopped. THREE different TSA agents were slow and/or rude, despite the fact that I'm clearly trying to move quickly to catch my flight. TSA agent #1 wouldn't let me pour out my water from a clear bottle and made me exit then re-enter security. I couldn't hold my bottle to leave, SHE had to hold my bottle, and she insisted on walking slow as molasses. I was running to make it back through security (again), and she was just casually walking, smiling at me trying to get her to hurry from 10 feet behind. Utterly frustrating.
TSA agent #2 was just rude, telling me, "you're not listening!" as I tried to walk through security. Apparently he could make sure everyone else's bag got pushed onto the screening trolley, but I had to do mine. Fine, whatever.
TSA agent #3 had the nerve to chastise me for having my laptop out of my bag when that was exactly what I was told to do just before the checkpoint. He had the nerve to say, "you didn't listen!" as if I was a child. I let it slide because my flight was actively boarding and I knew I could leave this review once I sat on the plane. He seemed to take pleasure in moving, again, slow as molasses when he decided my GNC pre-workout resembled cocaine and needed extra screening. I was jittery at the checkpoint and he said, "do you need the bathroom?" and I replied, "nope, my flight started boarding 5 minutes ago."
You would THINK that might encourage someone to put a pep in their step, but this dude was unbothered. He took his time, chatted with a friend, and acted like he could care less. I get that an emergency in the part of others does not necessarily constitute an emergency on yours, but damn, you work at an airport, there's always a sense of urgency and if you choose to work in that kind of environment you should behave accordingly.
There's no need to be unkind or smarmy with folks when they're in stressful spaces like airports, but these three TSA folks seem to delight in taking THEIR time in spite of what customers are clearly trying to accomplish.
I made it to my flight and boarded with no problems, but I've got to admit having two different people speak to me so condescendingly was discomfiting. I'm unsure if they were mad they worked at the airport, had to work the early shift, or had to see others travel while they stayed put, but none of that was my fault.
My recommendation for this airport is to come early. There's no sense of service urgency, and people don't give AF about your schedule.
Oh well.
