The food was great! I personally loved the sweet potato fries and Bill's summer bbq tray! The service was also great. Marta was very kind and attentive! Thank you guys!

Google
Beautiful restaurant with a very pleasant staff! The food was delicious! Most importantly for our family, was the way the entire staff handled my daughter’s severe treenut allergy. There are no nuts in their kitchen and yet they still took our allergy notification very seriously and prepped her dish with the utmost care. Our server Ioanna was the kind of server you always hope to have- kind, warm and attentive! Thank you for a wonderful experience! Thanks a brunch! ❤️

Google
Made a last minute reservation here today for a friends birthday party. We were booked in easily and the service from start to finish was amazing. Ioanna was a credit and super friendly as were all the guys. Well worth a visit of you want some decent food at a decent price. The loaded hashbrowns were a dream.

Google
Good food, good atmosphere, great staff. We decided to drop in after a day in town and were not disappointed. To the contrary, the food was much better than anticipated. I especially loved "Bill's Flowerpot", a dessert that looked like a very realistic flowerpot, with dirt, flowers and all, but was completely edible. And tasty! And thanks to Sephora for taking good care of us! We'll be back!

Google
The food was great, tasted really good and arrived fairly quick at the table. Service was also really good. Enjoyed eating here!

Google
Breakfast at Bills today. Had the Chorizo and Poached eggs, with a side of hash browns. Honestly the best breakfast I’ve had in London for a very long time. Cooked to perfection, super tasty and very filling. The service from Maria was very prompt and friendly. Thank you! Will definitely be back 👌

Google
Very vintage style interior design. Nice food with a wide range of choices. The traditional breakfast plate and pancakes are really good. Great service from Blerina, helpful and with smile. Would recommend to come for an English breakfast experience.

It’s always delicious every time we come. Loanna was kind and we were very happy with the quick service. My daughter also really enjoyed meal. Thank you!

Yelp
We were pleasantly surprised by a very eclectic and varied menu. My husband and I shared a number of starters and then enjoyed a salad and the vegetable sharing platter as our main dish. Service was fantastic and very attentive. Fantastic prices for London. We will make it a point to return here.

Yelp
Service was good... not great! It was fine but nothing impressive. I got a whiskey pulled pork burger and it came with a shot of whiskey that you can inject into the burger. I didn't know this was a full shot of whiskey and made my burger taste like a short of whiskey. If you order that burger be carful with the injector.

Yelp
AVOID - great reviews on here sent me to this restaurant when I was connected via Baker Street tube need of a relaxing and tasty meal. The very friendly lady at the front was awesome, but that's about it. My server was almost surly with an attitude because I was just one person dining. That's all I can figure. The seafood linguine was actually very tasty, but when I asked the server for any meal recommendations and also if she thought the pasta was decent, I got other suggestions that led me to believe not (she indicated that the pasta was a small portion - it wasn't). Then when I ordered, she basically got me to agree to accept my wedge salad and entree at the same time. That's not very normal but I accommodated as I realized it was busy. The pasta with lobster, shrimp and calamari was very tasty and a decent portion. The wedge salad had a great garlicky dressing but unfortunately it drowned out the lettuce especially towards the bottom (see 2nd pic). Nothing came with it - not even croutons or crackers or a piece of bread. The other last thing that really was an issue is that I asked for a glass of water. I received only the salad and entree - no water and completely ignored by the server until literally she asked if I wanted the bill. The nice lady at the front did ask if I needed anything and got me a glass of water. This was a big issue because I've had some health issues recently and need to drink a lot of water rather than soda or anything else; it's a reasonable expectation if spending 30€ on a meal In the US, it is customary to tip closer to 20%, but based on the service I was unlikely to leave anything much more than 10%. Fortunately restaurants add 12.5% gratuity - which they say is optional but is hard-coded into the bill - and so that was that. Maybe I just had a server who was too busy or having a bad day, but I would never ever come back to this establishment if visiting London again.

Yelp
My first day back in London took us here to Bill's for an English breakfast. It was my friend's first time in the city and I wanted us to enjoy a nice meal before we really started our explorations for the day. First off, loved the ambience. It was filled with natural lighting from their large windows and the entire restaurant gave off a hipster feel you'd find in Seattle. We waited only a short ten minutes before being seated on a Monday morning, so it shows that the busiest time here is probably going to be breakfast. While we came here for a traditional English breakfast, they were all "out"for some reason that morning. My friend ended up going for Bills Breakfast instead which was toast with ham and eggs, and seemed to have enjoyed the dish. Me on the other hand, I opted for a warm scone (£4.95) and a bacon roll (£4.75). Being back in London, I was happy with the scone although it was rather small for the price. My sandwich was decent but overall nothing exciting if you didn't add an egg on top. Food wise, Bill's was simply "okay." While the food was nothing to write home about, I again enjoyed the ambience and we had great service from our waitress. If you're in the area, I'd probably pass unless you're here for a coffee because the ambience definitely delivers in that respect.

Yelp
Decent food, but arrived cold and late. The reviews on TripAdvisor or Google are not accurate. Would never eat at this place after this dinner. Reviews on Yelp are more accurate than Google or TripAdvisor. Our seats were next to the waiter/waitress stand. Awful location. Our server did not come around to our table and asked us for our order from behind me and my guest. I expect a waitress to stand next to the table and make eye contact. I recommend that you save your money at eat somewhere else on Baker Street. The ambiance gives the place two stars, and the food was ok. The dining experience due to the poor service is the reason for the poor review. The worst part is that this was a special occasion, a birthday meal.

Yelp
Stopped by Bill's for breakfast with three friends one Tuesday morning. The service was a bit lacking but the quality/value of the food definitely made up for it. I ordered the scrambled eggs on toast and added smoked salmon (£8.15). I was expecting just one piece of toast but it actually came with two pieces. The eggs were perfectly scrambled: smooth and creamy. There was also a hearty amount of smoked salmon, so they don't skimp on that. The coffee was great as well - fresh, and not too strong, not too watered down. Not sure if all the Bill's locations are the same but I'd recommend it. You definitely would not get this amount of food for this quality in NYC.

Yelp
Visiting London, found this place for Sunday brunch and was disappointed. The decor is delightful and it was packed, so we gave it a try. Food service was slow, and when it came my eggs were cold and my wife's eggs had a hair in it. They replaced it quickly, but that kind of ruins the moment for you. The other thing I found annoying is the drum of the techno music in the background. I love the fun noisy atmosphere of the people, but don't understand the need for club music you can't really hear among the noise of the place. Lastly, I ordered a second cup of coffee that never came. We asked for the check to leave and never come back.

Yelp
I was staying at an awesome Sherlock Holmes Hotel in the area and explored the nearby food-fare. The atmosphere here was light-hearted and fun, with excellent service from fantastic servers. I basically just asked what to order, then took their advice. The meal began with Wild Mushroom Soup, followed by an Oak Smoked Chicken Liver Pâté -- in all honesty, if (when) I make it back to London, I would make it a point to visit Bill's just for the shroom soup and pâté. But wait, there's more... For the entree, I ordered the Rustic Butternut Squash Stew, which was another victory. It was rustic. It was butternutty. It was squash. A serious stew, built for stew lovers. Loved it. To close my final dinner in England for that trip I enjoyed a scoop of Bill's Ice Creams and Sorbets. The server hooked me up with a sampling of the Salted Caramel, Strawberry, and Lemon Sorbet. Go here.

Yelp
One of my fav places in London. The most beautiful room. Friendly staff with attentive service. And the food was amazing. Fresh. Filling. And unique.

Yelp
I visited Bill's for dinner and had booked a table online because I thought it might be busy. I was immediately greeted and shown to my table. My server introduced himself a few minutes later, giving me the opportunity to look over the menu. I asked for his preference between a few of my choices for mains (sorry to all servers who find this annoying!) and took his recommendation. Ultimately I decided on calamari for a starter, gnocchi bolognese for my main, and apple and blackberry crumble for pudding. The calamari were thick strips (good portion) and crispy on the outside. The accompanying sauce and lemon added good flavor to the calamari. The gnocchi bolognese was warm and well-cooked, but a little bland. I was expecting a little more flavor from the bolognese. The apple and blackberry crumble was very flavorful on the other hand. It had quite a bit of crumble, but the portions of ice cream and fruit balanced it out. The servers were all attentive, but not overbearingly so. The lighting was dim (just in case that bugs you) and the ambiance cozy. There is WiFi available and the prices are reasonable for the quality of food. I would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Cute 50s diner decor, very good music, excellent mushy peas. I'm from the States, and I don't understand the hype; the fish and chips were good, but no different from what we have here. Happy to be there - the proprietor was charming and so happy to see us!

Yelp
Honestly this was one of the better meals I had while I was in London and omg it was so good I dragged my parents to another location later haha By the time we got there, the breakfast menu was over which sucked so we ordered from the lunch menu. They have a fish version of shepard's pie and OH MY GOODNESS - SO GOOD. Honestly I wished I could've had it again before I left haha My sister had the mac & cheese and she said it was one of the best restaurant mac and cheese's she's ever had. Which is really saying something because her palette is even pickier than mine... And then we went for lunch - like I said, it wasn't the same location but assuming the recipe is the same, I'm going to include my breakfast review here as well. But keep in mind that the breakfast we had was at their Cambridge location. Anyways, their breakfast was good as well! We had a 5-stack pancake to share, ordered 2 eggs Benedict, 1 yogurt and granola, and 1.... some breakfast special from the menu my mum ordered haha. I can't speak to her dish anyway. The eggs benedict was good, but it was just 2 eggs benedict and no sides which, honestly, that's the first time I've seen it presented like that. It wasn't enough for both my sister and my dad, they had to eat more of the pancakes. I had the yogurt and granola which was goooood! The granola was their in-house brand. I thought it was too finely milled... wished it was a bit more chunky. But otherwise, their yogurt & granola was good as well. Either way, it was an extremely satisfactory breakfast AND lunch. Highly recommend! P.S. The customer service for THIS location in which I'm reviewing is AMAZING. Highly rec this location at least :)

Yelp
This review is actually for Bill's in Kensington Arcade. Had a great breakfast here with friends around August 8th. Ladies had sort of a "lumberjack" breakfast and I had parfait. Everyone was well satisfied; the waiter was really cool and we sat and talked longer than we should've b/c of the laid back vibe.

Yelp
Decent food, nice restaurant and kind staff. We came to Bill's for breakfast on what might have been one of the last sunny days of London for summer '19. We were able to sit outside and while the tables are right next to the road ( and the pollution that comes with it) it is always nice to be able to enjoy the sun and not ben stuffed inside. I do need to note that the interior decoration and atmosphere was pretty nice too. So if you are looking for a place to eat on a rainy day, Bill's might be it. The food was very decent (not extraordinary bit I got nothing to complain) and the coffee was good. They didn't allow people to smoke outside which was a blessing (I don't know if this is the normal procedure in London, I discovered that when the french gent next to me tried to light up his cigarette and was told he can't. I was very pleasantly surprised.) All in all, if you are looking for a place to have breakfast, go ahead and try Bill's. They do a pretty decent job. Side note: make sure to make reservations

Yelp
I went to 3 different Bill's restaurants during my couple of months staying in London. The decor is incredible- beautiful Gastropub details. The menu is unique and delicious, I had the chicken burger once, the beet risotto another time, and chicken Milanese. For dessert I recommend the strawberry ice cream and a pot of English breakfast tea!

Yelp
Awesome food. We ordered a Bill's garden plate and pancakes. Everything was awesome. Ambience and decor were very good!

Yelp
I was looking for dinner near the Baker Street station that had light options and came across Bill's on Yelp. Really nice atmosphere on the inside with roomy booths. We started with Calamari and Spiced Tortillas. The calamari isn't a very big portion, but it's good if you like more heavily fried calamari. Comes with tasty half tartar sauce half red pepper tapenade. The spiced tortillas were actually big tortilla chips that seemed homemade and has a small kick to it. Comes with tzatsiki, red pepper tapenade sauces and guacamole - seemed like it was sitting out for a while because it was browning. Felt like a long time in between appetizers and entrees. My entree was Grilled Sea Bass Fillets, which I would definitely get again. The only thing is the avocado in this dish was also browned when I got it. The fish comes with skin on, on top of potato rosti - kinda like a a chunky tasty mash. The burgers were just alright, the buns are kinda try and tasteless. The fries are decent though. Seems like a hit and miss place depending on what you order, but I would recommend the spiced tortillas and sea bass!

Yelp
First, the good: the food here was excellent! More importantly, I was dining with a friend with several severe allergies, and the staff were very cautious to ask about that and bring out an allergy menu. The atmosphere is quite nice as well. Second, the not so good: As we type I am currently waiting for my bill, which I have been doing for about 20 minutes now. It also took an incredibly long time for us to get menus to begin with, and when it was time for our orders to be taken, our server had to leave and get a manager to take the order of the individual with an allergy. While I do appreciate the attention to safety, it took about 10-15 minutes for that manager to come out. There also wasn't water provided until our drinks came out. I feel like this is a place with potential, but a lunch should not take 2 hours with 1.5 of that being waiting for someone to interact with us. Maybe it was an off day. I'm not sure. But I'm not sure I'll be coming again to find out.
google avatar

Ila S.

Yelp
The food was good but that doesn't excuse the service. We arrived 12:30. Out server took our drink and food order shortly. Our drinks arrived promptly. And then we waited. And waited. I inquired about our order twice. The first time I was told there was a big party ahead of us and it would arrive soon. The second time I was told he would check. And then he avoided eye contact and the table. We were served lunch finally at 13:50 (1:50 for the Americans). We would have left but we're so hungry starting over elsewhere would have taken longer and we kept thinking it must come soon. As I said, the food was good once it arrived. But there is no excuse for the service. Stay away!

Yelp
Ate here on a Sunday (mid-afternoon). Food is outstanding! I splurged and had the ribeye steak. Nice, aged beef with great flavour. Given the price of the steak, however, I was a bit surprised to have to pay additionally for the sauce, but the sauce (béarnaise) was as excellent as the steak. When I went, I needed to kill time before a movie, but, had I been in a rush, I would have found the service very slow. Nevertheless, I will be back.

Yelp
We enjoyed stopping in here while in the neighborhood. The ambience is great, and the staff were all really nice. The dinner food was a resounding "meh". We got the spicy Italian flatbread and the mezze (mix) tray to share. The flatbread is not spicy, way too doughy, and super salty to boot. Would not recommend. The mezze had some decent items, though. Grilled chicken skewers were not bad, chips and salsa was pretty much standard, the crab cakes were a bit dry but tasty. The calamari was good. Olives were good, as well. Their Bill's Beer lager is tasty and cheap. I'd come back here and have breakfast, since that seems to be their specialty, or maybe a few beers and a burger (another table ordered some and they looked and smelled pretty good). I'd avoid any of the table share menu items at dinner, though, they're not great.

Yelp
Walked across the street for brunch from where we were staying in London. Place was definitely buzzing probably because they were getting busy with the lunch crowd. Ordered the vegetarian breakfast with eggs and veggies and was not disappointed. I'm not a big fan of poached eggs so I ordered mine scrambled. The plate was a party of all kinds of flavors from hummus, avocados and tomatoes. With that said, it did get a bit dry towards the end with all that white toast. Also service is slow so make sure you have time to wait. Overall it was a good experience.
google avatar

Minh C.

Yelp
Speed: fast despite a heavy crowd Food: generous portions for London; my chicken was moist and my capers dressing was a great addition to the Caesar salad Service: friendly, but waiter did seem a bit confused each time we asked a question Overall: I'd definitely return to try the brunch menu!
google avatar

Ralph D.

Yelp
Terrific menu - upscale but not overpriced. Modern, homely vibe. Breakfast almost anytime - went back a second time for breakfast. Fast, friendly service.
google avatar

Janice S.

Yelp
I've never been to a Bills before so this was my first experience. Menu was a bit simple but food was flavorful. I'm glad that I came here. Service was fantastic. I didn't give it five stars because the food took a long time for both starters and mains but it was okay as my husband had to make some phonecalls so I didn't mind the wait. However, if we were in a rush this could have been an issue. Overall quite enjoyable and would come again.
google avatar

Mitchell S.

Yelp
Probably the best breakfast we had while in London, the staff was welcoming and courteous, the food and drinks arrived quickly, my wife and daughter tried scones with clotted cream and jam nearly every day and thought this was the best they had. A nice breakfast prior to going into Maddam Tussauds.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place for dinner, gets a bit crowded but is a good sign. food is excellent, so the service. prices are reasonable. would definitely come back next time in London.

Yelp

Yelp
This place is sooo great! Fresh ingredients, laid back vibe, great service! When in London I'll be making this a morning tradition!

Yelp
Great food. The taste is not too strong, very fresh taste and very healthy. Great for breakfast and lunch.

Yelp
Bill's has decent food usually and I have visited their branches in Covent Garden and Islington and enjoyed it. We came in for hot drinks only this time, were seated... Then pretty much ignored when trying to order. 3 staff stood with their backs to us near the till discussing something and failing to pay any attention to my requests for service. Finally we gave up and decided to leave. The manager noticed us then and said 'thank you' so I explained what happened and why we are leaving. He said he can take our order now... Well too late I'm afraid. It's 1 star for service, can't talk about the food this time.
google avatar

Ada C.

Yelp
I ordered delivery from Bill's: tomato soup and the summer salad. Soup was decent although slightly in the tart side. The salad was on the dull side. Greens were fresh, the grains al dente, the watermelon sweet but the overall combo fell flat. A bit of feta or cashew nut cheese would go a long way!
google avatar

Tamar I.

Yelp
Had there a late dinner of burgers and ribs and fish sticks kids deal. The service was great but the food was terrible. Burgers were burned. fish sticks were bitter. ribs were dry cold and not tasty. The only good part was the potato fries.
google avatar

Lou H.

Yelp
You have no idea how happy I am to have a Bill's open on Baker Street (I live round the corner). It's the perfect date place. You dine by candlelight but it has such a relaxed atmosphere. The food and drink selection is great and have never been disappointed. Special shout-out for the Eton mess! As it's now near me sometimes I take my work there as they have WiFi. Of course, I will order food not to take advantage but I have never felt rushed by the friendly staff and the service is great. For any meal during the day ; breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, I couldn't recommend this place any more.
google avatar

Michelle R.

Yelp
Bill's in Baker Street has become one of my top favorite restaurants in West London. To say I love this place would be an understatement. Just a 2 minute walk from Baker Street station this place is not hard to miss! I was looking for a place to celebrate my bday and it wasn't long until I found this place. I went in to enquire about making a reservation and was greeted by a member of staff at the door, she was friendly, very informative and showed me around the restaurant. The day of my celebration went great! Everything was perfect from the atmosphere to the food and the service, I was incredibly blessed. The staff went above and beyond to make my evening a fabulous one! I highly recommend this place. Great place!

Yelp
I was starving when I ate here... I wasn't impressed by their breakfast menu, so we stalled for 30 minutes to get their lunch menu. (11:45a) I wouldn't get their crab cakes (caveat I'm American) but I felt like it was a little thick with filler. Everyone else I was with enjoyed their meal 100%... lamb burger, chicken satay, potstickers, spicy gnocchi... sounds like I just mad a poor choice. Seems like a great London chain with all sorts of good options throughout day...

Yelp
My wife and her friends ate there this evening. The bill was 42 pounds and gave the waitress 60. They waited 15+ minutes for change and she never came back. So they tracked her down and asked for the change. She said she thought they didn't want change!! An 18 quid tip for 42 quid bill?!?! What is that, a 40 percent tip?!?!? My wife said that she never heard of a waitress asking or assuming that she can keep the change and that that is rude. The waitress replied, "but Madame this is England!!" Pathetic!!! The staff should be trained properly and stop trying to rip off customers!!!

Yelp
Great location while we waited for the Sherlock Holmes museum to open. Great ambiance, friendly service, and lovely food. Happy we walked past Dunkin Donuts Express and found this place.

Navot S.

Yelp
Had a very bad experience . I work as a chef for 15 years now and know the business .Its on a rare occasion I complain for I know how hard this business is. Came in with three famished daughters after a long day touring London on a Easter Saturday . The ribs came out dry and cold. All our burgers came out well done even though we ordered medium . The kids meal fish and chips were not edible . Our waitress was very nice even though we never got the water we ordered . The waitress did ask if all ok about a minute after we got food we were still getting organized with the kids food couldn't give a strait answer . Had plans to come for breakfast not going to happen.

Yelp
I am in London for a short time and needed to square up before going back to the states. Went in for my first proper shave. Absolutely Outstanding Service.

Yelp
I Always come to bill's to enjoy the nice food, especially for mixed modern and sometimes Asian menu. Loved the pork ribs many times! The design it's minimal and kind of cool but romantic as well and the service was always good enough. Recommended!
google avatar

Ben R.

Yelp
Had an enjoyable experience. The food was tasty and well-prepared, though the portions could have been a little more generous. Between us we had fish pie, duck pie, chicken skewers and butternut squash soup. Everyone was satisfied. The service was flawless. Decor lacked character, one of the main reasons for not giving a higher rating, along with the portion size. But overall, finding oneself hungry in that part of town, and for the price, this was a good option.

Stephanie W.

Yelp
This was the first restaurant I went to after moving to London (can make reservations online). The food was pretty good and the ambiance was nice. It was in a good area with lots to do within walking distance.
google avatar

Anna-Aleksandra R.

Yelp
This was London at its best! We passed it few times but the delicious smell made us try it. We had only some starters, because we weren't that hungry, but the kale scrisps were really crispy and tasty and tortilla chips were just perfect! Staff was super friendly and the playlist was lovely. We will definitely come back to try other dishes!
google avatar

Rebecca W.

Yelp
The Bill's plan for London domination continues! The latest opening in Baker street is very welcome, and is very well placed for transport links. As with all Bill's it has great decor, and a lovely, lively vibe. Waiting for my mum to arrive, I had a cocktail whose name now escapes me but if there's something on the menu with prosecco and elderflower have it, it's amazing! My dinner choice of bacon, spinach and avocado salad was fab, lovely and fresh, and I had the obligatory sweet potato fries (sooo good) As ever, a safe, tasty choice for a good dinner.

Yelp
Every time I move to a different neighborhood, my favorite initial thing to do is find my "go-to" restaurant. The snazzy place that has phenomenal food, a staff that makes you feel like family, and fast wifi. Bill's has checked off on all three.... And then some! My favorite dish was the ribs and gravy sauce. If food can be your significant other, this dish would be my husband.

JOE H.

Yelp
Checked in with a gentleman who will remain nameless, who ended up being out server. He couldn't find our online reservation and went "to check with my manager because it's a new system." A young lady then approached us and promptly found our reservation and seated us. After ordering our starter and main and drinks, the drinks shortly arrived but the starter didn't show for approximately 15 minutes, just when I asked our server where it had gotten to. The Korean chicken BBQ skewers were tasty, but the chicken needed more grilling and some texture. So, now waiting for our shepherd's pies. Our server is standing idly by his station, which is right at our table, does not offer us bread and butter, or a second round of drinks while we're waiting. Pie has arrived and I must say that it's delicious! Our server still has not asked us whether we wanted more drinks and another, female server stopped by and took my drink order. Only once he saw that we were eating, did he ask us whether everything was "ok". Naturally, we said yes, which was not at all due to any effort on his part. Now waiting for the check... Bottom line: decent to good food, abysmally slow kitchen given the amount of empty tables on a Friday evening, inattentive service with a poorly-trained server. We will not be returning here on our next visit to London!

Christina G.

Yelp
Could not have had a better experience! We stopped by during the breakfast/brunch rush. We did not have a reservation, the host was very sweet. We were seated after waiting only 10 minutes. Our waiter was so nice!!! The food was delicious and we did not wait long even though it was jam packed! Our waiter never forgot about us. Checked on us several times. If we ever make it out to London Bill's will be one of our first visits!

Went here for a pitstop on a Sunday, before Madame Tussauds. We didn't book and there was a bit of a queue at the door. Given it was lunch time it was expected - we didn't even wait 15 minutes and got a nice table for 4. Service seemed pleasant and the food was good and brought out quickly. I had a chicken burger which was good value for money ( quite filling too ). They only serve bottle beer and the selection was limited. The Bills beer was nice, light and served in a chilled glass (which is a nice touch). I also sampled the Camden Pale Ale which was sharp and oaky. Highly recommend this if you are on Baker Street. You may want to book during busier times.
