Very nice experience! It's the best hotcake I've ever had! We came on Friday morning and very lucky that had available seat while we arrived, but it was full of people after about 10am, so recommend to come earlier if didn’t make booking.

The food and coffee is very good! Quite pricey for what you get but we were treating ourselves to a nice breakfast whilst on holiday. Upon arrival we stood at the door for a couple of minutes before anyone acknowledged us, with plenty of free seating available at the communal table, they said just give us a few minutes. The man helping us appeared to be the manager on at the time and was very slow paced and monotone, he then proceeded to clear more space on the communal table then offered us a spot at a space that had been empty the entire time we were waiting, which seemed a bit silly to us. Nice overall but the service needs some improvement!

The Mog Champ sends his regards. First time at the bills and we decided to share between the two of us their signature hotcakes and corn fritters! It was a Friday afternoon so it wasn't as crowded as expected. Personally felt like the food came out a little slower than expected and had to ask for water to be served as well. On the other hand I really enjoyed the atmosphere they had, with bright white walls and nice natural lighting. We really enjoyed their hotcakes and corn fritters, definitely recommend either of them. Food is decent the staff just so so with attitude I guess not everyone is good at service too much attitude but the foods ok the kitchen staff are great. It's only hit and miss with the staff I guess. Not easy to find excellent staff in Sydney. Girls are great super friendly down to earth. Atmosphere is nice but I think it's a one off for me I have eaten much better cafes in Syd where the food has so much more flare.

Went for lunch with a couple of friends on the weekend. It was raining, but there were about three groups lined up. I waited in line for about 10 minutes before I was able to enter the store. The atmosphere inside the store is nice. I ordered the specialty ricotta pancakes. We ordered one plate per person, and the portions were plenty big enough. I started to get a little tired of it midway through, so I was right to order some more strawberries🍓 I don't want to eat it every day, but I'd like to go again if I have the chance.♬

Not to speak ill of the dead but considering these hotcakes are absolutely renowned I didn’t think they were that flavoursome. Granted it’s a great texture but sticking a piece of random banana underneath that isn’t even caramelised or anything is not particularly inspired. Not to mention I made a reservation and received about 4 confirmation texts on it yet when I reached the restaurant they had no record of it 🤔

Well I wanted pancakes and so ventured out to find this cafe. Clearly quite popular, I arrived about 8.30am on a Saturday morning and was able to get a table straight away. 45 minutes later when I left there was already a queue. There is seating inside however it seemed quite noisy and so with beautiful weather, I elected to sit outside. There is a nice streetscape and relatively little traffic. I ordered the Ricotta and Pancakes which come with banana and an iced latte. I was not asked what size and was a bit surprised when my tiny little iced latte (served in a glass not much bigger than a latte glass) arrived. Still it has a good flavour and hit the spot. About 10 minutes later my pancakes arrived. They look quite uninviting and simple to look at however they are indeed beautiful and fluffy. They provide a small side jug of maple syrup which I only needed to use sparingly. It’s quite a pricey place to eat ($35 for my breakfast) however the pancakes were excellent and sitting on the sidewalk in the morning filtered light was quite lovely. So good food, good coffee and nice atmosphere. They could however work a bit harder on their service. It felt like I should be grateful for having been served at all.

I had a poor experience here, felt it was a super overrated cafe (definitely NOT the best cafe in Sydney) Going into the store, the atmosphere was nice, loved the vibes, the furniture was really pretty but I think that’s the only good factor of the entire experience. The food was definitely very mid, something I can find anywhere else. It was definitely not worth the price. We ate the famous hot cakes that were $29 and the sourdough for $20. The portions were so small and I’m left hungry even after leaving the cafe. The food took some time to come as well and it not exceptionally good, definitely below average quality! I won’t deliberately make special arrangements for this place. Additionally, the service was NOT it. I would like to explain that this does not account for all the staff. The lady manager was super accommodating and welcoming along with one of the male service staff that catered to us. However, the male manager and the other service crew were just NOT friendly, and did not care for our experience at all. I’m not expecting top notch service but being rude and ignoring us, not wanting to take our order is just not acceptable. Combining the food quality and the service (in addition to the price) I would not recommend this place to my friends at all. I do hope that my review can help Bills as an establishment improve on where they’re lacking compared to other places I’ve been to and I look forward to their new changes.
