Dropped into bills Darlinghurst this morning for some ricotta hotcakes with honeycomb butter and banana + a black sesame latte. Still love this beautiful space. It’s always fresh, generous and aesthetically put together. Lush flowers, high end magazines, great service and interesting art.

Lily deserves our five stars for the amazing service she provided. She was lovely, (rare to find people like her these days), friendly, attentive and always smiling. We loved her energy. However, the food was expensive for the quality. The dish in the picture cost $35 but lacked flavour. The tomatoes and eggs were too watery. Definitely they should improve that! We paid $100 for breakfast that was worth half that much. The coffee was decent & the venue was cozy and nice. We agreed that if we return it will be for Lily’s service. 🤗 Thanks

We ordered scrambled eggs and hotcakes (pancakes), and they were truly delicious. The atmosphere was a bit noisy, but overall the food was very good. The reason for my lower rating is the waiter’s attitude. We visited with our child, and when he briefly touched a salt shaker, the waiter immediately reacted very harshly, repeatedly saying “no, no, no, don’t touch.” Later, when our child stood up on the chair, he shouted again and continued to behave rudely toward us throughout the visit. If this is not a child-friendly café, then it would be better to clearly state that children are not welcome, rather than treating families this way. We just eat in 30 minute an left because of this rude guy attitude.

Came and tried their famous hotcake and it really tasty. Other food on the menu, not attractive to me as there isn't much meat on the other dishes. Large size Latte is slightly bigger than the tap water glass. Attached menu for reference

Despite living in the neighbourhood for nearly 5 years, this was our first visit to Bills Darlinghurst - and it won’t be the last! The atmosphere was really welcoming and relaxing. We had the cheese toastie with the homemade green kimchi and the corn fritters. Both tasted so delicious that despite the generous portion size, the plates were wiped clean. Special mention to the matcha too. But what took the experience from great to outstanding was the service. Lily, in particular, was amazing! She was very attentive and efficient and her wonderfully bubbly personality and energy made our day.

While the coffee was not the best (quite bitter), what really shocked me was what I received after ordering the "bills raw" smoothie. Instead of your standard smoothie, all I got was a small glass as pictured.....for $15 (plus Sunday surcharge).

A delightful Saturday morning brunch at Bills - perfectly crisp corn fritters and a flavour packed chicken sandwich, all enjoyed in a sunny, relaxed setting. The coffee was spot on, and the warm, attentive service from Lily made it even better. This might just be our new favourite brunch spot. Thank you!

Bills Darlo is an institution. Easily the best breakfast in Sydney. The coffee is perfect, and the service is unmatched. Busy days, quiet days, it doesn’t matter. They are consistent, attentive, friendly and a chapter apart. Lily and Charles are delightful. I went there with my family on New Year's Day. It has become a family tradition and a loving way to celebrate Bill's memory. Cheers to you, Bill Granger. Always and forever simply the best!
