Billy Cafe Newmarket

A delightful experience from start to finish. The food was surprisingly impressive, both in taste and presentation. The coffee was expertly brewed, rich and aromatic. A great find for anyone who values quality and consistency. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Loved the sandwich here and the coffee. It was the best we’ve had in a while! The team who worked there were so lovely. If we loved in Auckland we would certainly go often!!

Excellent! The staff is very friendly, really fresh food, it is the most delicious cafe I have ever eaten, the treasure restaurant of the new market, highly recommended!

Curiosity got the better of me. Been going past Billy Cafe every morning for 3 weeks now & was intrigued to see mainly men sitting outside, which to me suggests the food is good, so had to check it out. Was pleasantly surprised. Yes today 9.45am only 2 females (includes me) 5 males. My flat white PERFECT TEMP 64° & I didn't even have to ask💖. I've added pics of food, because I only had $5 on me, it looks amazing. Watching the guys eating- definitely going to come back for coffee & eats. Will add to review.

Their muffins looked yummy - to bad I'm on diet 🤢 September 2022: Still a great place to have a morning snack We really appreciate this cafe gem. A few weeks ago we accidentally came across their chocolate & berry muffins that were amazing. They've been experimenting with them since then. For instance, today (13 March 2022) they put some 🧀 in. But we prefer just 🍫 🫐: fresh, warm, and moist.

Was anticipating great meal from here based on ratings. Lucky to find a parking nearby and it isn't costly to park on carlton Gore Road. However, got quite disappointed as it wasn't the standards I would expect from such ratings. The salad that came along wasn't fresh... Rocket leaves were already turning yellow (and it was quite a turn off for me). The double cheese burger came in 2 small size patties with huge piece of regular bun (that seem to have been bought at supermarket). Hardly much cheese with it. One of the patties had very beefy taste, not something I would expect from fresh meat. Another turn off for me. The sauce was very odd - BBQ sauce with mustard and some mayo. An odd combination that does not blend with the dish. The potatoes was crunchy but after about 2 pieces, you might start to feel its a little salty! When the plate came, it looks odd and unbalance as it looks dry (luckily the table next to us order two burgers too and they straight away also asked for some mayonnaise sauce! This dish need a lot more flavour balance to charge that kind of price. We also had the creamy mushroom and this was good with mushroom flavours but it lacks balance again with the salad from supermarket packs just won't cut it for the price. The poke bowl was good but not great. Overall, it would be a 2.5-3 star for us. Lack balance and they should not give 'yellowing' salad to be served. To me, chef just lack attention to details.

Wasn’t a huge fan of the white part of the poached eggs but. Would still recommend this place. Customer service is so warm and lovely and the atmosphere is gorgeous! The fruit smoothies as well are amazing! And the bacon was cooked perfectly!

Have had Sunday brunch nice little care by the domain. Very nice staff and good service. Has an American flavour so there is different fried food choices but also some nice healthy choices. I had the mushrooms which were yum but would not choose the thick cut bacon again because not into the fat enough. My partner had the cheese burger but in a deconstructed manner as he likes it better that way. The lady next to us just ordered off the sides menu which is great if you do not want a big meal and she highly recommends the hash browns. Cost $&
