Great service, great burger, awesome fries! The owner was very friendly and welcoming and we had a good chat. Well worth a visit.

Worse burgers ever. Paid $50 for 1 Big Billy and one Billy combo. Chips was burned and very greasy. You could taste oil that has been used forever to fry chips. Everything was falling out of the burger. The size of Big Billy was the size of a standard burger at any other place, as you can see in the picture. I wish I had read the reviews before buying the meals. Felt very sick after we left the place. Horrible dirty toilet.

Nice place , good burgers. Maybe a bit too small for the price , but tasty and good- maybe I was just a bit too hungry. You get a buzzer to inform you when the food is ready. It is also in the most touristy area- so higher prices can be expected. Clean place with inside and outside seating.

Haven’t dined in yet, but got a surprise on my way - a free drink from a gorgeous staff with big smile on the face when I was helping delivery. The atmosphere looks pretty fab on Saturday night. Can easily imagine high quality customer service there and can’t wait to grab friends to try some time!

Flavour stood out the most! Everything I ate including the burger, chicken tenders, fries and special sauce, and the chocolate-mint milk shake all had great flavour. When I ate the chicken, I admired how the chicken's coating had a hint of spicy flavour. I also liked how my chocolate-mint shake had some malt in it, which was very good. Also, the fries were cooked well, dipping sauce had some nice tang, and my burger was generally very tasty. When it comes to service, one of the waiters initially forgot to give me the chocolate-mint shake. That was a minor flaw though. However, the waiter made up for that mistake by not only giving me the shake, he also gave me an extra small cup that had some chocolate-mint milk shake liquid in it. That was given to me for me to either pour some extra milk shake into my milk shake, or it was meant for me to simply drink out of. More importantly, I personally thought that was very thoughtful of the waiter. I thought that was very good service. WELL DONE! 😊👍 Overall, all the staff were great when it came to service, the atmosphere was inviting, and the food and the milk shake all had great flavour. I thought Billy's Burgers and Bar was a great burger restaurant. I recommend going here if you are in a mood for burger, when traveling to Hobart in Tasmania. I am very IMPRESSED!😊 4.5 out 5 stars

Recently visited Hobart and decided to visit as I had heard the burgers here were nice. The area was nice being right next to the water, but for the cost this was very underwhelming. The total cost for the meal was $26.50 for a small burger, small fries, and small post-mix drink. You could upgrade for $1 more, but when I asked the staff if this was to increase the chip size as well as the drink I was not given a straight answer. If you’re looking for a plant based burger in the area, there are significantly cheaper and more filling options.

Delicious food, we ordered two burgers, sweet potato fries and buffalo wings and all of them are delicious. Love their sauce and the buns. There are plenty of space both indoor and outdoor and staffs are friendly. The wait for food is on the longer side though.

Pros: friendly staff, large seating area including nice spot beside the water. Burger and chips tasted nice. Cons: extremely expensive for the tiny size. Got the plant-based char siew burger (pictured) + chips & drink. It was $3 extra for the vegan option (apparently different sauce & bun) which was a bit steep. This cost $26.50 & for an idea of size, the chips could fit in the palm of my hand & the burger was half the size of a standard burger. The high price must be due to location, however you can get a meal double the size for half the price in the city, so for this reason I wouldn’t return.
