Really quick easy rental, friendly and helpful service and great bikes. We went for the basic ones and they were absolutely fine. The bike path around the island makes it really safe and easy… and theres no hills so you can get far without any problems. We went through the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge which was a beautiful and peaceful route. We’d highly recommend! And have a full video on @beforethelegsgiveout - insta and TikTok.

Miracles do happen! Yesterday, Thursday, my first time on a bike since several years. I got an autoimmune encephalitis in 2018 and have relearned almost everything (and still walk, talk and do other things poorly). I was very nervous and thanks to an excellent and very patient teacher, BILLY, and cheering husband and 8-year old son I biked all the way to nearest beach. My bike was a tricycle for adults with quite wide wheels. We 3 had SO MUCH FUN. Thanks Billy! You gave us a miracle,

I recently rented a beach wheelchair from Billy’s and had great experience. To start, the online rental service is extremely easy and the prices are very reasonable. Had to contact their customer service team for a question and the lady who assisted me was very friendly and helpful. Lastly, they delivered my wheelchair right on time as promised. I highly recommend Billy’s Rentals in Sanibel Island.

Billy’s Bikes is so amazing. Super fair price and they dropped off 7 bikes at my grandma’s house for my friends and I early in the morning before we were even up! We got a flat tire at one point and within 30 minutes they had come and replaced the bike, again without us even noticing. It’s like magic. And the bikes were perfect— easy to ride, and the baskets are so convenient. Pick up was super quick and convenient as well! We usually have a car when coming to the island but because I came from school without my family we didn’t— I honestly loved biking around so much I think I’ll rent one even just for myself every time I’m here from now on! Couldn’t recommend more!!!

We have rented two bikes with a dog carrier and have been so pleased! We are two days in to a 3 day rental. The bikes are brand new cruisers and are the best bike rentals we've ever gotten (and we've rented a lot!). The prices are very reasonable, and Edward was so helpful and professional to work with. We highly recommend!

We loved our experience at Billy's! We showed up shortly before they closed asking to rent a 4-person surrey, and were totally expecting to have them say "no". Instead, however, the staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. They got us set up with the rental very quickly and gave us a bike lock so that we could just lock it back up on the bike rack when we were done. They gave us lots of excellent and helpful tips and a map of major locations on the island. It was only $35 to rent the surrey for an hour which was very reasonable to get our whole family around the island. It was a lot of fun! I would definitely recommend!

Billy’s is amazing! My family rented bikes this week to ride around Sanibel. I rode a Townie e-bike and my husband and daughter road a men’s multi speed bike, with a Weehoo attached. We had such a great time! Highly recommend renting bikes from Billy’s!

I forgot how exhausting riding a bike can be. Customer service was great, especially since my chain kept coming off. Called and they sent someone to me with a different bike and some hand scrubber! I had grease all over my hands from putting the chain back on several times

We stopped in over Labor Day weekend to get some information for when family comes to visit in a few weeks, and Karina was so helpful and courteous. She answered all our questions and made us feel welcome. We will absolutely be renting our bikes from this business. Thank you, Karina.

Everything was great with our rental experience until we returned the two bikes. We apparently rode past (by 2 feet) when we met Iassac. He explained that we passed the rack and to leave the bikes there. He rolled his eyes and ended his sentence with a disgustiged sigh. His response honestly left me shocked. We took the tags off the bikes (which had our names on them) and went to walk in to return them and let them know we had returned them. Iassac once again approached us and started off with another eye roll and disgusting sigh. I explained that none of that was necessary and simply had a question. We did walk up, and I spoke with an elderly gentleman who claimed to be the manager. I explained our experience, and all he could do was smile with no response. What a joke!!! I'll be spending money with a company that treats people with respect moving forward!!

I was not impressed with the bikes at Billy's. I opted for Hybrid bike and received a bike with hard to change gears. I had to keep tightening the seat. I do not feel these bikes are well maintained, I highly recommend a "test ride" and tightening prior to renting. I am an avid cyclist with a road bike and a hybrid, so I might be picker than most. But I felt the bikes of all 3 of renting were in safe- loose seat, breaks, properly inflated tires, etc.. I did mention when i returned and got a we let them know response.

I love Billy's bikes it's affordable and you can drive your bikes to the beach and restaurants

My review is not for the bikes or the great time we had, or the almost $400 we spent renting bikes and a scooter.. frankly, I don't like leaving bad reviews, check out my history and you'll see. My review is for Billy himself. I met Billy today, I wish I didnt.. evidrntly, the only thing he really cares about is your money. Sadly, his personal honest affection towards peoples ideas won't matter, bikes will always rent. I don't trust people who are only nice to your wallet.. Note to Billy: If a customer has something to share with you, at least listen before telling them to go pound sand up their a$$ with a brick because you got it all figured out. Cheers.

the rental process was easy and the staff was helpful. our bikes seemed to be a little bit run down but still rode fine. i love that they will deliver your bikes to where you're staying. one of our bikes was missing a chain when it first was delivered, but we called and they got it switched out in no time! they also have a lot of great bike options for kids too so the whole family can ride! we rode ours everyday across sanibel and had a blast.

Quick and easy rental process. Our bikes were great, only downside was that we had to walk to pick up & drop off our bikes. Friendly service, they also gave us maps to find some bike routes and nice places to visit!

Great prices!! We rented for 4 hours, and the bikes have nice seats so your bum does not hurt. Nice basket to put your belongings in. They also offer a map to show you the routes of the island.

Billy's Rentals is the best! If you are staying on Sanibel Island I highly recommend renting a bike at Billy's and cycle the two mile treck along Periwinkle to the lighthouse on the beach. If four miles is too far of a ride you can always stop by one of the restaurants along the bike paths and have lunch if you need to take a break. My husband and I like to rent the dorky looking Surrey Bike with the umbrella awning and ride it to the lighthouse. I imagine we are quite a comical sight on this bike since you usually only see senior citizens riding these bikes! We usually argue who is or is not pedalling their fair share throughout the ride, but renting a surrey bike is always the highlight of visiting Sanibel Island!

Nice staff but the bikes and equipment we got were junk. Don't let the staff pick your stuff. Go back there with them and pick it out your self.

Rented beach chairs and an umbrella kit at 10 dollars each. You get to rent for 24 hours and can also return your equipment after hours--no hassle. Great little shop with easy going and friendly employees who aim to see you enjoy your time in Sanibel!

We showed up this morning with a party of 14 and Seth did a great job helping bring order to our chaos and get us all fitted with bikes (tandems, tag-a-longs and various others bikes). We highly recommend this place because of Seth's great attitude and service! Ask for Seth!

Excellent choice of bikes, great team and delivery options. I thought I wanted a hybrid but the flat terrain was perfect for the less expensive one-speed. Basket was super handy. Thanks for the great service, excellent bike, and magical journey on Sanibel!

Always good service. My son wore a helmet and the guy forgot to get me one. When he came back my son asked me where my helmet was. The worker I think understood when I asked for mine and got me one. No issues with the bike. A little squeaky but nothing else. Good pricing. We'll be back next vacation.

Great spot to rent bikes. We rented them for a few days and used them as our mode of transportation. Service was great! They will deliver and pick up the bikes for you as well! From local spots to bike routes they are a must when coming to Sanibel.

Cheapest thing to do on Sanibel is rent bikes! Billy's offers a wide variety of bikes including tandem and kids bikes with training wheels.

my only experience with this company was when one of their vehicles, a small white truck. Aggressively tailgated my wife and I the full length of Captiva. The driver was so close that several times he almost hit us when traffic slowed. We were in a long line of cars but for some reason this employee believed that nearly ramming us would somehow speed up traffic. I eventually pulled over so he could pass because I was certain he was going to hit us. Very unprofessional and dangerous.

Great place!!! Delivery and pick up from the condo is so convenient! If you have any issues while biking they will come to you!

Very friendly, made sure the bikes were working,​ and CLEAN for our use. Even suggested a few trails to try. We will rent again!

The Segway Tour with John was excellent. He has been a resident of Sanibel since he was a child, and this gives his tour that extra special quality no one can match. John shared tidbits about the history of the island, interesting plants and trees, beaches, animals, and so much more. Riding a Segway is so much fun. John will make sure each member of your group feels safe and confident in her ability to use the Segway before you leave the parking lot. It is an excellent trip for families with teenagers like us. Or anyone who weighs at least 100 pounds. You will not regret the expense--best experience so far! We have been coming to Sanibel for 10+ years, and we only wonder why we didn't do this sooner.

My wife and I just spent the day riding around Sanibel Island on the beautifully paved bike trail. We rented our bikes form Billy's Rental and couldn't be happier! The service was so helpful and nice! I can't say enough about how well they treated us and I would definitely rent a bike from them again.

Ryan, our Segway guide and instructor was excellent! He made sure everyone felt comfortable and competent operating their Segways. He watched over us like a mother duck, making sure we were safe and accounted for. Ryan told about island history, pointed out interesting flora and fauna and entertained us with anecdotes from his journeys. By the end of the trip, Ryan felt like family and I feel so competent on my Segway I want to buy one to take home. Treat yourself to this experience. You deserve it. You will have fun and learn a lot about Sanibel Island.

The most unforgettable and worst experience on the island. The worker who was helping us -- their name is SETH. Was so unhelpful, so rude and and made our experience horrible. I would have given Billy's Rentals a higher rating if any other worker there helped us. Seth ruined my entire day by being so rude. I never write reviews but was so angered that I did.

Rented 14 bikes, Seth helped us on a very hot day and did a great job of taking care of us. Bikes were in great shape, rental was easy.

love that they love what they do... i could just hang out at this shop all day. the smiles and friendly convo are contagious - the staff is so friendly that it rubs off on all that step foot on the property. we rented 2 bikes - one with a bike trailer for our 2-year old. no complaints. one of the seat straps came undone on the trailer while on the way back and we remembered them saying "we come to you" if anything goes wrong. we were so close that i just biked close enough to my son to make sure he was safe. can't wait to go back and pay them a visit!

Rented a couple of fabulous little Schwinn motor-scooters here last weekend! The prices were pretty good compared to other area rental companies. It was 50 bucks per scooter for an all day rental. We recieved another quote from a place that was 90 bucks for two hours. So definitely a better buy! They require a $250 deposit per scooter - basically they authorize the amount but don't charge it. The scooters were in great condition and the rental process was quick and painless! It was my first time on a scooter and they gave me a quick 10 minute lesson, which was sufficient enough to figure the thing out. They also rent out bikes of all sizes, segways and beach equipment.

Well maintained, accessible and clearly popular, but in our experience way too expensive to be feasible. $200 a day for a scooter? A car doesn't cost that much. What are you even doing?

We used Billy's Rentals for our stay in Sanibel last year (Summer of '12). We are going back, and have decided to use them again, for a week. The things we liked? First, if you reserve online, there is a 5% discount. Second-convenience..they will deliver directly to wherever you are staying. They are really reasonable, the bikes are in great shape...and, best of all, they have really large frame bikes (25") for men. The Man I Am Married To stands 6-4, so this is a great perk. The bikes come with locks and have baskets mounted as well. They rent multi-speed and one speed coaster bikes. They also rent segways, surreys (I tease TM about renting one), tandems, and all kinds of accessories if you want to have your little one tag along.

So to start , I'm a fort Myers local born and raised . I've been renting from Billy's rental for approximately 6 years and this morning was the worst experience I've had yet . We rented scooters and had them for a 3 hour rental and the rain began to fall about 45 minutes into the rental . Long story short when I went to return my scooter for a refund of the 2 hours I didn't use I was told basically your S.O.L. ! I was shocked to be treated with such a " sucks to suck" response ; especially making it know I have been coming here a lot . Just a heads up ....if it's raining don't rent ! Sad about the crappy customer service !

Very happy with my bike rental from Billy's! When we got to Sanibel, I couldn't believe there are *other* bike rentals, since Billy's is the only one I saw immediately online. Making a reservation is a breeze on their website. You can also easily browse the huge variety of bikes they have and the various prices. Since we were staying for a week, I decided to go with a 3 day rental. They left the bike right outside the parking spot for our unit. Considering the rental prices include free delivery, pick-up, AND a lock - it's super cheap! Had a really great time biking on the island's bike paths and the Ding Darling preserve!

Second time I"ve been here on day trips to Sanibel Island to get bikes to tour the island. Great bikes, great service, efficient and helpful. The ease of access and renting made this biking day trip quite fun. Would absolutely go here exclusively on the island for rentals.

Great place! Was on the road in the Dangle Preserve & hit a rock. They came right out & exchanged the bike with another...no questions asked. Will definitely recommend them over anywhere else!!!

Very reasonable prices. Staff was extremely helpful making sure my wife and I had the proper setup for my two small children. Very flexible of you need to extend your rentals. All of our entire families (10 people) bikes worked great the entire time we were on the island. The best way to enjoy the island is via bike! And the best way to get a bike is to go see these guys! Quick and simple!

We've done weekly bike rentals for the whole family at Billy's every Christmas week for 15 years. Billy's definitely has the best selection on Sanibel. However, the service was oddly poor this year. When we arrived and started browsing bikes, one of the guys informed us, "This is not a candy shop" and told us we'd have to take whatever bike they gave us. When I balked and informed him that we've always been able choose our own bikes, he replied, "I highly doubt that." The first bike he gave me, the bike chain had fallen off the bike. When I pointed this out, I got a bizarre reaction: His colleague blamed me for intentionally knocking off the chain. We still rented the bikes, and the ones we ended up with were fine (although we did insist on choosing our own bikes because, in my experience, there are always a few lemons to avoid). It was Christmas weekend, so perhaps this wasn't their regular staff. I'm giving them a mulligan. We will be back next year.

We've stayed at the Blind Pass condos twice and have used Billy's both times. If you're your arrangements beforehand, Billy's will deliver your bikes to your condo before you arrive so they are there when you get there. Then when you leave, just leave them and they'll come pick them up. They have several options on the bikes and accessories for kids, like trailers and an additional seat with a wheel and a pedal called a Weehoo. On our second trip my bike rode a little rough so we called and got a replacement delivered to us within the hour. We will be renting from Billy's again!!

Maureen and Robin took good care of us! We had the first little kid they've ever seen who didn't want to ride the fun canopied 2 seater! Oy vey what a little stinker! Maureen was so sweet helping us and we finally got going! What fun! Oh and oh so hot! Bring cold water and get ready for a work out! We rode to the super nice playground by the community center and stopped at the island cow for ice cream!

Maureen is the best! We rent our bikes by the week and she always takes the time to fit us to our bikes for comfort and safety! There delivery and pick up service outstanding!

Staff was friendly and helpful. The surrey we rented was a chore for my family of four, but the staff was very attentive and kind. We'll gladly come back, but we'll go with bikes next time!

Located on bike trail. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great bike selection. I rented a recumbent and they let me lock it overnight onsite - no extra charge for lock or storage. Helmets are also free. Plenty of onsite parking too. Bikes have baskets or bags (for storing wallet, iPhone, etc.) Sanibel has miles and miles of protected paved trials cut into lush tropical vegetation. Awesome!

We went in the Segway tour! What a blast! I was scared at first but our tour guide, John, did a great job of training and was sure that I was comfortable before setting out. We are very interested in the plants and wildlife. John showed us and explained so much Sanibel history. He has lived here 40 years or more so was very knowledgeable. I would recommend this Segway rental to anyone and will do it again.

Billy's is a great place to rent your bikes. You can order them online before your trip, and they will be delivered to your condo when you get there, and picked up when you leave. They also rent out the locks and helmets for free with the bikes. We rented 2 adult bikes and 2 kids bikes with training wheels. There was a problem with the pedals on one of the kids bikes, but we took it over to Billy's and they exchanged it without any hassle. You can also rent a surrey for the day (a cool 4 person bike/car thing) and I believe you can rent scooters as well. Across the street they have Segway tours, which are a hoot.

Great little place! Me and my mom wanted the big two person bike with the roof but they said it was a little hard to bike. Thank god or else we would've gotten it. We ended up getting 5 speed bikes and riding around the island. The bikes were in good condition and the workers were helpful and friendly.

I rented a road bike to train while in Sanibel. Got a flat the second day out. Changed it but flatted again. As I waited for my wife to pick me up along comes a Billy's Bike Rental pickup. The man was awesome and offered to give me a ride back to the shop. I said my wife was on her way. He said he would take the bike ahead and it would be fixed when I got there. As he gets in the pickup he says, "oh, I'm Billy." It was THE Billy out picking up bikes and saving people like me. If I had had a pen I would have asked him to sign my jersey. He and his firm are awesome. Have used them for 15 years when we come here and they are consistently awesome. Great client service, great bikes, great prices. AND I met Billy out picking up and delivering bikes. That is a client service story I will tell 20 times.

We rented bikes for 3 days and LOVED every minute! The bikes were well maintained, the staff was very helpful and the island was extremely bike friendly. One of the best $25 we spent during our week!

Didnt rent anywhere else so i have nothing to compare but i was 100% satisfied with Billys. We rented the tandem, they allowed us to test drive it (good customer service) because I knew how to ride and my fiancee didnt. We rented at 3pm, they closed at 5pm or so.... so we got billed 2hrs and the secret is once they close, you can keep it for the rest of the day...cool. We returned it around 6pm, locked the bike up at their place and dropped the keys at the front door slot. South building is a bike shop. North is the rental place....wide selection.

Bikes were ok condition. Had them for three days with the family. This was a great part of the vacation. So many bike paths to explore on sanibel and found this an excellent way to enjoy the beautiful island. Helpers at Billy's were outstanding and personable. Will go back again next trip and rent single bikes for whole family for the week.

Really wish that they stayed open later. Bringing back beach chairs before sunset was too early!
