Bimbi Park

Fabulous long weekend, short stay, booked last minute in a pod. I was worried about no power in the pod but it still beat having to put up a tent and mattresses as it was comfortable, dry and warm overnight. The hosts were able to kindly locate us nearer to the central areas upon request. We loved the set out of the grounds, ability to get a fire drum and everything we needed for marshmallow roasting. Shop was nicely stocked with last minute essentials and treats for the kids. Lucky enough to have had a koala in the tree next to us for 24 hours which was superb! All amenities were well located and we loved the coffee van, pizza night and fish n chip evenings on site served by friendly chatty hosts. Brilliant stay half way between Apollo Bay and Port Campbell. Will be back!!

We spent 4 days at Bimbi Park. We have a fantastic room with our own shower and toilet. The room was perfect. Beautiful sheets and a comfortable bed. The room had a huge window looking out over the fields.. In the afternoon the sun warmed the room and dried our hiking clothes. There was a clean and well equipped BBQ area and kitchen if you wanted to cook. The park itself is clean and well run. We loved our stay and will go there again. Ww think it's the perfect place if you are walking the Great Ocean Walk or want a weekend away with a family. Kids would love the place. It's an amazing place. Highly recommended.

Stayed for 2 nights on a powered campsite with a tent. Plenty of space and easy to navigate the park. This place is such a beautiful and tranquil spot with so many wild koalas and other animals to see and hear! The coin shower system is great, just make sure you are quick with your showers as the 3 mins per coin does go fast! Used the camp kitchen twice and it was so well played out with plenty of space for food storage, bench tops and seating. Thanks so much!

Stayed in retro van for 3 nights. Fun experience like caravanning in the 80s. Comfy bed & good heater fortunately because the nights were chilly. Would be nice to have hot water & somewhere to hang coats but I guess dealing with these minor issues is part of the rustic nature of the camp. Spotted and few koalas, a possum and many birds.

Our family and friends had a fantastic 4 night stay at Bimbi Park. The large bush sites were beautiful, and we loved spotting koalas and kookaburras around the park. My daughter forgot to pack her pillow, staff promptly delivered one to our caravan - a really nice gesture and saved our sleep! We also appreciated the text message reminders about activities like bottle feeding the cows, pizza night, movie night, bush walks etc. The free 13km bush walk offering from Shelly Beach to Blanket Bay, led by Frank (owner & legend) was a highlight and included transport to/from the start/finish line. Wi-Fi was limited to reception, which we loved as it encouraged our family to switch off and enjoy the surroundings. There is so much to see and do in the area too! A really wholesome, family-friendly stay. We’ll be back :)

Such an amazing park with Koalas everywhere. I’m normally someone who prefers national parks, but the bush camp was a perfect middle ground where you still have access to all the facilitates but feel like you’re in the middle of the bush ! Lovely drive in and only 30 minutes or so from Apollo bay so still very close to shops and restaurants. Staff were so welcoming and friendly even during the summer holidays, and offered some many activities from feeding calf’s, costal walks etc. Highly highly recommend anyone stay here!

Another great stay at Bimbi Park - my 4th visit to the camping pods. The mid-week, off-season rates are so budget friendly. The park is pet friendly and in a fantastic location with the Otway national park. Bimbi is not your typical, packed-in-like sardines caravan park; it's very spacious with so many glorious trees.

We had a lovely stay. Plenty of things to do for children, bushwalking and great cooking facilities. We stayed in the cabins and it everything was fantastic and also really nice. Highlights were the splash park and camp kitchen. We will definitely return and highly recommend for anyone looking to spend quality time together and relax.

I really enjoyed camping for 2 nights under the koalas. There were at least 5 hanging around everyday. Lots of great things to do out here. They have a lot of options for camping including cabins, caravan sites, powered campsites an bush camp sites. We stayed in the bush camp where spots weren't designated, you just find a cleared place to set up your tent in the bush. There were a lot of trees so we were protected from the wind. Best thing was having our own camp fire to sit around! They have a pizza night on Saturdays and provide dough and toppings! They do horse back riding tours for only $50/hr, glow worm tours $8/pp and have a lot of walking trails to choose from. They even have a rock climbing apparatus. One of those tall towers.... Not climbing on real rocks as I initially thought. Informative and friendly staff too! The showers are beautiful and you pay $1/3min. Great kitchen facilities and tv room where a lot of young kids were watching cartoons. This place is so family friendly. There were kids and families everywhere riding their bikes, sitting around giant Bon fires and having a Wonderful time. It's about an hour drive to the 12 apostles and 20 minutes away from Apollo bay. (Get your coffee here!) Whatever you do don't miss the turn off! We did! We lost phone reception and missed seeing the 1 sign that said turn left in 300m. We drove for 25 minutes before we got reception again and had to turn around!!! Add that to time spent driving from melbourne! Maybe keep a map in the car when traveling; I plan to!

Dirty kitchen, extremely dirty toilets and showers. Rude welcome. These days Koalas are kept off trees by steel cuffs. Thus no more Koalas on camp site. The operator claims they kill the trees. All in all one of the worst campsites i have seen in Australia.
