we visited the Hawiyat Najm Sinkhole, and it turned out to be an amazing experience for the whole family. The sinkhole itself is absolutely stunning — the crystal-clear blue water looks beautiful, and the entire area is well-maintained and clean. It’s a perfect place for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying nature. If you are visiting with children, I would highly recommend making them wear life jackets because the water can be quite deep in some areas. With proper safety precautions, everyone can enjoy a fun and safe time in the water. Outside the sinkhole, there is a huge park that makes the visit even better. The park is spacious, peaceful, and ideal for planning a picnic or even a small barbecue with family and friends. There are plenty of shaded sitting areas where you can relax, and children have enough space to run around and play freely. The entire place feels very family-friendly. One of the best things about this location is its cleanliness. Toilets are available and kept neat, which is a big plus when visiting with family. The parking area is also easily accessible and well-organised, making the whole visit smooth and comfortable. For swimming lovers and anyone looking for a calm, refreshing escape, this sinkhole is one of the best places to visit. The combination of beautiful water, clean surroundings, and a spacious park makes it a perfect spot for both adventure and relaxation. Highly recommended! 🌿💦✨

Absolutely stunning spot! The Bimmah Sinkhole is a natural wonder — crystal-clear turquoise water surrounded by rugged rock formations. The place is clean, well-maintained, and easy to access thanks to the staircase that leads right down to the water. Perfect for a quick swim or just to relax and enjoy the view. There are shaded areas, picnic spots, and restrooms nearby, which make it great for families too. Try to visit early morning or late afternoon when it’s cooler and less crowded. Definitely one of the must-see attractions along the Muscat–Sur coastal route!

The Bimmah Sinkhole, also known as Hawiyat Najm Park, is a large, natural limestone sinkhole in Oman filled with a clear turquoise water pool accessible by stair. The water is a mix of freshwater from mountains and saltwater from the sea, making it a bit salty. Local legend attributes its creation to a meteorite impact. It is about a 1.5-hour drive from Muscat. Visitors can swim in the refreshing water, and capture moments. There are no lifeguards and you swim at your own risk. For changing swimwear, there are Hawiyat Najm Park bathrooms just to the left inside the entrance. If you are willing to swim there, carry water, snacks, towel, sunscreen and water shoes etc. In the park there are Gazebos, swings and picnic benches for all ages. The park and sinkhole are free to visit. Opening hours are from 8 am to 8 pm daily. Oman's most unique swimming holes make it a must-see !!!

Great place for a swim! We came here end of October and it was really hot weather but not too crowded. The place is well maintained and very clean. This is free to visit and parking, so absolutely a must visit place!

Nice place to visit. The water is extremely clear and the scenery here is amazingly beautiful. Separate play area for kids as well and plenty of car parking available. Make sure you carry snacks and water as there are no shops to purchase inside.

Beautiful and unusual place. Entry to the area is free, and there’s a big parking lot. There are toilets, but no changing rooms or fresh water showers. You go down to the water by stairs. The water is salty and very warm (early November). If you stand near the shore, small fish start nibbling on the dead skin on your feet — a natural fish-spa foot massage. It wasn’t crowded on a weekday, but that probably depends on your luck.

Bimmah Sinkhole is basically nature’s swimming pool — and it’s way better than any hotel one! 🏊‍♂️💦 The water is so clear and blue it looks Photoshopped. Just be ready for a few curious fish giving you a free pedicure. 😂 100% worth the trip — bring snacks, sunscreen, and your camera!

If you visit after viewing videos on Instagram, you might miss the true beauty in person. Still, there are sights that are worth experiencing at least once. It's a natural marvel. The crystal-clear water provides a refreshing atmosphere. If you can swim, you can enjoy the water there. However, the bathroom facilities are not well-kept.
