"Settle in at Bin 119 The Billings Pub Crawl begins at Bin 119, the American Bistro and Wine Bar known for its spectacular cellar and gorgeous decor. A bottle of Joseph Phelps Insignia ‘06 from Napa Valley is going to put the hurt on your pocket book, but there's nothing wrong with going big when you're in the West."

Had a beautifully delicious salad and the best French onion soup I’ve had in awhile!!! The atmosphere was a vibe - classy, moody, and the music was tasteful. The service was amazing.

We recently celebrated our anniversary at Bin 119. The food was beautifully plated and very tasty. My husband ordered the gnocchi and remarked how good , and prepared differently than he’s had at other establishments. He orders gnocchi anytime he can, and he was very impressed. I ordered the watermelon salad, and the arancini and although I usually order a meat entree, this was quite filling and satisfying. One thing of note is, the staff discreetly recognized it was a special evening for us, and brought out a specially made starter (not on the menu). And they finished our meal off with a lovely card thanking us. Many thanks to the staff at Bin 119!

Google
I absolutely LOVE this place! Every time I visit, I have such a great experience! The food is amazing! On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. Bin 119 always delivers. 10/10 recommend!

Google
This place is amazing! The food and atmosphere are some of the best in all of Billings. For my anniversary the whole staff signed a card for me and my husband! They were so sweet and made everything so special.

Our server, Lauren, provided us with great suggestions for wine and food options. Excellent food, service and wine selection — highly recommended.

I always leave the Bin with a smile! Their food is to die for, they have the greatest selection of wine, as well as beer to pair with any dish you choose, and their customer service is amazing! You can tell that they truly care about your experience. The Durok pork chop is definitely a favorite of mine, but you can't go wrong with any dish you choose! Highly recommend!!

Google
10/10! I had a big group in the back room. Service was exceptional, food was plated beautifully and was everything we needed. Blew my expectations out of the water and will definitely host more large groups here in the future. Shoutout to Nick and the team!

It was an excellent experience from the second I walked in, with a friendly greeting. I ordered the Mac and cheese which was every bit as good as the previous reviews. I also enjoyed the hand cut potato chips, crispy and yummy. My hotel check in is not until an hour and they let me hang for a little bit, so I ordered dessert even though I don't have a sweet tooth, but man that dessert was divine. I ordered the chocolate ballerina cup, dark chocolate shell with moose inside and strawberries that paired well with it. The price was a great ending as it was surprisingly inexpensive. Delicious food with classy ambience for an affordable price. Bravo!!!

Yelp
Amazing food! The service is alright it just depends who you get. I prefer take out. One of the best places in town.

Sarah B.

Yelp
I clearly failed to properly read what the BLT was... it isn't bacon. And was under cooked for me. A true BLT should be crispy and amazing. After one bit I sent it back. And I HATE doing that. In my 40 years of life, I've done it maybe a handful of times. Their French onion soup is bomb! And their wine list is good. Not the most amazing list for me to pick from. But it has some decent options. Just nothing called out to me. I don't think I'll be back. My husband enjoyed his meal, and felt bad I didn't like mine. I'm thankful he enjoyed it. Esp since he works so freaking hard. So that was a plus for me. Upon leaving I found out I'm not the only one who has sent back the "BLT," and it's a known issue. Clearly the chef or the owner need to make a change.

Tim M.

Yelp
cozy restaurant, great food and good wine. Great spot before a show at the ABT. I highly redeem this restaurant.

Alexia H.

Yelp
Came in for just an appetizer and drink. Love the decor and dim lighting of the restaurant. Service was attentive, and friendly. Staff was very knowledgeable of the wines available. My friend and I split the crab cakes and we both had a sangria. The crab cakes were a bit disappointing. The coconut curry sauce was great but the crab cake itself had pretty much no flavor. The curry truly saved the dish. The sangrias were huge. Glasses about as big as my head and they were super refreshing and delicious. I plan on returning to check out more food and wine options.

Yelp
This review is dedicated for the honey braised pork belly that is available as brunch menu. I went on late Sunday afternoon for lunch. Ordered the Honey Braised Pork Belly which was served with a site of parmesan polenta and two eggs your ways. It's hard not to ask for poached eggs on a Sunday afternoon. When the dish firsr came I was confused for a second because, silly me, I thought the polenta was egg. Anyway, presentation is okay. The food was perfect cooked though. The eggs were well cooked--runny yolk with solid whites, but it would be 10/10 if only it had slightly fluffier whites. I would say eggs are 8.5/10. The polenta was more firm than mushy, which I think is a good thing because otherwise it would taste heavy. The cheese was quite sharp and really bring a savory element to the plate. The pork belly, though, was delicious. Perfectly crispy and juicy. The pork melts in your mouth. It's quite generously seasoned, which evens out the sweetness of the honey. It's almost like you're eating a thick, melty version of bacons. The only thing is the plate lacks acidity. Although it's still delicious, I think that was why the plate felt heavy by the end of the meal. However, the portion was good. If it's beyond what they have given me, I might have found it too much, but it was an easy meal to finish. Good service! Great ambiance!

Yelp
I really want this restaurant to do well but this is strike two. I ordered the pasta special which was shrimp linguine in a rose sauce. The shrimp was very fishy, the sauce was marginally ok. I hope this place can figure out a good menu!

Daphne C.

Yelp
Food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent. We enjoyed our lunch on the quaint patio and had excellent service. This is the best seafood tempura I've had in Billings.

Curt S.

Yelp
Excellent food, great service. Fantastic lemon cake for dessert. The halibut was superb, the Wagu coulotte was very tender, cooked to requested temperature.

Yelp
So I'm really torn on stars here. Bin 119 has been one of my absolute favorites in Billings for a very long time and as a general rule, this trip wasn't bad. But, I have a hard time with restaurants that don't pay close attention to their orders either. We popped in here for an afternoon lunch after arriving on a flight and were ready for some wine and comfort food. Everyone ordered up some wine which was promptly and accurately delivered. From there, the rest of the group ordered soup and salad while I ordered Brussel sprout pasta. The soup and salad looked delicious and was delivered promptly. However, my Brussel sprout pasta was never delivered. Instead, I got a random beef stroganoff. It was delicious, mind you, but not what I ordered. Since the server didn't come back to check on us once things were delivered, I went ahead and ate what I was served. Again, it was delicious. But I can't help but dock a couple stars since it wasn't what I ordered and it didn't seem like there was much concern for accuracy.

Chun P.

Yelp
I've eaten here multiple times over the past decade, and each time was delicious. Inside is dark, but modern, elegant, and even romantic. The staff have been consistently friendly throughout the years as well. $22 Braised Short Ribs...Angus beef ribs slow cooked, served over demi-glace garlic mashed potatoes. A hearty portion of tender and tasty meat that melts in your mouth. $22 Roast Salmon...lemon & dill seasoned, cooked perfectly with a crispy outside sear, yet still moist and tender inside, lovely! $16 Pork Chop...A thick tender bone in pork chop cooked perfectly with an sweet honey apple glaze, wonderful.

Yelp
Call ahead and reserve a table. It is a popular place and getting a table can be hard. The soup and chowder are great. We sat at the bar and had a good time and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. We ordered a couple appetizers and shared them trying to keep it light. They have a pretty solid wine list and some beer on tap. One interesting thing was hearing the chick behind the bar tell the other chick behind the bar she was wearing the same clothes from the day before because she slept with a guy again over at the Northern again last night... supper and entertainment!!! Lol Enough of that, the food was pretty great!

Pat B.

Yelp
We arrived in Billings on Labor Day. We didn't realize so many restaurants would be closed. Luckily we happened upon Bin 119 and it was open for dinner. They were pretty busy but we were able to get a table. We ended up moving to the bar when a few seats opened up as know one came to take our order at the table. Good decision! Attentive service and we met a several locals who gave us a few tips on sites to see. We ordered pork belly, Brussels sprouts pasta and crab cakes. The pork belly was one of the best I've tried, the pasta was fantastic and while the crab cake was good we thought the curry sauce was a little overpowering. All in all a very nice evening!

Yelp
Lovely interior, friendly staff, yummy food. There's a patio out back that's outdoors if you want to be in the open. French Onion Soup || $3.75 cup Cheesy delicious goodness. I was happy with how much cheese they put in this! Ooey gooey cheese pull action with every spoonful. Perfect for a cool or chilly day. Honey Roasted Pork Belly || $11 Worth every penny! This pork belly is roasted to perfection. Lightly sweetened with honey, the meat is tender and melts in your mouth. Comes served on a bed of parmesan polenta. Nice sizeable portion that lasted me 2 meals, though I wish there was slightly more polenta to balance out that meat to starch ratio.

Steph P.

Yelp
Not just a 'ladies wine bar.' ;). Crab cakes were very unique-crispy and drenched in a coconut curry sauce. Delicious! Bahn Mi Sandwich was underwhelmingly bland, but well portioned. (missing jalapeños!) Chicken fettuccini with mushrooms was also generous but a bit heavy (maybe needing a touch of lemon?). I think we just ordered the wrong entrees as crab cakes were really good. Server was very friendly.

John P.

Yelp
Really outstanding experience! Mellow meal, great food, great service. I started w the small house salad, a nice mix of lettuces, cucumber and tomato. Then the pork belly with polenta, and sautés veggies, also really delicious! I paired with the Tempranillo, great pairing!! The portions were almost entree sized. My waitress was great, attentive but not pushing me through my meal. I would certainly come back!! Nice job Bin!

Ryan D.

Yelp
Bin 119 has been a place I have visited during every visit when in Billings. Great wine list. The atmosphere is casual chic. My husband is from Billings and so many people gave us gift cards because they knew we would use them! Great patio when warm. This last visit, we had some service issues. My husband had the wrong entree delivered. It was still good but it wasn't what was expected. Overall I'm not going to say bad things about Bin. I will say when it's slow, don't just stay at the bar talking when there there is a single server.

Margaret S.

Yelp
We were in Billings for the night and after looking at the excellent menu online we decided to try Bin 119. We arrived at a nicely-decorated, quiet restaurant. We ordered glasses of wine from an extensive list. For our light supper we split the Greek salad, bean quesadilla with the steak option and the pistachio cheesecake which was the special for the day. All met our expectations: arrived in a timely way at the appropriate temperature and tasted fresh and were delicious. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. We found the prices reasonable. When we pass through again we'll go back.

Vasili K.

Yelp
Wonderful food and great service - thanks Jordan! In California (where we flew in from) tapas means small plates. I guess y'all didn't get the memo. I'm stuffed! Last week I had a crab cake that looked like an air hockey table puck. It was limp, overfried, and flat. I'd been burned once, but wanted a tasty crab cake. Thanks to a wonderful recommendation we got a baseball (or Hale-sized I hear-tell) sized portion of a tasty, flaky crab cake, along with the polenta pork belly (WOW!) calamari, a poke bowl and a few local beers to wash it down. Also, the playlist was on point. 10/10 would eat again!

Brianne Y.

Yelp
Perfect small and intimate date night spot! Great wine selection and food is very good! Be prepared for very rich tasting food but it's great. Dessert was a cinnamon roll cheese cake and it was out of this world!! Will definitely be going back. Giving it 4 stars because our waitress seemed a little ticked off but other then that it was wonderful

Laura H.

Yelp
We had a nice dinner at this wine bar/restaurant. We tried it 4 years ago and liked it enough to go again on our repeat visit to Billings. We had two tapas, two salads and a bottle of wine for $68 + tip, which, where we come from (Seattle), is a screamin' good deal. Tapas are $3 off on Tuesdays, BTW. Loved the seared ahinwith sesame seeds. In addition to the tapas, they also have sandwiches and some heartier main courses. Worth trying if you enjoy a wine bar atmosphere.

Amy C.

Yelp
5 stars for the wine 4 stars for the poke appetizer 1 star for the server We were so happy to find this little gem in downtown Billings while we were exploring the area on a Friday afternoon. Nice atmosphere and we liked the tapas menu and wine list. The dealbreaker was the server. I don't recall her name, but mid 40's I would guess- loud and crass. She seemed better suited for a diner. This place has so much potential- I hope they can find staff who will elevate the experience for patrons.

Rach S.

Yelp
We sat on the back patio which was very nice. The food was ok and the service was a bit slow. They have specials on different days of the week including $2 beers on Mondays.

Rachel H.

Yelp
Very clean, helpful and friendly staff. Service and customer oriented!! The braised pork app was drool worthy, tender, yum. Cajun max and cheese: gets better the more you eat it, not big on cheese flavor. Chicken Florentine: "best chicken bread I have ever had" This restaurant wants you to come back and it shows.

Walter A.

Yelp
Baked Brie with toasted flatbread was a fantastic start to dinner. Chicken Florentine and Chile Lime Salmon was delicious. Would highly recommend. Outdoor seating was available. Service was outstanding.

Mary F.

Yelp
Bin 119 served the most unimpressive meal I've had in a very long time. The clam chowder was thick and lukewarm and the spicy chicken curry dish had so little chicken in it that it was hard to find! My entree of blackened shrimp never did come. Furthermore, they seated us at the table right as you come in the door. When the temperature is 10° and people are coming in and out we had to wear our coats to stay warm. It was a Huge disappointment and we don't intend to go back anytime soon.

Gal H.

Yelp
Once again!! Stopped for a quick lunch. We got the Bin burger with mushrooms and havarti cheese, the burger was so flavorful! We also got the warm Brie with flatbread point. It came with a half bulb of roasted garlic, YUM! The French onion soup------delish! One of Billing

Meagan L.

Yelp
Stopped in for a light dinner and was very happy with all of the small plates we ordered. Very reasonable prices and great wine selection. Will be back next time I'm in town!

Marie T.

Yelp
Sadly, my last few swings through Billings and visits to Bin are going to result in a 2 star update... :( This used to be my go-to for great wine, immediate seating, good food... but the last 2 times I've been, the service has been average and the food has been really awful. Poke bowl = no go Chicken pasta dish = no go Lobster Mac = used to be my favorite, now is severely lacking in flavour and is basically a few chunks of lobster in a bowl of noodles Wahhhhh!! What happened?!

Gail H.

Once again!! Stopped for a quick lunch. We got the Bin burger with mushrooms and havarti cheese, the burger was so flavorful! We also got the warm Brie with flatbread point. It came with a half bulb of roasted garlic, YUM! The French onion soup------delish! One of Billings gems!

Yelp
This was my favorite restaurant in Billings (tie with Burger Dive). Portions are ample, food is wonderful, and the service is very good. I would definitely come here again.

danielle c.

Yelp
Not only does Bin119 have amazing food and wine, they have the best service and really care about their customers. The team at Bin caters to each individual and makes the environment friendly and inviting. 1000/10 would recommend

J F.

Yelp
Great wine and food good too. Waitress so full of herself and stuffy. Hey you're in Billings not Paris miss stuffy. Loved this place despite the snoots waitress/bartender.

Jeremy L.

Yelp
Great place. Pretty much everything I've had there has been great. Had a panini that was awesome, and less than $10. Damn! Decent beer options, given the few taps, which is cool. Also a comfortable place with big enough tables to hold a group. Service was great, too. All around solid.

Ryan C.

Yelp
The food quality here has been steadily slipping in the last few years. We live west of Billings, but have frequently made a special point of coming here when business or pleasure requires a trip through the Magic city. At one point, I told everyone I knew (personally or professionally) to stop by for lunch. I also recommended dinner -- but lunch was some of the best you could get in downtown Billings. I cannot recommend the place for lunch anymore. The atmosphere remains good, and the wine is appropriately priced -- but each of the 4 meals I've had in the last +/- 18 months has tasted less like "gourmet" and more like an Olive Garden. I don't know what the issue is. The wait staff remains good. Cleanliness is also good. Wine list remains good. --- But the food is somehow neglected (Salmon far overcooked -- butter/cheese ratio to pasta/protein off, andno spices, etc.) I hope they turn it around. This was once my favorite place to dine in DT Billings. For the interim, I'll choose one of 4 or 5 other good spots within 2 blocks of the DoubleTree (Crown Plaza / Sheraton).

Matt K.

Yelp
Don't come in much, wine place for the ladies. Good date atmosphere. The Bin 119 burger "medium" but nah, well done. Too much char on it, maybe a dirty griddle top. And zero condiment. Bun just cold and plain. No aoili, no sauce, not even ketchup mayo mustard. Dry and Charcoal. Split pea soup was good and I poured that on some of it. Haha. The Crab and Artichoke dip was great.

China D.

Yelp
A nice place to eat in the middle of Billings. I came here for a light/late lunch and wasn't disappointed. I ordered the crab cakes and a side spinach salad with the tomato basil dressing. The crab cakes come on top of a yellow curry sauce which is very delicious and surprisingly didnt overpower the taste of the crab. The crab cakes had a nice crunchy outside, i would order them again for sure. The spinach salad was good but wasn't terrible special. I had a glass (or two) of their red sangria and it was absolutely amazing and the price ($4.50) was reasonable. I will definitely return next time im in billings!

Paige P.

Yelp
Such a cozy atmosphere! Great date night place. Had a great appetizer and wine flight. This place has some staple food such as steaks and then dresses up some classics like chicken Florentine with candied walnuts. On par with other places like it for price, but the subtle atmosphere and vast wine and beer selection make it exceptional. We will for sure go back again!

Marena G.

Yelp
Relatively new to town so I am randomly checking out places, and I'll preface this by saying that I expect a restaurant to serve me a better version of food than I can get at home, and my husband is a pretty damn good cook. Hence lunch today at Bin 119 was very disappointing the soda was flat, the fresh made potato chips were stale and the panini was made with some store bought pre-packaged flatbread that wasn't even toasted! Overall the sandwich was edible, but bland and not enjoyable. Definitely won't return.

Mike L.

Yelp
Duck with poached pear was excellent from the tapas menu, ravioli was more like 4 inch sombreros, good sauce but filling was dry Next time stick to thetapas dishes

Kali M.

Yelp
Bin 119 serves brunch until 2 on Sunday which is always a big hit! We sat outside on their back patio which was so adorable! I got the stuffed French toast and I ate every bit of it. I hear they make good drinks but I have yet to try one. Maybe next time!

Indi G.

Yelp
I really like the food and wine but the waitress who was suppose to be working came to take our order and the person I was with was on the phone so instead of asking she said I'll just wait till he's off the phone. Never came back and told others at the bar that if people want to order to get off the f-ing phone. So to to owners, please work with your bar staff to treat all people with dignity and respect.

Shelly L.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite places to go eat! The atmosphere is nice, and food good. You're able to order fine dining or just an appetizer or sandwich. However, one of my favorites was the portabella mushroom burger, which is no longer on the menu. I'm hoping it has something to do with the time of year. My husband always has loved the Bin Burger, but it has been changed, so he ordered the cheeseburger. He was disappointed. The flavor was still good, but the bottom bun was too soggy to eat. Our friends had the sirloin and loved it. I'm hoping next time we go that my rating is 5 stars, but we will return!

LORI F.

Yelp
Came for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Hardly anyone there but cozy environment. Ordered brunch- salmon and eggs. They were accommodating to swap the English muffin and tomatoes for some greens (I'm allergic to both). Food was great but small portions. Think a cup of fruit or a bit more portion would have been good. I'm not a huge eater, more of a grazer all day, but I left feeling a bit hungry still. Overall I would go back. Great environment I'd like to experience for dinner. Good style blend of Montana meets modern.

Libby K.

Yelp
The food isn't good enough for the prices they charge and waitresses are constantly behind the bar drinking and not paying attention to customers

Lori P.

Yelp
Best food ever. Great company, great beer... And Hello, $2 beers on Monday? Now that's a deal. Calamari is to die for and the bruschetta was beautiful and delish. Great management and beautiful decor. Highly recommend and I will surely be back.

Wendy W.

Yelp
Had a great meal in a classy restaurant for a great price! - $10 bin burger: juicy, flavorful, bun toasted just right. Amazing deal for great burger - crab cakes: lots of crab meat, not much filler. True what other yelpers say: coconut curry sauce is more sweet than curry, but goes well w/the crab - this place is known for the wine, but the beer on draft was good! Had the IPA & Glacier Altbeir both from Red Lodge, MT. Would totally drink those again - creme brûlée: get it! So good! I'm SUPER picky about my creme brûlée & have been to many Michelin star rated restaurants that have failed on this. I was impressed... To the point where I thought it was worth my time to write this review. The creme is rich, vanilla & creamy. The brûlée was thick (as it should be) w/the best crackle- that's how I judge my creme brûlée- by the crackle as my spoon breaks through the sugar coating. It has to be hard, crunchy & carmelized. Anything softer is no good. Also, service superb & atmosphere clean, warm & comfy. I had an all-around great meal & left happy & full. Will totally be back. Will totally have the creme brûlée again!

Jan M.

Yelp
This is getting to be a favorite! I've eaten here 4 times this last month! I love their patio in the back, it's quiet and not crowed. Great specials on Monday, 2.00 beers on tap and 15.00 steak special! Their blue cheese burgers are a favorite too!

Trina W.

Yelp
Outstanding Brunch. Mimosa special. Two of has the veggies scramble, one with egg whites, with potatoe melody, whole wheat toast. My husband had Mexi Scramble wasnt overly spicy. Friendly staff, quick service in our visit
