The Oldest Newest Wine Region in the World

"Housed in a residential apartment in Tbilisi, this intimate restaurant grew out of the owner’s rooftop winemaking experiments and retains a familial, hands-on atmosphere: the husband (a former doctor) and his wife (still practicing medicine) converted their intended family home into a dining room where dozens of qvevri are buried on a raised sand-and-pebble terrace and their young son even started making and selling wine. Meals run late into the night and feature simple, delicious Georgian dishes—qartuli salata, pkhali, and garlicky marinated cherries among them—served alongside the terrace’s traditionally made, qvevri-aged wines that feel rooted in the country’s millennia-old vinicultural tradition." - Ray Isle

What a fantastic experience. Kudos to Zurab, it was amazing to meet him and hear his story. You can really feel the humbleness and passion for Bina 37. Bina is Georgian for apartment and that’s exactly how it feels - Zurab inviting you to his home. The service was excellent and warm, the place itself has a bit of a speakeasy vibe (it really is located in an ordinary apartment building), and the food was absolutely delicious. It’s my #1 restaurant worldwide ♥️ the best part about it is that the clay pots full of wine are casually located out on the balcony. We will definitely be back - can’t recommend this place enough. It’s open even though it says temporarily closed on google maps, be sure to give him a call and reserve in advance to get the best experience. Madloba!

Not an easy place to find. However definitely worth. All what we have taseted was delicious. Be sure to try liver pate, ideal. Quite good locally made wine, both classic Georgian. If weather supports take outer place.

Absolutely stunning place! Delicious food, great atmosphere! Very heart-warming and welcoming owners 🤍 Best place to experience Georgian hospitality 🤍 Pretty costly but worth every penny, plus, the place is hidden and uneasy to find - 2nd entrance (on the right, behind the corner, 8th floor) ... So, if you are lucky enough to win these people over, you will definitely become a part of the family 😊

We had a lovely and very unique experience at BINA N37. The rooftop is gorgeous and the food, especially all the starters, was delicious. **Worth noting that the restaurant is reservation/advance booking only. If you also heard of BINA N37 via the New York Times and are having trouble figuring out how to book, I'd recommend reaching out via their Instagram.

A truly unique experience with truly extraordinary food. But beyond the meal itself, what sets this place apart is how you genuinely feel like a most welcome guest in a beautiful Tbilisi home.

Amazing service, wonderful cuisine, mixed with amazing views and unique interiors. The price, though, is a bit above average, so keep it in mind.

MUST book 1-2 days in advance, the apartment is open by appointment only, not a restaurant format. I have nothing to say except that this is the most delicious place, at least in in Tbilisi. There are no unfortunate shifts, dishes or star positions here. It's exceptional professionalism in the kitchen and in the hall at any time of the day or night. The interior, all the furniture, paintings, lighting, tableware as well can not leave indifferent <3 However, the magic of this apartment is not only on and around the table, but also at the table. Amazing, enchanting atmosphere that Zurab creates together with his guests. It is inexpressible energy, endless conversations on any topic. These are new people who are magically gathered by this place, who after a little time you don't feel like strangers. Every night here is exceptional and memorable. You can read and see a lot, or you can come and experience it once, which is what I wish for everyone <3 I've been here 100 times and come back again and again.
