If you hate amazing food, wonderful staff and fantastic atmosphere then do not come. Here, you will find a refined menu with flavours you will go to bed and dream about. We sat at the kitchen bar and had the most fantastic experience. The Korean cucumber and pork belly yakatori are essential. Chicken skins a regular favourite also.. I recommend booking the next table you can (be prepared to wait a few weeks) and tell all. Your friends. A true gem in Brighton emerging foodie culture.

Probably the most popular place to eat in Brighton as you need to book few weeks in advance to find a table! And definitely makes sense! Food is great and tasty! The staff is friendly and quick! And I just love the music and the vibes! The only thing that needs to be improved is the seats, which are very very uncomfortable.

Just delicious food & the staff were lovely Got a 5.30pm spot and yes it's early to eat, but so pleased we did. If that's all you can get do it... we couldn't have tried this place while in Brighton for a couple of days otherwise.

SUCH a gem! Bincho Yakitori has this cozy, intimate vibe that feels super authentic. The skewers are incredible, especially the pork belly and chicken hearts. Each dish has got this delicious smoky flavor. The hispi cabbage with black garlic is a must try too. You might think that Bincho yakitori is no good for vegetarians but the veggie dishes are just as delicious. Portions are small but reasonably priced, which is great for trying a bit of everything. The staff are friendly and know their stuff, so don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations. They’ve also got a solid selection of sake and Japanese beers to pair with the food. If you’re in Brighton and want something different, give Bincho a go! It’s the perfect spot for a casual night out or a cozy dinner with friends. But make sure to book in advance!

One of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve been to in the UK with affordable prices and high quality food. Each yakitori was flavourful, grilled to a high standard, and the staff were friendly. A must visit, advance booking is highly recommended

I highly recommend this restaurant in Brighton and Hove - preston street. Firstly, great location. Secondly, it's one of brighton's best and so you have to book in advance otherwise you risk not getting a table. Now on to the food; I adored the salad with salmon sashimi as I love sushi 🍣 but also the fried cauliflower is a must try! So delicious. For the meat lovers, the skewers are delicious; try the quail egg wrapped in bacon, chicken hearts and meatballs which are so soft and go amazingly with the egg yolk. It's recommended to have about 3-4 plates each and definitely share so you get to try a little of a lot. The service was very speedy, and smiley, which is all you can ask for. The atmosphere was awesome, especially for us sitting at the counter, watching our food being made and having it delivered to us by the chefs as soon as it was ready 😀 The Japanese decor is very aesthetic. It's worth what you spend.

Bincho is long been considered Brighton’s best restaurant and as a natural contrarian I just couldn’t believe that the hype would match but 4 years on from my last visit, it’s as good as ever. We barely scratched the surface of the menu and everything we tried was sublime. The salmon yakitori - perfection. The seabream tempura - maybe the best fried fish I’ve ever eaten. The tofu karaage - incredibly bold and interesting flavours/textures. There wasn’t a weak link and we were literally planning our next visit mid meal. Believe it folks. Bincho is the real deal.

The food was spot on and it really felt like an izakaya. The unusual chicken skewers which are typical in Japan were cool and the extensive beer and whiskey menu was good to browse; our highlight was probably the Korean cucumber. However, I can’t tell if the sticky door that kept letting a draft in added charm or would be a five minute fix that would improve the experience.

Yelp
A surprisingly good yakitori restaurant in the heart of Brighton. Probaby closer to a 4 than a 5 rating but given the relatively slim options for this classic Japanese cusine in England it is absolutely worthy of your attention. Upon entry the interior will already give off some good signals - it looks and feels like you'd expect a proper yakitori place would be. It's also quite busy so clearly this is not a hidden gem for the locals. The food and drink was really good. Chicken was juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection; normally I don't like sauce on my yakitori but here what they used was subtle and tasty. The typical asparagus and bacon sticks with bacon however were were really, really good and may be the best versions of these classic skewers that I've ever had. Sake selection was also on point and not outrageously expensive like it is at other locations around the country. The server recommended a great one to me and was very well informed on the selection. What's not to love? This place appears to be often packed and if you're sitting at the bar expect to be squeezed in amongst other patrons. Very recommended if you're in Brighton!

Yelp
There has been a lot of hype surrounding Bincho Yakitori, and my god do they live up to it! They have a great bar which you can sit by and watch the chefs work, sadly there was no space (we luckily got a last minute reservation on a saturday night at 9pm) so we were seated at the back of the restaurant, quite a tight fit as our neighbours pinged their lemon slice over to our table, but no problem, the atmosphere was great! The concept is all small plates with the idea to share with the rest of the table. I definitely over ordered. My eyes were certainly bigger than my belly! To start we had pickles & kimchi - I always order these at other asian places. We then proceeded to order pretty much every vegetarian dish (my partner had the pork belly and chicken thigh skewers and said both were amazing). I asked our waitress how many she suggested, she told us 2-3 dishes each to start with then we can aways order more if hungry. But we are greedy greedy people so ordered an astonishing 9 dishes, it was definitely too much! Luckily I took it all home in a box and had it for lunch the next day. My favourite dish was the miso aubergine and the green salad. The green salad came with crispy lotus root and tamarind. Great sake selection, I opted for the nigori cloudy sake which was served traditionally in a glass, which is inside a masu - which is essentially a little wooden box. You may think this is strange, but the wood adds to the flavour of the sake. You can either drink straight from the box, or pour into your glass when you've finished the glass. Also had a great selection of Whisky which we of course sampled. Our bill came to just over £100 for 2 of us, and I am not ashamed to say £50 of it was all on whisky! I will definitely return, and maybe order less dishes, but still the same amount of whisky!

Yelp
Chahir Maizi visited Bincho Yakitori from an article reviwed in the Worthing Herald and Littlehampton Gazzette and was truely amazed by the service, decor and food. The sushi was trusly wonderful and highly recommended by myself Chahir Maizi.

Yelp
I love this place! I've been three times now and never been disappointed. Recommended to me by my good friend who I also happen to share an office with - she's been my introduction to food places in Brighton as I'm relatively new to the area. I love the concept of lots of small portions of food, I'm not a big eater so I usually struggle to get through the average portion for one person, but this allowed me to have all the variety without feeling wasteful. Highlights for me are the chicken skins (so good I promise!) and pork belly skewers, though pretty much everything I've had in there is great. Boyfriend enjoyed their king prawn special as well. Their drinks are also worth a mention, I love both the plum wines on the menu. The sake is pretty good too, if you are new to sake, try the taster sakes, they bring you three different sakes to taste and they explain the difference in taste as well, and they give you a pretty reasonable amount of sake. Staff are lovely, you can see the chef cooking. One of the ladies I went with the first time is gluten intolerant and let them know when we booked, they were really great about it, attentive, gave a list of things that she could have (quite a good proportion of the menu), and the chef even had a little chat with her. It's definitely one of my favourite places. It is a small restaurant though and I would advise you book a table, All three times I've been we booked, all three times I watched as several groups were turned away without a reservation.

Yelp
A fairly new arrival on the Brighton food scene: welcome, Bincho Yakitori! I like you. There is a lot that this restaurant gets right: easy, quick service. Fresh flavours. Solid price point. Small, intimate feel (30 covers, roughly). For a restaurant that has yakitori (skewered, grilled things) in its name, however, it was a real disappointment to trek down to Preston Street and to be informed...no yakitori at lunch! In fact, the lunch menu is extremely sparse: no starters or desserts on offer, just 4 dishes and one special. All of the options came with a tangy salad, a side of rice, and some (unfortunately lukewarm and not salted as I like 'em) edamame. The proteins on offer included teriyaki salmon and chicken (the chicken was the special of the week), a pumpkin vegetarian option, and chicken kara-age. For 7 pounds per plate it was a great lunch option, and the meat was easily the star; I could have eaten 2x the amount on my plate but, since "restraint!" is my summer 2015 keyword, maybe I'm glad there was no option for seconds. It was all delicious, but I really did miss the yakitori which seem inventive and perfect for summer sharing (n.b.: cuttlefish yakitori! Pig chitterlings! Yes, yes, yes!). This restaurant is probably still finding its feet - their Twitter (@BinchoYakitori) suggests they've only been serving takeaway lunches for over a month. Resolved to give it another go, no arm twisting involved! Yelp note: we were here for lunch, but the nighttime scene looks promising at this spot...drink specials in particular look intriguing! #IHaveAThirst
