We went to Binchstub for a small dinner wanting to try a tarte flambé to share. I enjoyed it quite a bit and it was just the right thing after a rather big lunch. The Alsatian Pinot Noir they had on the menu however was outstanding. Only downside here is that it is a rather small bar, so expect to be close to other guests.

Great option for eating Flammkuchen / tartes flambées in Strasbourg centre. If you don’t like touristy restaurants and want to join the young crew, this is the place. The Flammkuchen are very good quality, the service is nice, plus is a convivial atmospheric place with one long table to share and some little tables.

Here is the place to go for a cool Alsatian beer with your friends accompanied by tarte flambé! Rather small and cosy, the owner also knew Good English!

Phenomenal tartes flambées and phenomenal wine selection with some unusual varieties. The hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful. It’s a tiny, super-cozy place with barstools at several small and one long communal table. We’ll definitely come back if we get the chance — à la prochaine!

Great place for traditional Alsatian food! I got the traditional tarte and a glass of Riesling, both were fantastic. Staff were also great

Incredible - a must to try to Tarte flambee, try the goats cheese, you won’t regret it. Great atmosphere and friendly service. It’s small and popular, so arrive early or reserve

Nothing but vibes in this place! The tarte flambees are made from scratch with local ingredients. I got half and half, which was great for my first time. One side had cheese and mushrooms, and the other half had a stronger cheese. It was absolutely fantastic. The riesling to pair was super! The hip music playing in the background added to the perfect ambiance.

Lack of hygiene by the staff and impolite service! We made a reservation and were seated next to the kitchen so we had a good visual of how they prepared the food. First of all they reused the same wooden plates without cleaning them properly with soap, they just removed the remaining food. So, basically all people eat from the same plates continuously which is a health hazard! The waiter helped in the kitchen by adding arugula and other ingredients on top of the tartes but he didn't wash his hands properly even though he touched everything previously. To top it all, the waiter sneezed on his hands, touched his nose and then continued adding arugula on food. Also, the waiter looked polite however even though we spoke french he insisted in responding in English. This is quite impolite and a bit racist behavior towards non french people. The restaurant is quite small but has a nice atmosphere with laid back vibes which is nice. If hygiene existed in this restaurant then I would suggest it, however it's not acceptable to prepare food this way and restaurants like these are a health hazard and should be closed!
