For a country which, without wishing to be disrespectful, has not made a huge impression on global or even continental football, the Bingu stadium, the national stadium for Malawi, is an impressive structure. Entry into the complex is a little chaotic, but once inside it is very easy to grt in and out of the actual stadium. For most European and North American visitors, the tickets are extremely affordable and, while there is the annoying athletics track which puts you at a distance, the views of the pitch are clear and uninterrupted. For visitors to Lilongwe, if you get a chance to catch a match, I would definitely recommend going.

In a tightly contested CHAN qualifier at Bingu National Stadium, Malawi secured a crucial 1–0 victory over South Africa, with Zeliati Nkhoma netting the decisive goal. Under the guidance of head coach Kalisto Pasuwa, the Flames demonstrated tactical discipline and resilience, setting the stage for a promising campaign

Great venue for a football experience. Good car park and recreation service, even though sanitation services are not really in good shape.

The Giant stylish Bingu National Stadium is one of the iconic developments of Malawi. It is named after Malawi's former President, Late Bingu wa Mutharika. Opened in 2017, the Stadium is based in the Capital City Lilongwe and holds 41,000 people. It's a must visit, whether one loves sports or not.
