This Montana Town Looks Like a Christmas Card—And ‘Elves’ Decorate It Each Year With 10,000 Feet of Garland and Lights

"For breakfast, lunch, or a bit of shopping, this casual spot doubles as a market stocked with charcuterie essentials and picnic basket provisions; open daily except Tuesdays until 4 p.m., it’s a great choice for a post‑hike afternoon pick‑me‑up." - Lydia Mansel Lydia Mansel Lydia Mansel is a writer with more than eight years of experience editing and writing for both brands and online publications—with a particular focus on travel, fashion, and lifestyle. We loved our stop here! This place is really nice and clean. There is outdoor and indoor seating. We loved the outdoor seating overlooking downtown Bigfork. They also have a cute gift store area. We got a couple of coffees and a smoothie. It did take about 15-20 minutes to get all four of our drinks. The coffees were strong but good. They had so many flavors and options which is GREAT! The environment was great and the staff were very friendly. There was a nook with books and games which was neat. We would highly recommend Birch Provisions!

I’ll have you know I’m an expert skier, so let’s break down this spot. The only other breakfast spot had a 45 min wait so we went here. Here’s the pro tip it’s upstairs look for tbe stairs or elevator. The food is great the place is so bright and have great views. I loved the salsa with thee breakfast burrito. They are so kids friendly they have a library with kids books and color such a vibe! Ample parking on the street. Coffee was good as well.

Just like the other reviews- the food and coffee were top notch. Everything about the breakfast burrito tasted fresh with quality ingredients. The vibe was great and they even have a kids table with legos which entertained our daughter. Highly recommend this spot.

I have been coming here for some time and eating their food, drinking their coffee, and diving into their desserts. I can honestly say, that everything I have ever tried has been top notch! The breakfast burrito is by far the best one I've ever had, and I've had my fair share of breakfast burritos in my day. When they have soups, my heart leaps because I know Codi always makes amazing soups that I am dying to try. The chocolates that Karen makes are heavenly. Recently, she's been making Dubai bars that I have only been able to have a couple of times because they sell out so fast. She also makes truffles, chocolate covered Oreos, and my favorite, her scones. If you want to experience the worlds best scones, go to Birch! The owner, Stephanie, is so personable and really makes you feel at home. I love chatting with her and learning more about her flourishing business. The talent and love poured into this establishment is felt with every bite, sip, and cute gift. Although Birch has been around for a short time, it has become a wonderful and cherished staple in Bigfork, Montana.

This is the best coffee shop in town and, to be honest, one of the best I've been to in my life! Amazing lattes, pastries, hand made chocolate, and also they make smoothies and breakfast meals. Best coffee for the best price. Fast internet, lots of space, cozy, very friendly welcoming hosts. Don't forget to check out their gift section and produce from local farmers. Also they have a kids table with games, Lego and a lot of books.

I LOVE Birch, the food is incredible and it has a very welcoming and cozy atmosphere. You can tell they are using high quality products and that all of the dips and spreads are made in house. Stephanie, the owner, goes above and beyond to try and welcome guests while bouncing around, working front and back of house. Birch is truly a little gem in the heart of Bigfork, go check it out if you are in the area!

Yelp
Bigfork's best kept secret! Stair and elevator access to a clean, cozy, sunlit cafe; very popular with local tradesmen, their families, seniors and teens.( quiet play corner for kiddies plus a great take and leave library for adults.) Menu changes seasonally with interesting breakfast and lunch choices. Our current favorites: Reuben on rye loaded with kraut and dripping with cheese or chicken/bacon club on croissant. Espresso and freshly made, bakery delights daily. Well appointed gift shop. Friendly staff. A new, Bigfork venue for those with discriminating tastes who deplore fast food. What's not to like?
