I found this place a long time ago and it's a staple for my husband and I to come to whenever we visit the area (usually a few times a year for over 11 years - dang I feel old...).
Over the years, we noticed that this became a stop on tour buses to the area or maybe it always was and we just started to see them. That's cool and good for the market, but also makes things a bit pricier and sometimes a little more generic.
Way back around the time that I think Grandma Jack's popcorn first set up there, we were stocking up on these popcorns. They have steadily risen in price and while we used to get bucket loads each time we went, at around $20 a container for the mixed one we like, it has become too much for us, even as a splurge, for popcorn.
The Kettle Village Kitchen also has a little spot there which is nice, where they sell some of their pickles, chips, dips, jams and salsas. This is convenient for when we don't want to head to the Village itself and go through that big store. We usually get the tortilla chips and their mild salsa. They taste great together and we usually get extra chips to use with chili I make at home. So much better than any other kinds I've had.
They also have a little food counter to get hot food or beverages, bakeries with local goods, a meat counter, produce, souvenirs, chocolates, chips and more Amish goodies.
Now, we usually always make this a stop because I love the cherry apple cider from Kaufman's Fruit Farm so I usually just pop in (it's right by an entrance), grab a gallon, throw it on ice in a cooler and bring it home to Brooklyn (after a day making our rounds lol). There is also a taste section where you can try one they're advertising for 25 cents.
Most times that's what we run in for, but on occasion, we'll walk around and crab some snacks as well.
If you've never been, it's worth a walk through. Plenty of parking and near other stores to check out.
