On a food tour visit to the region, we decided to visit this place before we went back home. It was a fun experience. The birds were amazing to interact with and observe. They seem to be treated very well. There were also a lot of bon-bird animals there that were nice to see. Even stopped by the gift shop to pick up a mug that looked cool. All the employees were very welcoming and super nice. I would recommend checking this place out of you want to spend 60-90 away from the gambling, and just want something more relaxing to do

We visited Bird Kingdom in Niagara Falls with my wife and our young son, and it turned out to be a very pleasant and memorable family experience—especially for a child of his age. We booked tickets online, which was clearly the better option: • Adult admission: CAD $20.95 per adult (Online) • 2 adult tickets: CAD $45.90 • Online discount: $2 per ticket (total $4 saved) • Subtotal after discount: $41.90 • Tax: $5.45 • Total paid: $47.35 CAD • Child (our son): Free (age-based) Online booking was smooth, instant, and helped avoid paying more at the counter. Entry at the gate was hassle-free—tickets were scanned directly from the phone. The entire place is an indoor, climate-controlled walk-through aviary, which makes it perfect even in winter. Birds fly freely around you, often sitting on branches right above or beside visitors. The colours, sounds, and movement immediately caught our son’s attention—he was genuinely excited and curious throughout the visit. He especially enjoyed: • Watching colourful birds up close • Seeing tortoises moving freely • Standing still while birds flew overhead (a rare thing for a toddler!) For parents, it felt safe, calm, and well-maintained. The paths are stroller-friendly, and the environment is clean and thoughtfully designed. This is where Bird Kingdom really stands out: • Not crowded or noisy • No rushing or pressure to move fast • Plenty of opportunities to stop, watch, take photos and videos • Staff were polite and happy to guide or answer questions We were able to capture lots of photos and short videos without any restrictions, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The visit took us about 60–90 minutes, moving comfortably at our own pace. It’s not massive, but it doesn’t feel short either—especially with a child who wants to observe everything. While the experience is enjoyable and well-maintained, the entry fee feels slightly on the higher side for the overall size and duration of the attraction. A marginally lower price or more family-oriented bundles would make it even better value, especially for repeat or local visitors. While adults may see it as a short attraction, for kids it’s immersive, calming, and genuinely engaging. Our son enjoyed it far more than loud or crowded attractions nearby.

Bird Kingdom is a beautiful tourist spot which has a museum with the informational portraits and items collected related to the same , very informative and they have a variety of birds and reptiles in the place. Children are going to be excited and adults will definitely be intrigued especially if you are someone interested in birds. You get to click pictures with your favourite birds. And get a digital copy of the same. The place has a cafe to grab something to drink and snack. They do have a gift shop to collect souvenirs. Worth it. Additional information- they have parking and restaurant set ups if you want to just sit there for sometime , click n number of photos, be in nature while you enjoy watching these beautiful birds, grab coupons for other attractions around Niagara.

Visited the Bird Kingdom on Boxing Day with my family. For the price I would consider this experience quite worth it. There was multiple mezzanines with various reptiles and birds that you can wander through and enjoy. The large bird exhibit at the end was the most exciting and we spent quite a bit of time touring around that one. There are a few signs in the larger rooms with some information on the birds. My recommendation would be to add some more informative plaques etc. to make the experience a bit more educational and improve the ability to ID some of the many birds you can find. But we all very much enjoyed the experience and being in a free flying bird sanctuary was a great experience.

Google
The Bird Kingdom was such a beautiful experience. We saw birds we didn't even know existed. Nature is fascinating and those birds were so colorful and beautiful. The way they have decorated this aviary was stunning too! Seeing those birds flying around freely was fun and the staff is taking good care of them. I have to say though that if you want to take an option with your entry ticket such as feeding the birds or taking a picture with a bird, the price will be a bit expensive. It cost me around 80$ for my girlfriend and I with the photo with a bird option. But at the end of the day, this is for a good cause. It was worth every penny ! Animal lovers, if you're in Niagara Falls, you need to visit the Bird Kingdom. PS: The parking ain't free.

Out of my weeklong stay at Niagra Falls, this was one of the best stops in my travel. This place offered an up-close encounter with hundreds of birds, some that I've never even heard of. It was wonderful to see the majority of them outside of cages, and each bird was treated with such love and respect that is so inspiring to see. Each worker there knew the birds by name, and you could easily tell they cared deeply for them all. The building itself was 4 story tall aviary with multiple rooms, and massive enclosure with a waterfall. You can easily spend two or more hours here before you even know it. Some sections had other animals including turtles, sugar gliders, and a skunk! I have no clue why others would leave any bad reviews. The place was clean and beautifully maintained, and perfect for families and children. There are restrooms, a gift shop, and a parking lot right at the front entrance. You can pay additional for feedings and pictures, but even with the basic entrance the birds can be found flying all around you. Out of every zoo or bird sanctuary I've ever visited, this was the closest I've ever been to the animals. If we ever come back to this area, this would be my first stop!!

Visited this place in October. The place appears close by from Oakes Garden Theater park but it is a 5 min walk from the major intersection. But it was fun walking under the bridge and seeing the border up close. There is a Presto discount you can get in person and it cost us around 18$ per person. At first we were expecting disappointment as the place was a little cramped and felt claustrophobic. But the shows kept coming. There are three levels, you climb up the levels and watch the exhibits and then you enter the final aviary which was all three floors combined. There were lots, I mean lots of birds and you can experience them close by. If you are a bird photographer, this is your Disneyland! We really enjoyed this place and felt it was a well worth of the money and time. It does feel hot and humid inside (for the birds) so you might get used to the sweating. Have to talk about the bathrooms of the first level, it was like a time travel back to 1950s and using the bathroom. Wonderfully maintained that I had to take a picture of it. Also another gotcha, there are many birds hovering above your heads, so what you think may happen and did happen. Just be cautious what’s above your head :) Would definitely recommend this place for older seniors as there is not much walking or waiting involved. But since the place is tiny, I would not recommend in summer when the crowds are high. May be in winter time or less seasoned weekday would do. Took us about 2 hours to leisurely see this place. Definitely recommend this place.

Google
Visited Bird Kingdom today. It’s a great place for all ages—kids and adults alike. There’s a huge collection of birds with a wide variety of species and colors, and the museum spans multiple floors with plenty to see. The main downside is the pricing structure. Almost everything comes at an extra cost: the admission ticket, feeding the birds, holding a bird, and even getting a printed photo. Paying to hold a bird and then being charged again for a printed photo feels excessive, especially when many people would be fine with their own phone photos. Parking is another frustration—$12 per hour at their lot, while parking across the street is only $3 per hour. Overall, it’s an enjoyable experience, but the add-on fees and parking costs take away from it.

Yelp
A delight! Other than taking the boat ride "into" the falls, this was my favorite thing at the falls. We were in Niagara for two days and ran out of things to do. Bird Kingdom was suggested to us at the pool one evening, and turned out to be an absolute delight. The selection of birds, the deceiving size of the interior, the friendliness of the staff all came together to make an amazing experience. Don't miss this if you're on the Canada-side of Niagara Falls.

Yelp
If you're looking for other attractions in Niagara Falls, this is a memorable one! In addition to the tropical birds flying around freely, there are separate aviaries to visit the tiny birds, and a lorikeet feeding station, where, for an extra fee, photographs may be purchased for souvenirs. I don't usually say this, but I really loved the gift shop: Anglophile linen or cotton tea towels, apparel with bird motifs, stained glass and stationary.

Yelp
I haven't been here since I was a kid, so l decided to revisit but take my fiance there for the first time. It still holds up and is still so much fun! So many amazing birds and other creatures to look at and talk to. The staff there were super friendly and knowledgeable and made our experience there that much better. The $5 to be able to feed the birds was well worth it as you will literally be covered with birds all over your arms and shoulders. We also went at a time where it was super slow, so if you wanna walk through with less of a crowd, the best time to go is on a Sunday at 3:30. Felt very good knowing that everything is very humane and the birds are not always kept in small cages, most of the time they'll be in the main atrium which is unreal to walk through!

Yelp
Great spot to spend an hour or two with kids. I went with my 10-month-old and we had a great time. We walked through in about 45 minutes, but you could easily spend closer to two hours. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
google avatar

Peggy C.

Yelp
My family and I was on a mini getaway at Niagara Falls, we decided to bring the kids to Bird Kingdom as that is one of the popular attractions in the area. We got a deal for the admission fees through groupon. There's quite a bit to see, some interesting birds. The kids enjoyed it and had a great time.

Yelp
This place was really fun! I enjoyed feeding the Lorakeets and walking around the facility. They have a lot of birds that are surrenders or birds who have been injured and rehabilitated here. Most seem in really healthy condition and all the staff was really nice as well. Cute gift shop and even a few cool non aviary animals that were cool to observe. Also a great view of Niagara Falls right across the street!

Yelp
I adore the bird kingdom and it's always a fun visit! From the old Niagara falls museum to their open aviaries we enjoy the experience. The birds are so cool and there are so many! I love that they fly around and just do their thing. The open air sections are fun as the birds fly and there are tropical plants. It's a lovely escape when it's cold outside and get that hint of tropical places. The lorikeet experience is lots of fun and they have a meet a parrot experience now too! Parking is available at cost right outside and it's right off the border crossing near many other attractions. Love the bird kingdom and will absolutely return again!
google avatar

Emma N.

Yelp
This place was so cool, a really unique experience! So many different kinds of birds everywhere! There was also a museum that had interesting history about the Niagara Falls!
google avatar

Maria D.

Yelp
This is a total tourist trap and the prices online are misleading! It is advertised for $15.95 + (feeding and patriot experiences are extra) we choose none of that and we're charged over $21/pp. Ended up going back the next day and getting refunded the difference after the manager agreed. Pricing aside this was a very boring experience. A few exotic birds in the open aviary but really nothing else. Many of the attractions were empty with signs saying under construction. Total waste of money and 30 minutes of our time!
google avatar

Yelp
It is a perfect place for to spend a couple of hours with your kids during chilly winters! Leave your jackets in your car! Well, it is a multi level Aviary , with 1000s of beautiful birds from all of the world. The indoor temperatures are maintained as per their natural habitat and it is mostly moist and warm. There is paid parking outside and near by. I don't think there is anything to eat inside to go in with full tummy! The place is accessible and stroller friendly. They have talking parrots! My toddler went crazy over there. There is also a show every few minutes where you can go inside the cage feed the birds. You are provided with food to feed the birds and a The birds will come and sit on your hands and eat. It is so cute and fun. I would recommend it for a special day for your child

Yelp
We came here with no real expectations other than seeing birds! The initial part of the experience was some museum type exhibits and some reptile/amphibian displays with some caged birds. After the third floor you come out to a large open atrium filled with trees and free flying birds. There was a lot to look at although it's a little old and tired, some falls history, a tired tale of treasure hunting, but the open atrium was by far the best part of this exhibit.

Yelp
First time being in the Bird Kingdom, I knew this was one of the best attractions in Niagara Falls and it is the largest free-flying indoor aviary in the world. When we went inside, we could smell the scent of birds. We didn't have to spend much time lining up. I think it's a pretty cool place and they also showcase the history of the museum, such as how it transformed into the Bird Kingdom. They have a few levels and different kinds of birds. The birds would just walk up to you, and they aren't scared. Maybe they are used to it. One of the birds can also strike a pose and say "Hi" to you. It's pretty interesting and an amazing place to see many birds in one location. Besides birds, they also have other animals like snakes, turtles and more. It's perfect for a family event.
google avatar

Dot K.

Yelp
I brought my family here on a weekday and it wasn't very crowded. We had to pay to park, but had Groupons for reduced entrance fees. We paid extra to feed the Lorikeets, but they only give us a minuscule amount of nectar. We loved all the different birds that we saw and heard. The waterfall and Japanese tea house were very cool as well. I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Sarah W.

Yelp
It's somehow touristy and kitschy but also a nice break from the midway mania of Clifton Falls. There's a small bird room, then a nocturnal area, and then the main large apiary. The birds are real and you can get quite close! Bus stop is right outside, green loop. Easy walk to the falls boat area. Tip! Use coupon code/promo code CAANIAGARA20 for 20% off + and buy tickets online = save quite a bit!

Yelp
This place has a mini museum and it was fun place to be in. My daughter likes seeing different type of birdies. Very kid friendly. I like the setup that you can follow floor by floor. The bird feeding session was fun but be aware they poop. In there you can get your picture taken and buy it in the gift shop.
google avatar

Amberr E.

Yelp
Very informative experience! The bird handler with the purple hair was AWESOME. She answered questions and even got the bird to make his calling noise! She was the friendliest person in the entire place. The ladies at the checkout were a bit sour but I didn't let that effect my time. The birds were so cool and the exhibits we fun and informative. I would highly recommend feed the birds since that was one of the best experiences.
google avatar

Sandip S.

Yelp
We were in two minds about going there, but decided to go in the end. That turned out a great decision as we enjoyed the place quite a bit and it was not over-priced. They have many birds of various types. The birds have plenty of space to fly around and looked very healthy and well-taken care of. The staff were very nice---they made the birds do some unbelievable tasks. The parrot "Star" spoke out his name and sang "When you wish upon a star" and "Twinkle twinkle little star" (if you find this hard to believe, go check it yourself :-). If we visit the area, we will go there again.

Yelp
We visited Bird Kingdom over the weekend and had a nice time. The Customer Service: The customer service was mediocre. One employee was fantastic. This was the employee working with the parrots and who interacts with guests. He was sociable and chatty. On the other hand, the employee working at the front desk, was not helpful at all. After we finished going through the exhibit, we asked her where the washrooms were and where the other customers fed the birds. She said we could not use the washrooms because or go back to feed the birds because we had already exited the exhibit. I found this distasteful and unprofessional. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I truly believe she or another employee should have showed us how to get to the bird feeding area and let us use the washrooms. The Exhibit: When you first enter you go up a flight of stairs to an Egyptian style museum. We didn't know this was included but it was fun to see. Throughout the exhibit, we did find it difficult to know where to go because there were arrows going two different directions at all times instructing people where to go. I don't think it was organized too well. On the next floor, there were birds in cages and some other parrots outside on birches. One of the parrots who was outside is named Star and he is quite the talker. He repeats what staff have said throughout recent days and is fun to engage with. On the top floor there is a bird room with benches for you to sit and admire the birds. Then you walk out of this area and it's almost like a green house with trees, birds and a mini waterfall for you yo walk through. It was a fun experience and I would recommend it more if they could improve the customer service. Would I Go Back? If I was told their customer service was to improve or they were to invite us to do the feeding experience to make up for the missed opportunity, I might go back. Otherwise, I strongly recommend you check out the butterfly conservatory, which was a phenomenal experience.

Yelp
A great place for adults and kids alike! Walk into this thoughtful aviary where abandoned parrot pets can live out their lives, along with some other feathered friends, reptiles, amphibians, and bats. You can spend a couple hours or more here. It's a great warm escape from winter too - walk in and your surrounded by a tropical habitat.
google avatar

Jon H.

Yelp
Maybe expectations were too high considering some of the higher rated reviews I read here but I found it just okay at best; perhaps underwhelming. First you wall through an short old museum exhibit. OK interesting for adults new to Niagara Falls perhaps. The kids will be itching to move on. Then a few smaller rooms of birds, before finally arriving in the large aviary. This room was actually very well done and interesting. Lots of paths so it was never overcrowded. Plenty of interesting birds. The kids enjoyed this area. It's just hard to justify the price for the amount of time you will reasonably spend here. Luckily we got the AAA discount, which helped a bit. Plan to pay $5/hour for parking as well. They recommend 2 hours, but we found we were in and out in about 1 hour.

Yelp
When my husband and I heard about Bird Kingdom when we were planning our trip to Niagara Falls, we immediately put it on our "must see" list: an aviary -- how awesome is that?! And while I enjoyed seeing all the birds, I have to admit, Bird Kingdom didn't meet my expectations. For $18.95 + tax (I am kicking myself for forgetting that I could save $2 per ticket if I ordered online), Bird Kingdom wasn't worth it. Perhaps I am being unfair, as I have been spoiled by the Bloedel Conservatory in Vancouver (which is also nearly a third of the price), but Bird Kingdom was just so-so for me. The interior felt artificial, and I was disappointed that there weren't birds running around everywhere (in the Bloedel Conservatory, you have t be careful not to step on the tiny birdies running across your path). In summary, Bird Kingdom is an alright place, but nothing special. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it. [Yelp collections: Toronto/Niagara Falls 2021; Zoos and Aquariums]

Yelp
I was surprised to see different birds this time. In the small aviary there seemed to be fewer birds. Not sure what happened to them. I hope they are okay. For example I didn't see the grackle in the small aviary. The single owl in its enclosure seemed really small. How can it fly around in there? Poor thing. I still find the washrooms only on second floor strange. It looks like there were washrooms on the ground floor beside the cafe. But with the cafe closed the ground floor washrooms seem to be closed too. The birds in the main aviary were more active this time when we visited. The Silvery Cheeked hornbill was calling out. But it's the only one of its species here. I wonder if it's lonely. The scarlet ibis were the bird that I could see had the most numbers. The great argus pheasant was moving around this time. Last year it stood rock still & didn't move at all when we saw it. The Boat billed heron is still very territorial & chases away any ibis when they come near. I do wish they would expand the spaces for the birds. Despite all this I still like to come here & see the birds. I bought another t-shirt for hubby & though expensive this is the only place I've seen the shirts with animal art on it.

Jean-Marie B.

Yelp
Really cool place with a variety of small species parrots and larger parrots to see. There were turtles frogs and spiders sprinkled in as well. Some birds are seen in large cafes but there are three separate large enclosures to walk through with birds free flying around. Such a cool experience. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This place is not worth your time. It is overpriced and run down and not well kept. Needs a remodel and some help. Don't recommend.
google avatar

Vinay Y.

Yelp
Fun place to spend 2 hours or so. They have a lot of different types of birds and other exotic animals. The open jungle area was very interesting. I liked the parrots that talked to us. Some of the birds in the open areas will fly right up to you so be prepared. It was a nice side trip while seeing other things at Niagara Falls.
google avatar

Brianna S.

Yelp
this place was the highlight of my niagara falls trip! parking is $3 an hour, i choose 2 hours and that's about the amount of time i spent there. the best part is the huge upstairs aviary. birds are flying around everywhere, birds i never seen before or even knew existed. they come close to you and you can get some really good pictures! i highly suggest feeding the lorikeets, it was so much fun! and you get a cool souvenir photo. i really enjoyed seeing all the birds and getting up close to them! if you're an animal lover, this place is for you.

Yelp
Nov 19/2020: This was sadly pathetic in its presentation. The place was virtually empty of patrons & was quit dirty to the eye. I felt more sorry for the birds then anything else. Their beauty was lost while captive in this place.

Yelp
Fun place for adults and children alike. Lots of amazing birds to see. Really enjoyed our visit and would definitely go again. Friendly staff. A+

Yelp
I'm really not sure how to rate Bird Kingdom. There are parts of it that are really amazing. The main aviary is huge and you do get to gaze upon all the different birds in all their splendor. There are signs throughout that get you acquainted with the birds that you might run in to. There is a path set out so you can't really wander off. You can get really close to the birds. Frankly you can get way too close. It would be a straight up lie to say that the birds aren't stressed by this. I saw several people trying to touch the birds (some did successfully) and encouraged their children to chase them. I'm sure this causes the birds a huge amount of distress and I really wish there were more staff on hand to protect the birds because it's not like they can fly away from it since well, they're caged. This was my main gripe about the whole place. On the same level as the main aviary are the lorikeets that you can hold and feed. This is in a separate caged area and there is a handler present who will give you some nectar to hold in a cup and to encourage the clingier birds to part ways with you when you're ready to go. Inevitably you'll get some sort of bird poop on you and they have bathrooms located inside the main aviary which is very convenient. There are a few other rooms. One of them is the small bird aviary. It's a smaller room and these birds are more mobile. These ones are more well protected than the bigger birds that aren't able to nimbly fly away when chased by aggressive children. Another room has some reptiles and birds that you can pose with for pictures (there is a handler present for this). Then there are some parts that are bordering on Ripley's level of tacky. The walk through of the Niagara Museum was just that. I'm really not sure of the targeted audience for this section because for adults it was not that interesting and for children, well, the same. In terms of amenities, there were bathrooms between the rooms in well thought out places. There's a small cafe that seemed to be open after lunch. They have their own parking lot but you need to pay to park. There's also a gift store that you wind up walking through when you exit Bird Kingdom. All in all the birds are really incredible to watch. I just wish they were kept in better conditions.

Yelp
Honestly. Much better than I expected. High quality in a town that generally is light on high quality visitor experiences.

Yelp
A great place to go as an outing as a family or with kids. My daughter zoomed all around here and we fed the lorikeets which was included - hubby got pooped on - also free of charge A really pretty place with lots to see and explore.

Yelp
So beautiful. We had a great time. It was such a pleasant break from the heat outside. The birds were so happy and well cared for.
google avatar

Charissa P.

Yelp
It was our visit yesterday and my kids had a lot of fun. The temperature there was comfortable. Before we went in, we worried that it might be too stuffy for us to walk around with our parkas. 'Lorikeet Encounter' was our favorite favorite and I like how even though there was a line up, the staff didn't hurry us. I would suggest to get there earlier before they got filled by all the other kids with nector. It was so cool to see a lot of beautiful birds up close. We also love the part when the staff was making Macaws to speak and do all kinds of things to us. They're so smart! Highly recommended!

Jennifer H.

Yelp
We LOVED our visit to Bird Kingdom. The talking birds were so funny and feeding the lorikeets was a great experience! Highly recommend.

Yelp
There is a multilevel parking lot you can use (rather cheap rate). Once you get inside, there is a nice gift shop and ticket booth. Head upstairs and you'll find much more than just a bunch of birds. There are several different rooms with different sorts of animal habitats. Night, jungle, temperate, etc. They have some reptiles to keep things interesting as well. But make no mistake, they have a lot of different birds. Blue birds, red birds, yellow birds, green birds, orange birds. Lots of fun and different birds. If you like birds, you've probably already been here but if you have not. It is a great place to discover new animals and take some nice photos.

Yelp
Bird Kingdom is a place I've wanted to experience for almost a decade and for some reason it did in fact take me almost a decade to come here (even though I've lived 20 minutes down the road for the last 3 years). I came here last Sunday and was thrilled that they had a small parking spot with a single spot left for my car. When you first enter Bird Kingdom you walk into a small cafe and a gift shop where you either purchase admission or present the Groupon (which seeks to be the common way of paying these days). Upon entering the actual bird areas, there are 3 stories total with different birds and setups in each floor. The first floor had some little guys flying around in enclosure and featured an area where a bird can sit on you and you could have a picture taken. The second floor featured a lot of small birds flying around and living the best life they could here, all of which were adorable of course. The main area was definitely the biggest and featured a large array of birds from big to smallest and was definitely the most fun area to explore and take pictures of these cute new friends. Towards the end of the walk through there is an area that you can go in and feed some of the little guys. I had two birds on my drinking some water before a small fight broke out, but everything ended peacefully and soon enough they went back to being the bestest of bird friends. Overall, I had a total blast at Bird Kingdom and would definitely recommend the experience to anyone who lives in the area or plan on taking a trip here. You get to interact with a large number of birds and even get to get some photos with some (I must clarify that the pictures taken by the staff do cost $10 per photo at the gift shop if you want it emailed to you or printed lit). In short, this place is fun, go have fun.

Yelp
This is the fourth time in 6 years we've visited this. Really disappointed to find about 2/3 of the different species are no longer here. I asked if the birds died or if the birds were sent to warmer climates for winter. Just got a stumbling answer. Hope it's just a winter thing.

Yelp
My mother and I took my grandfather here while on vacation to see Niagara Falls. We were expecting a small and drab bird exhibit. We were blown away by the childlike and realistic decor. I felt like I was on a real life set of Jumanji. I felt like at any corner I'd be face to fAce with Robin Williams! There were many different types of birds (and creepy crawlies) on display and many times freely roaming around the room I was able to get up close and realistic shots of the birds and get some close encounters with the as they flew right over my head. There was even an interactive exhibit where you could hold a bird and get a photo with it. And some of the birds did tricks like waving and saying hello!!!! I was happily surpriser by bIrd kingdom and will happily return when I visit Niagara Falls again!

Yelp
We took our teenage son here for a quick trip away from college. I saw tickets on living social for a deal and thought hey I like birds. It is a really good place for families and adults. It's right after customs which is nice and their is a lot of parking.. but it's 3.00/hr . Probably that's the going rate in Niagara. They have a gift shop with goodies for everyone and three floors of things to see. They have reptiles, ducks, bats, history on the falls and of course birds! I cannot get over how clean it was and it didn't smell for having birds flying free. (A testament to the staff). It is hot as Hades in there, so if you can not bring a coat I'd say leave it in the car. Our favorite part was going into the lorikeet cage to feed the birds. You can't take photos (they do for you, it's about 10.99 for picture). They give you a small cup of some kind of milk and the birds flock to you. It was so cool to watch them drink and just chill on you. One poor bird didn't get a lot so we tried to give him some and the other birds got mad at him.. we ended up finding a way lol. If I hadn't been wearing a sweater I probably would have sat a chilled in there awhile as there are many nooks for you to enjoy. Must go to if you like birds and something different. I only gave 4 stars as I wish there were some more birds in places and some of the staff were ok in personality, but it was a nice place.

Yelp
The signs say largest aviary in the world???????? Since I love aviary's and aquariums and zoo's. My daughter and I decided to give it a shot. I see a lot of 4 and 5 star reviews from fellow yelpers and I was very disappointed overall. First off I am from Pittsburgh, Pa which has the most amazing aviary I have ever been too in my life. I would say the entire Bird Kingdom could fit in the main room of the Pittsburgh aviary. Bird Kingdom is definitely not the worlds largest aviary, Not by far. I found the aviary to be subpar overall. The big room where most of the birds are is basically the only good room in the building. I would say one of the best things to do was feed the lorikeet birds. It is part of the admission and can be a line. It is worth the wait as it is great when all the birds fly onto you to feed. One thing I did not like was that they did not let you take your own photos in the lorikeet area only the staff took pictures and you could buy them downstairs when leaving. I would not go back again and unfortunately do not recommend this aviary to others. I give it 3 stars but it really deserves 2.

Yelp
Note: purchase groupon, otherwise I would say it is not worth the price. The aviaries were really nice. I enjoyed sitting on the bench in the small aviary, because then you can listen to the birds and watch them as they become calmer than when you're walking around. We went on a hot day, so the main aviary became sauna like. Super hot and humid, and as much as we would've liked to stay longer, we couldn't. I felt bad for the birds that were perched there just to take pictures with people, and I also felt certain displays were unnecessary and unrelated to "bird kingdom".

Yelp
This was the highlight of my trip to Niagara Falls, but I am definitely a bird person, so if you are meh about birds, you will probably feel meh about this place. If you follow the signs, you end up starting at a small history museum with a cute photo op spot. You then move on to a small aviary with budgies, love birds, and doves. From there, you're on to the encounter room, where there are iguanas, tortoises, a bearded dragon, and, the best part, a line of parrots you can hold and have your photo taken with. Most of these birds were given up by their owners when they could no longer be cared for. They do not force the birds to pose for the photos, if a specific bird doesn't want to play, you can pick a different bird. The next floor is the small bird aviary, which is full of small birds like finches that fly free around you. The final floor is the nocturnal animals room, you start with some frogs, then lead into the bats and a skunk. Beyond this, you head into the main aviary, which is the highlight of the place. You walk down gentle ramps, spiraling through the aviary, and getting different looks at birds throughout the space. Halfway through is the javanese tea house, which is pretty, and the lorikeet feeding section, which is very fun. The aviary eventually empties into the gift shop, where you can also buy your photos. If you think you might buy photos, go to the gift shop before you buy your admission tickets to look at the prices to plan what you'll buy. Accessibility: the place is surprisingly accessible, you go right from admission to an elevator that each floor (except the last) circles back to. The main aviary goes down to the main floor on gentle ramps that wouldn't be too difficult to navigate with a wheelchair/walker. A scooter might have some trouble unless it can make tight turns. Highly recommend!

Yelp
It was raining so we wasted some time at bird kingdom and it was definitely worth the while. Many exotic exhibits including bats, reptiles, and even a skunk! There is even a small portion that contains some history about the falls. My boyfriend and I had a great time.

Yelp
My adult daughter and myself went to this bird kingdom and it was lovely had all kinds of wonderful birds that you can interreact with the handler let my daughter hold one of the big parrots and took a picture of her with it and the turtles they let them walk around outside of their enclosure but the best part of bird kingdom was the beautiful green garden up on the third floor with all the free and wild exotic birds flying around and the tea house that was just lovely overlooking the koi fish pond. The man at the entrance who they called cowboy Collins was just a lovely engaging man that was so informative and excited to share all the lovely aspects of bird kingdom this little place is a wonderful treat for the whole family.

Yelp
If this is your thing if imagine you enjoy it haha I did for what it's worth, I'm not a zoo/museum/tour type person but it was really cool you could interact with wildlife.. Or not so wild, wild, wildlife lol. I held a huge Python thingy and lost the pictures of this thing nearly attacking me... Seriously dead locked eyes I thought I was Gnna die when the trainer guys face dropped. Pretty birds, interesting time spent here.

Yelp
Loved this place! So much to see! Yes, it's a little cheesy in the beginning with historical artifacts & photos. Don't let that put you off! The Bird Kingdom has not one, but two awesome aviaries where birds are flying all over freely. There are also other cool animals like snakes, turtles, iguanas and fish. But the birds are the star of the show. The first aviary has small birds that flutter all around. The second aviary has birds of all sizes and colors. Many large birds just walk around casually sharing the walkways with the people. It's a great sight to see! There are opportunities to hold the birds, too. In Lorikeet Landing (in the main aviary) you can have several birds come to you (they'll land on your arms, your hair, etc) and a staff member will take a photo of you (that you can purchase) We really enjoyed our day there. We spent almost 2 hours and loved it. Our family has 3 adults, 1 teen and 1 special-needs 11 year old and we all had a great time. We saw families with kids of all ages. Other things to note: Gift shop is nice. Sure some things are overpriced but we found a couple of toys for under $2 CDN for the kids. Parking is right on site. We went on a Sunday. There are about 24 spaces and parking costs $3/hr (there's a meter and you put your receipt on your dash) There is a lot of walking. It's not grueling but there are 3 levels and lots to see. I'm not sure if it was wheelchair-friendly but if this is a concern, I'd call ahead and ask about accessibility. We paid about $11 USD for each adult ticket using Groupon. I think regular tickets are $17 CDN at the gate and maybe $15 CDN if you order online at their website. It's a good deal, I would say. They serve food there, too. I'm not sure what they serve but I think it was burgers and hot dogs and fries (not 100% certain) and there are places to sit and eat. Bird Kingdom is within walking distance of the Falls. It is open daily. If a Groupon is not available, you can book tickets on their website for cheaper. There are also $1 off coupons in coupon books you can find all around the area (in hotel lobbies, at Table Rock, gift shops, etc)

Yelp
You have a 95% chance of getting pooped or peed on in the aviary! If you're in Niagara Falls and the weather doesn't condone being outside all day, I'd highly recommend a stop at Bird Kingdom. If you like aviaries, it's one of the best I've frequented - large variety of birds and ample opportunity for interaction! The main room is big and bright and (best of all!) doesn't smell. Couple tips: Bird Kingdom has its very own WeGo stop (Green Line) but only the southbound bus will stop there. Also, be sure to pre-purchase your tickets online before you go (you'll save a decent amount of money doing this).

Yelp
Most of the birds are very sad and yearning for freedom. Also they only had one budgie... I was expecting dozens of budgies because they could thrive in that environment. The saddest animals were the owl - the owl enclosure should be criminal... and the toucans looked unhealthy and stressed. I didn't take pictures of the sad birds because it was too depressing.

Yelp
This is a great place for kids and adults! My husband and I love to go to zoos and observe animals. When we found out about this place, we were intent on going. Parking is right next door in the garage on River Road. The rate is about $2.00 per hour. It's not too bad of a price for the time needed at the aviary. A word of warning - The meter does take American quarters, but no other American coins and not American credit cards so be prepared! We really enjoyed strolling through the exhibits. The experience room is quite fun. There are a number of birds that talk and you can take your picture holding one of them. At an additional cost of course. We simply enjoyed walking and talking to the birds. All of the animals seem well cared for and are active. There is also an assortment of reptiles and mammals as well. The bats in the nocturnal room are fascinating. Walking through this old building, I was not prepared to walk out into the main aviary. The room is stunning; sunny and bright. The birds are out and about - and while they aren't tame - some of them are pretty bold! The path through this section is well designed and you don't miss out on any part of the room. There's a tea house inside, and when you're finished the gift shop is quite cute. Check your hotel for coupons or go online and print one out. $2.00 if not bad, and you can use one per person in your group.
