Sadly, I must part ways with Bird Paradise after having a good run of 7 years in purchasing my bird supplies/needs from them.
I know that employees come and go, but quality and customer service mean a lot to me, especially when or where I will be spending my hard earned money.
I had called to inquire as to whether there was any food available for the type of bird that I have, as my last trip there they did not have any (it was on back order), so I had to purchase a substitute that was suffice for my bird at that time.
I live 40 minutes away where the type of food for my bird isn't available, so I buy in bulk when I do go to Bird Paradise and just spread out the number of trips I need to make so I'm not going back and forth too often.
However, I called to find out if the food was available before I made my trip and was placed on hold by Cassandra and left there for 15 mins.
I hang up, called back and asked to speak to a manager and was told by Cassandra, that, that was her that left me on hold and apologized saying she got busy and the food was available and than she proceeded to say that I 'yelled' at her which I believe was because I asked to speak to a manager. Then she attempted to argue with me on the phone and said she 'was' the manager and I yelled at her and she hung up on me.
I called again and said 'I never 'yelled at you, I only said no one has ever left me on hold that long' and then she starts accusing me of yelling at her again, so I hung up. All I wanted to know is if the type of bird food I needed was available before I took the long ride and not to be falsely accused by an immature employee of something that I was not setting out to do. Cassandra was very rude.
After having a smooth, problem free relationship with them for 7 years, Bird Paradise will have to never worry about me doing business with them again and I will share this experience with my fellow bird owners. I will now resort to just having my birds food shipped from another company. and now I don't have to worry about driving there again. I called myself trying to support a small business, knowing that there were other sources available to feed my bird, but if this is who Bird Paradise has running their business now thanks, but not thanks!
