My wife and I had a horrendous experience at Birds & Bees Resort in Pattaya. We have travelled to over 5 countries in the last 4 months and stayed at over 10 hotels, and this was by far the worst of them.
When we checked in, upon realising that our room was darkly lit due to the lack of natural sunlight and poor electrical lighting, we requested to see if there was another room. They said the only option was to go for a deluxe upgrade. Upon requesting the details of the deluxe option, they tried to take advantage of us by quoting a price that was 50% above what was available on booking.com When we pointed out the price disparity, they reduce the rate.

Then in the evening, we realised that the room did not have functioning hot water and sufficient water pressure. When we called for assistance, they did not respond for nearly an hour. Then they asked us to move to another room at 3 in the morning since they did not have maintenance staff.
Having undergone these terrible experiences, we asked for a refund for at least one of our two nights since we have not even stayed a full one night. They refused.
We checked out immediately, took the cost hit and checked in at another hotel nearby which was significantly better.
The horrible experience does not end there. At the very end, the receptionist at Birds & Bees tried to charge us a fee for "misplacing" the room card but soon realised that he himself has taken it and put it in his drawer.
I urge viewers to avoid this hotel at all costs. There are better options in Pattaya.
