This place is spotless clean! Staff is very kind and it is amazing value. I read some reviews mentioning the area but should be noted that it is a very interesting place where the remains of industrial heritage blend with very cool bars, urban art etc. it feels a bit deserted at night and you will have to go under a few bridges to get there, if that scares you take a Taxi, during the day the area is really interesting, loads of niche stores like the Red Brick Market, art schools, bars and restaurants. It is about 20 minutes walk from New St, Moor St train stations and the coach station. Very close to all the main streets and the city centre. Coffee/Tea are free and available 24h, free basic(toast, fruit, coffee/tea) breakfast, also a fully equipped kitchen. Will definitely come back to this place.

Fifteen minute walk from Birmingham New Street - incredibly convenient location. Staff were all friendly and I was able to do a load of laundry for 8 pounds. Bathrooms were tidy, and showers had lots of hot water. I was in a six bed female only room and everyone was polite. Kitchen was very big and easy to cook in. Mattresses were a bit thin and hard but the curtains made for a cosy little space. It was situated down the street from a pub and the home team was playing so there was some noise as the drunk people came in for the night. However staff said they would be available all night to tell them to quiet down. All in all quite a good hostel and the perks quite outweigh the negatives. On a quiet street so you don’t have issues with noise from the road. Would visit again!

Great hostel. The staff was super helpful and accomodating during my stay. The rooms, kitchen, bathroom and social area were always kept clean, and there's a high level of privacy with the bed/pods (curtains are thermal so it's nice and warm, and you get a good night's sleep). There's a complimentary breakfast every morning, along with free tea and coffee available 24 hours. Birmingham New Street is only 10 minutes away walking. I highly recommend this hostel for anyone seeking a safe, clean, and welcoming experience in Birmingham.

Great place to stay especially if you had mobility issues. No steps, everything you could need is on the ground floor, free coffee and tea and breakfast, clean and with great staff. Nice kitchen, bring your own food to cook.

I stayed here for 1 night as a quick emergency sleep. As I had to be in Birmingham City centre early the next day. Checked in around 6pm. Checking was easy. Was a bit overwhelmed at first sharing a dorm with complete strangers. But I spoke to a few people. All nice people & the rooms is pay what you get for. But the beds are really comfortable. There's loads of dorms. I was in a mixed 15 bed doom. I paid just under 20 quid. If you want a cheap expeince and something to do I recommmed you stay here for a few days. 1 day isn't enough time to get to know the place. I defo will be staying again in due course for a few days. It's about 20 minute walk from New Street Station or via uber around 10 minutes.||Ricki stayed 19/11/2024

Hostel is located in a somewhat scruffy area very close to Digbeth coach station. However it is modern and welcoming with friendly staff. All guest facilities are of a good standard. What let's it down is the non stop pop music played in the lounge/dining area at an intrusive volume. It makes reading or casual chat very difficult.

Very welcoming staff. I was immediately able to feel comfortable with my decision to stay here. Spartan, but they have captured the essentials in a hostel experience. While the beds were basic, I was able to draw my curtain and read after a long day of sightseeing. The kitchen was impeccably equipped and the simple fare provided at breakfast was just right: toast (whole wheat or white?), margarine, and marmalade x 3! Peanut butter, crunchy or smooth! Sure, the instant coffee was, well, instant, but it is Blighty after all. :) I was sad to leave.

A good place to stay if you are late arriving in Birmingham as it's 24hr check-in. Staff were excellent. Rooms clean but basic but ideal for those on a budget. Some of the decor needs attention as the wallpaper in my room was a bit shabby and peeling. But overall a good place to stay with a help-yourself breakfast included.
