Excellent food and a local atmosphere. Authentic soft tacos at a good price. Indoor seating. After getting off our cruise and trying other tacos this place is the best we had in town and they did not try to rip us off or add extra charges to our bill so it is highly recommended.

Google
Off the Main Street by about. 1/2 block- 100% worth it- no one bothering you while you eat. The food is fantastic- authentic and full of flavor- I love heat and they actually gave me HOT salsa- holy cow it’s delicious!!! Our server was prompt? Attentive and checked in on us after we got our food- honestly 👌.

Google
Omg....this place is sooooo good! A local business suggested it when we asked for good places to eat. We were thoroughly impressed! The food is excellent! Service was fast and friendly!

Anthony Howard

Google
Great local food. Tacos were wonderful. Pricing was spot on. Good service. I highly recommend this location in Ensenda, as the tourist places (ex. Papas and Beer) charge more than U.S. city prices by far, when the food quality is very poor and drinks are worse. Birrieria La Guadalajara TACO'S were Great!

Google
We stopped here on a cruise. It was a short 12 minute walk and we felt very safe. The staff was great along with the margaritas and the pork and birria bar tacos. Great if you are looking for a quick stop to outstanding food

Google
If you like birria, this is the place to go. Easy walk from the port. Good eats and inexpensive. Had birria and asada tacos with and without cheese. Guacamole was good too.

JP Ruiz

Google
First off the food was really good, reasonably priced for a tourist city. We had a party of 12 and they were able to get us seated in 20 minutes. The food was traditional Jalisco cuisine. The birria was tasty, the tacos tasty, the arrachera tasty... tasty was the theme.

Christopher Gorrie

Google
Some of the best birria I’ve ever had. The carne and goat birria were both delicious. The tortillas were great, too. Not overly lard-laden, but unhealthy enough to be quite tasty! I really enjoyed everything so much, especially the spicy salsa, which was legitimately quite hot (and I love spicy food). The goat birria was so, so tender—it was almost melting into the broth. If you’re looking for birria in Ensenada, I highly recommend this spot.

Yelp
Birrieria La Guadalajara, situated in Ensenada, Mexico, is renowned for its authentic Mexican cuisine, particularly its birria--a traditional meat stew. The restaurant offers a variety of birria options, including beef, goat, lamb, and pork, catering to diverse palates. Its central location and ample parking make it a convenient choice for both locals and visitors. During my recent visit, I ordered tacos à la carte. The service was impressively speedy, and the food was satisfying--no complaints here. The establishment was clean, and the presentation of the dishes was appealing. I regret not capturing a photo of my plate before diving in; unfortunately, I only have a picture of the condiments that were provided. The salsa and chips stood out as particularly delicious. Overall, Birrieria La Guadalajara delivers a commendable dining experience with its prompt service, appetizing food, and inviting atmosphere. I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu offerings.

Yelp
We found a new authentic place to eat lunch in Ensenada. Ten of us decided to have tacos for lunch. I loved all the condiments they gave you. And the tortilla chips are light and crispy. Salsa was a little different but pretty tasty. I ordered a lengua taco. It was tender and delicious. For condiments, they had onions and radishes, cilantro and limes. We also got several bowls of gaucamole - it was was creamy and light - really really good. I added all those condiments to my lengua taco - it was delicious! Most of us ordered tacos but someone ordered a make your own tacos with 3 different kinds of meat. That would be a better and more economical way to order. All in all, we'll be back when we cruise to Ensenada again. I also liked how all the locals were there eating.

Yelp
We love, love, love the restaurant. We come here every time we are in Ensenada. Anything you'll order on the menu is delicious. If I were you I'd order the goat birria. But, everything is also good. The food is fresh, the service is friendly. The food arrives very quickly. You can't go wrong here. We usually sit inside, but we had to leave town and ordered to go last time we were there. The restaurant is a half a block off of the main strip in Ensenada. The inside of the restaurant is big and cozy. You'll sit at a large wooden table to enjoy your feast. The first few times we went here we each ordered our own meal. Now when we go, we will order one meal and add a guacamole or another appetizer. The servings are huge. I'll be back in February and can't wait.

Yelp
This authentic Mexican spot is recommended by all the locals in the area. It's great that it's just far away enough from all the port ships that prevent too many tourists from coming through. The staff only speaks Spanish and the kitchen pumps out traditional, harina dough as the soft tacos that accompany all the different Birrias. The soups are so bloody flavorful and I was fortunate enough to try both the goat and beef Birrias. The salsas are served with maiz chips (that have a different taste to them) & are super spicy to the average person but were delicious for me! The horchata tasted authentic as well and was perfectly portioned out in terms of flavor between the milk and cinnamon. My only con was that the prices were a bit off when the bill came regarding the guacamole. It wasn't that big of a difference but still not a good surprise. Despite this, I would come back during my next trip to Ensenada.

Yelp
Took my bf here for the first time and he loved it! I always get the Birria de res and it never disappoints! My bf opted for the cabeza he liked but but enjoyed my Birria better

Yelp
While walking around looking for food we found this place and saw great online reviews. We were promptly seated. We ordered food and reorder more of the ones we liked. Carne asada tacos: 5/5 meat was very tasty. Comes with guacamole and beans. Ordered a ton of these. Tripa: 4/5 good Lengua: 4/5 good Arrachera: I preferred the regular tacos but our friends enjoyed these. Quesataco: 4/5 good but Birria in Cabo was better. Great attentive service. Huge restaurant, plenty of seating.

Yelp
Don't let the outside fool you! Right when you walk in you're met with a very friendly staff and warm environment. Shared a small order of birria and tacos with two people and it filled us up! Probably the best birria I've ever had. The meat was tender and the broth was so flavorful and every order comes with chips and salsa, onions and cilantro, lime and radish. 100% recommend!! It's located across a currency exchange place which was very convenient. They also accept visa!

Yelp
Yelp didnt disappoint - it's a great find! It's about 15 mins from Royal Caribbean port. You'll be walking thru all the touristy shops, so it's a busy and pleasant strolled. We got there around 11am on a Sunday morning. There are about 6 parties ahead of us. We took a peek inside, you see all Spanish speaking folks. That's a great sign!! We have waited for about 10 mins and our table is ready. It has a local vibes and it's bussing. We ordered a bunch of different items and a few drinks. Everyone enjoys their lunch and I too agree the serving size is pretty big. I got the carne asada which I could share half of the portion with my family. DS couldn't finish his beef birria as it's too big. I had a few spoonfuls and it's absolutely delicious. I think we would all enjoy this lunch a lot more if there is AC. Today isn't hot at all, but it does get warm once we sat inside for a while. I can't imagine having lunch here is it is a warm day. It would be too uncomfortable to enjoy a meal.

Yelp
*Edit* Ok, had to update the is from a 1 star to 4. Service can use improvement, but the food made up for it! The birria de res and borrego were bomb, the carne asada is good but def go for the arrachera! and the cafe de olla was just perfect. We'll go back and find a way to ask the waiter/waitress to stay long enough for us to ask for what we need without them rushing away lol food was so good that we got an order to go even tho we were STUFFED! We were bummed they ran out of tortillas - we even considered waiting but didn't want to risk the lines at San Ysidro getting longer... but we considered it!

Yelp
Stopped here while docked for a cruise because of the great reviews and I was blown away. Ordered beef birria, 2 soft(not fried) and 2 crispy(fried in the consume). They bring out an assortment of salsas and toppings. Along with the tacos we got a side of beans, we were surprised they do not offer rice. The service is friendly and the prices are very reasonable.

Yelp
Great service and even better food. I did a little research on Yelp before going to Ensenada just to make sure we stop at the best places and this place did not disappoint. Our server was so friendly and the food came out very quick. There's a reason this place was number one on Yelp. I had a taco de cabeza and it was the best and most flavorful taco I've ever had. Everyone else also enjoyed their tacos (carne asada tacos and birria de res). I hope to go back soon. I'll definitely be sure to stop by again.

Yelp
The goat taco was unique and a definite item to try. The nacho was fresh and excellent with the salsa

Yelp
We were in Ensenada for the day because it was a cruise ship stop. We've been there a few times while on cruises and wanted to try something new. I've never had birria and I rarely eat meat. The restaurant was an easy walk from the pier and maybe took us 10 minutes. We didn't really know what we were ordering so we got goat, pork, and chicken. Honestly, it pretty much all tasted the same to me but it was all delicious. I loved all the little dishes of toppings. There was so much food! I'll go back anytime we're in Ensenada.

Yelp
Come here for some delicious birria!! The atmosphere is so homey and the service is great. I had lamb and goat tacos and I enjoyed it so much. You can get an option for corn or flour tortilla, get the corn tortilla. Since they are a birria place you will definitely want birria. They serve chips and salsa when you sit which is nice after walking around town. Get the quesataco for that extra goodness too.

Yelp
Excellent service and ambiance. Excellent food. We went to Ensenada on a stop from our cruise. I wanted a good Mexican breakfast and this came up on yelp. We had lamb birria, beef birria and goat birria. Everyone loved their food and we had a trio singing at our table. Wonderful experience.

Yelp
They accept cards, so it was convincing enough to come here on our way back to the ship. The restaurant is huge, you can see locals enjoying their meals there. The only thing I did not like was that there appears to be no ventilation or air conditioning, so it got hot quick. Not the typical menu. We wanted birria. Specifically, lamb. I was a little surprised they do not offer rice on the menu and you can forget about opting for a burrito because they do not offer it here. We each ordered a plate of the quesataco. Each order comes w/ 3. It's different than what we were used to. The birria itself was so good, tender, and flavorful but the tortillas weren't pan-fried w/ the consume as it is done here in the Bay Area. It was a pretty flat meal, but I doctored mine up w/ guacamole, onions, cilantro, and salsa. Gavin didn't seem to be enjoy it all that much, but we don't waste food, so we finished everything before we asked for the bill. Service was friendly, but if you do not speak Spanish then you might have trouble understanding. I had questions about the menu but quickly stopped my tracks when I realized we could not comprehend each other which is ok. It's just a meal, so as long as we were able to eat to satiate our appetite, everything was all good!

Yelp
While on a cruise to Ensenada, my husband and I wanted to try a new restaurant for lunch. We were walking past Birrieria La Guadalajara and decided to stop in. So glad we did! My husband ordered three tacos (pork birria, beef birria, and carne asada). I ordered a carne asada taco and a flour quesadilla. I love guacamole with my tacos, so I ordered a side of guacamole. Little did I know that they served guacamole and beans with the tacos. I also got a small bowl of pinto beans with my quesadilla. So, we had more guacamole than we could eat. It pained me to leave some on the table, as it was delicious. Everything was great. Our favorite was the beef birria. Our server was Hector, and he provided excellent service. I highly recommend this restaurant the next time you are in Ensenada!

Yelp
Another great find because of Yelp. Five stars is totally correct for here. If you're in Ensenada, especially on a cruise ship, go here! It's only within walking distance of the ship and just one block from the shopping strip. The food was outstanding, and they have people who can speak enough English to get your order and pay. I can't say anything bad about the place. The food and service were great. Super tasty. We'll be back anytime we're in town.

Yelp
Fast friendly service great birria, came asada , margaritas, tortillas, and salsa. Chairs not padded is only downside

Yelp
OMG! I found this restaurant in Yelp and we went and tried it out! This was one of the BEST Mexican meals I have ever had. My wife had the Lamb Tacos and I had the Beef Tacos. The tortillas they come on are hand made in the open kitchen and are just fantastic. They include numerous sides to put on your4 tacos including onions, salsa, and cilantro. We also added two sides of beans, which were great too! The Cadillac Margaritas were to die for. The entire meal was under $40.00 with tip! Service is also top-notch. Highly recommend Birrieria La Guadalajara if your cruise ship stops here or if you are visiting the area!

Yelp
The second stop in our taco journey in Ensenada was this birria spot. It was only a short walk off of the main strip in Ensenada near the port terminal but we saw mostly locals here. We only waited about five minutes before being seated for a party of six. We started off the meal with chips and a couple of salsas. The chips were very light and were basically chicharrón in chip form. The red salsa that came with it was super spicy and I dared not try it again after one chip. They have a variety of meat on their menu: beef, pork, lamb, and goat. You can order them in different ways such as in a stew, a la plancha (pan fried), or in a taco. We ordered the pork, lamb, and goat in a stew and got the beef a la plancha. They gave us freshly-made tortillas and the meat and we built our own tacos with the provided onions, cilantro, lime, and salsas. The stew provided an extra level of flavor for the meat which was tender. Out of the meats my favorite was the beef a la plancha (gotta love that Maillard reaction). I also got the quesotaco which was good and cheesy. The tortillas were the best I've ever had! I still dream about the corn tortillas to this day. There was a mariachi band that went around playing for tables which added to the experience. Altogether everything we ordered plus cokes and tip totaled about $75-80 USD. The good thing was they also took credit card in case you didn't have Mexican currency. One little tidbit: when we asked for more tortillas, the lady making them in the kitchen literally took them off the flattop, placed them in the empty basket, and our server brought them to our table. This whole thing took 10 seconds and I watched it all happen in real time with my own eyes. That is as fresh as it gets. Taco 'bout taco heaven.

Yelp
Improvement Opportunities: Menu was a bit confusing. The birria was good, but did not meet my expectations for a Birrieria. I tend to get birria of that quality or better in the US. Price was also a bit higher than I would have expected. The Good: Friendly staff. Interesting "masa chips" that were definitely lighter and airier than traditional tortilla chips. Salas's had great heat. Masa and tortillas seem to be made in house. A lot of different types of meat.

Joshua L.

Yelp
Food was excellent, service was great, price was good. It's not far off the main drag for any of the cruise ship passengers that want some good Mexican food
google avatar

Candace C.

Yelp
As soon as you walk in you know it's going to be good! The food was delicious! We tried soft tacos with Burria of each flavor on the menu...the lamb & goat were my favorite. The wait staff was friendly and attentive throughout. We loved it and will definitely return when back in Ensenada.
google avatar

Dustin B.

Yelp
Yes it's touristy but it is also real with a mix of cruise ship passengers and vacationing Mexicans as customers, as far as I can tell. You can choose a variety of birria (beef, pork, lamb, goat, etc) so my rec is to order queso tacos for each meat you want to try. You don't need the whole set up. You will save money too. There are two locations and the larger location has fewer tourists so if you are driving go to the one that is not by the cruise terminal.
google avatar

Juan M.

Yelp
Food was great , everything looked fresh made Birria de res was definitely worth . Just got a small plate to share and was enough for two

Amber S.

Yelp
This was delicious. Everything we ate was very good. We ordered Carne es si jugo, menudo and pozole. Yumm!!! My favorite was their pozole. Will definitely be going again. Also their customer service was top notch

Alan C.

Yelp
A little out of the way frim the tourist strip, a total local fav. Great tasting food, delicious consume. Salsa, sauces, onions, raddishes, down to the lime wedges are very fresh. Great service, reasonable price. Must try.

Barbie R.

Yelp
Food was delicious and authentic. We were treated with respect and kindness, being a visitor from the cruise ship. The place was clean. The bathrooms were decent and clean. I recommend this place for any cruise line passenger searching for an Authentic Mexican restaurant.

Yelp
Beef and lamb Birria tacos were super flavorful. Service was on point and the beer was super cold. Can't go wrong with birria tacos and cold beer! Definitely recommended.

Yelp
Fantastic authentic Norris restaurant with amazing food. Mostly Mexican nationals and very few tourists. Very busy on Sundays following Mass.

Yelp
Even with the marvelous, fresh seafood everywhere in Ensenada, this joint became our favorite lunch spot. We visited here twice, on back-to-back days. If you love Birrieria tacos, this place has amazing ones. Upon entering on Sunday, January 1, 2023, we saw all the locals sitting here and had to wait for a table. A mariachi band cruised from table to table playing songs for patrons who paid them. At the bar, the bartenders looked super busy pouring shots of Tequila and crafting Margaritas. A bunch of ladies in the back made fresh tortillas and put together the scrumptious meals. We ordered three quesatacos: pork (puerco, 55 pesos/$2.91), goat (chivo, 63 pesos/$3.33) and lamb (borrego, 63 pesos/$3.33), which are a corn tortilla quesadilla stuffed with meat. The quesatacos come with guacamole and refried beans on the side, the tacos do not have these on the side. We also ordered a Cadillac Margarita, (176 pesos/$9.32), a Tom Collins (81 pesos/$4.29), mineral water (26 pesos/$1.38), a taco de arrachera (62 pesos/$3.28) and a taco de asada (41 pesos/$2.17). The waitress had our food out within five minutes despite being packed. My wife said her Cadillac Margarita had lots of alcohol, but my Tom Collins tasted a bit watered down. The two beef tacos I ordered were a bit dry, but the quesatacos were melty good. Our favorite quesatacos were the lamb and pork. We ordered two more of these. They bring out chips and salsa to start you out (pretty sure these were super fresh). With the main meal, they bring out a bowl of hot sauce, a plate of diced onions, cilantro, halved limes, and radishes. First time we visited; we paid a total of 705 peso/$37.11 for a ton of great, fresh food. The second time we visited here, 1/2/2023, we ordered: Coke (34 pesos/$1.80), limonada (31 pesos/$1.64), Cadillac Margarita (176 pesos/$9.32), Orden de borrego a la plancha, a bowl of lamb meat and about six corn tortillas (233 pesos/$12.33), and 2 quesatacos de puerco (110 pesos/$5.82). Any meat, a la plancha, is the way to go. They will bring you out a steaming cup of the Birrieria sauce to spoon onto your tacos. Of course, on the side they still bring out chips and salsa, cilantro, diced onions, whole radishes, limes, red hot sauce, and baked beans. We paid a total of $35.74 on our second visit and waddled out the front door. If we visit Ensenada again, we are definitely coming here, everyone was in a great mood and all the food was super fresh. When we come back, we'll be sure to order the "Orden A La Plancha".
google avatar

Yelp
By far the best authentic Mexican Birria we have had. We indulged in the lamb and cabeza birria, accompanied by a lengua taco, and I must say, the lamb birria was our favorite. We opted for the a la plancha style, which I highly recommend for its delightful preparation. The birria was served with a side of whole beans or refried beans and the best part was the abundance of freshly made tortillas! Which our attentive server ensured were replenished regularly!
google avatar

Yelp
Best Birria I have had so far. The pork and the beef were super tender and the Birria consome was really flavorful. Food came out fast and was amazing

Yelp
The dude and I did a quick Yelp search for breakfast as we arrived to our port from the cruise early. Yelp brought us to this place and I am so happy it did! It was about a 10 to 15 minute walk from port to this location. Upon arrival we were greeted. The dude and I Spanish is "alright" we can get by and if needed a little more with Google translate. The owner I believe was absolutely phenomenal and patient with us. I believe the menu was in Spanish which I am a really good reader in Spanish and writing in Spanish but difficulty speaking it as it takes time for me to process. Anywho, there was no breakfast items and they don't serve Margaritas before 10 AM just an FYI if you want to get your day drinking on xD With my health digestive issues I really don't eat that much. But we were brought over a abundance of delicious chips and salsa and a display of toppings. The chips were like Chicharoni like very flavorful and thick, rich with flavor in every bite. The salsa was spicy but tolerable. We got the Limon Lemonade which was fire!!! It was so tasty and good. Like 100% fresh not the artificial stuff the USA uses. Everything was FRESH and not processed so my taste buds were crying with joy. We ordered our food. I got the pork quesa taco and the dude got the asada quesa tacos. The pork Quesa taco was so flavorful and delicious. It was hands down the BEST quesa taco I had in my life !!! It was fresh , not greasy and delicious. I wish we had places like this in the USA. The dude said his asada quesa tacos were very good like the best he has ever had which tells you a lot about this place. The beans and guacamole was mouth watering delicious and I don't like guacamole at all. We felt welcomed, enjoyed the music and the atmosphere. Also our whole meal with drinks was only $12. Very cheap. We made sure to tip them well. As it was probably the most fresh and non processed food I had in my life! Please give them a try you won't be disappointed at all!!! We cannot wait to come back JUST for the food. We highly recommend this place. Most authentic Mexican food I ever had!!

Jacen Z.

Yelp
Great food, if you're stopped by a cruise, the food will not disappoint. Get some tacos and the beans so delicious, handmade tortillas and best of all the price is cheap!
google avatar

Suzanne K.

Yelp
Great, fast service. Amazing food. Brush up on your Spanish if you can, even though it was near the cruise terminal, the servers weren't fluent in English. We ordered: * small plate of Goat Birria * small plate of Lamb Birria * beef quesatacos * carne asada quesatacos * lengua taco * flan * Jamaica & Tamarindo sodas * limonada Though the line was long outside, the wait was short b/c they serve the food so quickly. We were in and out in 45 mins tops. The food wasn't pretty, but it was so flavorful. Our favorite dish was the goat Birria to our surprise, not gamey, cooked to perfection. Everything was tasty, including the frijoles. And for all the food we got, it was reasonably priced.

Yelp
Love Ramona she's the best. I have never walked into a restaurant without asking for something, everything was already there without asking salsa all the right condiments just perfect and the food great

Yelp
This is an excellent find in central Ensenada. Birria is very popular right now, and this restaurant is delicious, with incredibly great service, and with every variety of meat you can think of. Servers bring out cilantro, limes, chopped onion and radish, as well as house made salsa and chips. It's a very clean and spacious interior, with a clean restroom and plenty of seating. They have an open kitchen, so where you sit you may have a view of the chefs preparing your order. The birria tacos (I chose the goat version) were not served with consomme, which some places include. But they were delicious, especially with the salsa and fixings. There seemed to be a lot of locals here, which is always a great sign. Service was wonderful, and the server was helpful and prompt. I'd recommend visiting this location for sure.
google avatar

Samuel P.

Yelp
Food and service was top notch. The local's recommend this spot as it's not a tourist trap go and order confidentially the lamb birria was our favorite. Go with a la plancha for a good seared meat serving.

Yasha L.

Yelp
The best thing about Ensenada! Downtown Ensenada is extremely touristy so it was nice to find this hidden gem. Menu is completely in Spanish and staff does not (or at least not to us) speak English. They are known for their tacos de birria and you can order them in lots of different proteins. They also have quesadillas (small- order a few if eating as a meal) and a few other things. Pretty sure we were the only non-locals in the restaurant which is always a good sign. Extremely authentic and delicious!
google avatar

Maria G.

Yelp
Always a must have when passing through Ensenada amazing service there is someone always watching and waiting to bring you more tortillas. Birria a la plancha 10/10 the ambience is great! Feels like home sometimes! Not loud not quiet but busy!
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
This joint was within walking distance from our hotel, and my bride made the right choice! Plenty of options and friendly staff to help us gringos navigate the menu. Settled on a pork, asada, and a tongue taco. Pork was flavorful but had a bit too much fat, asada was a bit tough, but the tongue was the best of both worlds. Frijoles and guac rounded out the evening.. the salsa trio was fab, though look out for the orange one, fiery!

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Close walking distance from the port. They had live music and the tacos were amazing. You can tell a lot by the chips and salsa they serve of how the food is going to taste and it did not disappoint. I ordered the quesataco de birria and a carne asada taco and it was amazing! The waiter was attentive and sweet. Definitely recommended and can see why it has 5 stars!

Yelp
My two cents this is hands down Best Birria in Ensenada Estilo Jalisco, and they serve it up in Birria de Chivo/Goat, Puerco/Pig, Res/Beef and Borrego/Lamb. They've moved to a larger location (photos) and have parking. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/birrierias-la-guadalajara-ensenada?select=IzDyczwigbeL7xIHVX-Qfw https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/birrierias-la-guadalajara-ensenada?select=yt8fZdUW0DdFUkbTpeCk6Q Menu https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/birrierias-la-guadalajara-ensenada?select=Ub-VgIzN0KKRtKc3ckt4gQ https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/birrierias-la-guadalajara-ensenada?select=Br8oq0qt0NV0EixlMxY1xQ Condiments https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/birrierias-la-guadalajara-ensenada?select=lg6FAiTTNcyise6m16yr2Q Birria de Res/Beef ($188) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/birrierias-la-guadalajara-ensenada?select=WRbr9knNTAaaBDhAYwNPXA Great Consommé, clean and very flavorful, plenty of Meat. 5-Stars Birria de Chivo/Goat ($195) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/birrierias-la-guadalajara-ensenada?select=wWRJKgk0OBk2FN9W6YTXQA Same as above but different meat, both fantastic https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/birrierias-la-guadalajara-ensenada?select=M1YJk4-VDt5nNMhRYRh-PA IF I had to choose, I'd get the Chivo. 5-Stars Frijoles - https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/birrierias-la-guadalajara-ensenada?select=_WZzvqscBwaDmvSX3cxBVw Tortillas de Maiz, House Made - https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/birrierias-la-guadalajara-ensenada?select=vfTkbmqokUpeTQ_aqmqpZg

Yelp
Great food and prices at this restaurant. The service was also quick and friendly. The ambiance was casual. We enjoyed the different meats and salsa, especially the extra spicy salsa.

Yelp
The food in this restaurant was tasty. I had 4 tacos and each of them had different kind of meat (beef, goat, lamb and carne asada). Would've for sure had more but 10 mins before finding out about this restaurant I had 4 tacos from a different restaurant. Each of the tacos had their own distinct flavors and topping them off with onions, cilantro and lime made it better. The regular birria was also amazing! The meat were very tender and succulent which I love and made me want to eat more even though it was about 87 degrees outside. The place felt homey with an open kitchen where you could see the cooks freshly making the tortillas. The building looked a little worn down but seems like that there's a lot of history. Staffs there felt like they're family and all of them were related to each other which made us felt comfortable. Even though our server didn't speak English, we understood each other and was very helpful.

Yelp
My oh my, this is truly a hidden gem. My husband and I read the amazing reviews from our cruise ship and decided we would embark on the adventure of making our way here. We took a bus to town and walked fifteen minutes (speed walk) here. We got to the restaurant and were seated immediately. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. She took our drink order immediately and filled our table with the birria toppings along with chips and salsa. My husband ordered the goat Birria small plate and a quesataco. I order the original plate of beef birria. The first bite was truly orgasmic. The fresh tortillas kept coming and man I could've gone for another plate if I hadn't had like eight tortillas. I would highly recommend it, you will not regret it. Best birria I've ever had!
