Bis Bas Mediterranean Grill

One of the best bowls I've ever had! Super flavorful and mouthwatering! The pita was soft and fluffy, the falafel was made to order and we especially loved the jalapeno salsa! Definitely recommend!!!

The custom made dish was awesome. The taste was amazing. Extremely authentic. The music brought me right into the region from which this cuisine originated from.

A good option for affordable Mediterranean shawarma, sandwiches, bowls, and more. Two of us shared a chicken pita sandwich and an order of fries. Portions are generous. Everything tasted fresh and good - a good deal for the price. Although it’s nothing to write home about, it is still a solid option to grab a sandwich while out and about. Their mint lemonade is excellent - not overly sweet and strong mint flavor. I recommend it on a hot day. The space is basic - offering plastic ware and simple tables. Outdoor seating available. The fries were great too. Their dipping sauce is quite nice.

The purpose of this review is not to hate or harm this restaurant in any way, shape, or form. That being said, I hope you take this review as an informative review. Atmosphere: A fast casual restaurant where you can go get a quick bite for yourself or a meal with a group of friends. It is quite clean for the most part. Their music is actually appealing. There's enough space to move around. There is a decent number of tables inside and a couple of tables out. However, there is a table that's unstable so I had to move to another one. Service: They know what they're doing. They quickly take your order in the best possible friendly and professional way. Take your order and enjoy it. Food: Even though it was my first time there, they surely left a good first impression. It's not an impression that makes you say, "WOW!" But an impression that makes you say, "I'd like to come back if I'm around". I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Bowl and it was tasty and filling. Price: Prices are fair, can't complain.

ordered for delivery and held up very well. the fries were a little salty but hit the spot the same and the salad plate was pretty damn tasty. the pickled veggies were probably my favourite but overall the flavours were solid and it didn’t need dressing. can’t wait to come check it out !!

Excellent restaurant! It's like Chipotle but for Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food. The main actor in this cultural cuisine category is probably CAVA, but I honestly like BisBas more. It's menu is simpler and yet has better variety. The Mediterranean diet is the healthiest in the world according to experts and this restaurant is healthy, tasty, and quick. I highly recommend it.

LOVE! The food is fresh and excellent, the staff are lovely, and the restaurant has a good amount of space. I typically get the Chicken Shawarma bowl and the mint lemonade and they're so good. The portion size is perfect for if you have a big appetite or if you want to split it in 2 to save for later. Bis Bas is a reliable option for me, whether I'm ordering delivery or eating in person.

Wow I ordered delivery and that was unbelievably good. Been craving toum / a Mediterranean bowl with all the fixings and this is the spot. Great portions, fresh, and nourishing. So happy I found you! (I got a chicken shawarma / basmati / sweet potato bowl and can't wait to try more options!)

The value of this place is terrific. I got a big bowl of goodies for $11. Fresh ingredients, really tasty, and they really pounded in there so you feel like you're getting a lot of food. I got five dollar baklava. Which was tasty, and a nice treat to myself but that brought it up to $18 total. I tried a lot of new things in my mix bowl. I love the sweet potatoes. The sauces were very interesting. Really fast and no one was in line. Nice staff.

Overall this was a solid spot in Williamsburg offering good value. Ordered a beef shawarma pita, falafel pita, small lentil soup, and zataar fries. Came out to about $28. It was definitely a good bit of food and my wife and I were definitely full from it all. Pita sandwiches themselves were great. Lots of different sauces mixed in with vegetables. Loved all the contrasting flavors of salty/sour/spicy. The lentil soup was fine although portions were really small. Probably the most disappointed by the zataar fries. Fries themselves were pretty standard, but there was barely any zataar seasoning. Definitely a letdown. Overall service is speedy. I did takeout but there was plenty of seating before noon inside. It's a causal spot so wouldn't go on any romantic dates or anything, but good option for casual lunch/dinner.

Such a delicious and cheap place to eat, it is so craveable and satisfying. It reminds me of a place I used to eat almost every day in university, but elevated. I always get the bowl. Their basmati rice is cooked wonderfully with a nice chew and the perfect base to accompany all the other ingredients. They added some strands that bring an extra delightful texture. Their crispy onion is such a nice addition, adding a fragrance and sweetness from the onion and a nice crunch. Their chicken shawarma is so juicy and tender, and incredibly rich with flavor and spices. The hummus is creamy, nutty, and slightly tangy. The lettuce and tomatoes and other garnishes are very refreshing and are a nice complement with the heavier ingredients. The pita chips provide a wonderful crunch. The garlic sauce is very rich and creamy and garlicky and irresistible. A little too spicy on its own, but mixed with the meat and rice and garnishes, it is more balanced. The special sauce is quite an interesting sauce - a bit sweet, a bit tangy, a bit creamy - love it!

Great casual lunch spot. We got the mixed schwarma with different bases and toppings. Food was delicious, healthy and there wasn't a heavy greasy feeling afterwards.

My food came fast, I just the delivery person would have call me to let me know the food was here. The Zaater Fries weren't in the box, I'm not feeling that one.

First time ordering here and I will definitely be back. I got the bowl with beef and loaded it with all the toppings except jalapeños. Hummus, the beef, the 2 sauces and the pita were good.

I didn't taste anything special when I had food from here . The chicken was fetish the beef was basic and the sides and sauces were just ok and didn't improve the overall meal . I honestly can't comprehend this place getting a pretty much 5 star rating . I would say that everyone behind the counter I interacted with was very pleasant though and they do offer a decent variety of options . I wasn't in the slightest impressed to return however especially since having way better food such as Omar's in downtown manhattan .

Cute little spot for Mediterranean fast food type restaurant. Went before the dinner rush so it was pretty empty. The food itself was pretty good but I personally prefer Cava more in terms of the options and the portion sizes they have there. Recommend to anyone who's craving and is looking for a quick meal.

I'm not usually one to leave a review but I feel compelled here. If you're in N Williamsburg and like fast casual, this is a must try. The meat is so flavorful and the portions are large enough for a big boy like me. Have gone three times and it always hits. Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed the food. the portions are big , so be ready to have a big appetite. My bowl was so flavorful and delicious. The chicken and meat are grilled to perfection, and the best part was the lentil soup l. I really loved the food.

Waited there for 20 mins after doordash app said it was ready. Very annoying and waste of time. They'll help people who are in line before they do your online pickup order even though it was supposed to be ready first. However the food is really good and I've gone back when it's not busy and the service was great

So good, and I almost want it to remain a hidden because it's become a recent neighborhood favorite I ordered take-out and the portions are fresh and generous. Tasty Lebanese food with unlimited toppings AND a free drink?! Unheard of in these times, and I could eat a bowl for 1.5 meals. I love the diversity in spreads (you can choose 2) and sauces (also can choose 2). It's the perfect build-your-own-bowl kind of place and all for $15 The staff is also pretty friendly, and it makes a good casual sit-down spot too, though I usually take my orders to go. Will be back again!

So yummy! I've only gotten food to go from this fast casual restaurant but it is SO GOOD and the portions are huge with similar prices to other places like Cava or Naya. Would def recommend to spice up your Mediterranean fast casual options.

I've been to the Middle East (Turkey, Israel, Jordan) numerous times. The chicken Shwarma sandwich that I had today was outstanding; as good as anything I ate in those countries. I will be back to try other things.......

Very surprised how good this spot is. Looks unassuming on the outside but my bowl was sooooo tasty. Such good quality, refreshing, and filling! Awesome spot. Casual walk-in or great for takeout during lunch hours too.

This will be my first time ever visiting this location in this review. As I walked in and saw a clean and well kept kitchen and dinner area. The place was lit up and I was offer right away a free drink with my order I've place. But the food that is received was tasty and very delicious. I was even asked if I had an allergic and the staff was inform of my allergies. I'd love a restaurant that does ask their customers if they do have any allergies. Excellent services. Plus I wanted to eat somewhere else for once. I need healthy food made food while in New York City and it's hard to get clean good food and BIS BAS is panda Approved. But they ran out of plastic lits for the take out so he goes beyond the services and wraps it up for me and aluminum and plastic wrap. When I did arrive at my location the food was still hot and ready to eat. Next time BIS BAS give me all what you have, I'm promise I eat it all. But I had an excellent experience and truly and highly recommended it if you are in Williamsburg/Greenpoint Brooklyn

TLDR - Unfortunately I didn't enjoy my experience. Based solely on delivery. Chicken Shawarma and rice in bowl was very dried out and addtl fixings, such as hummus were minuscule in portion. Perhaps since I ordered toward the end of the day the quality was affected but definitely not as fresh as it could have been. Pita bread is a joke and the falafel were small, oily and slightly burned. Zaatar fries were enjoyable but arrived soggy due to packaging and delivery distance. Won't order again. Turns out it is more fast food establishment similar to the likes of Chipotle's buffet style set up. Ordered a bowl to which i chose chicken shawarma as my base (+extra chicken) as I figured it was a safe bet. Totaled a little under $18 before taxes. If you don't get the shawarma right at a Mediterranean restaurant, then there is very little hope for the business's success. Turned out to be a mistake to order since both the chicken and the grain base was very dried out. Not sure if it was because I ordered toward the end of the day, but either way, I don't think it was cut off a spit like most traditional restaurants, but rather was sitting out in some short of hot plate waiting to be served. Makes sense since I googled the place more thoroughly after being dissatisfied and saw that it is a fast food restaurant similar to a chipotle buffet set up. The inclusion of the add ons were also small in portion. I could barely find any hummus with the bowl. The pita was a laughable round that reminded me of the Arnold's sandwich thins. Not what I was expecting at all. I also did not finish it. I also ordered a falafel pita with addtl. falafel a la carte. The falafel were small, oily ad slightly burned. The worst trio for a good falafel ball. I ate them since I tossed the chicken shwarma dish, but they were not memorable in the slightest and I wouldn't order them again. I actually really liked the Zaatar fries which were a huge portion for the price point ($6) as I am used to many restaurants skimping. They had to be reheated as they arrived incredibly soggy due to packaging and delivery distance. All in all perhaps it is best to dine in..?, but I wouldn't try again.

Seriously, skip all the chains and come here. Two bases (you can mix salad and grains), two spreads, plus unlimited toppings and condiments - still more affordable! Fresh ingredients, great portion size, falafels just out of the fryer, bis bas and chile sauce that actually packs a punch. Only sad thing is I don't live close by..

The service was good. The guy was very friendly especially since he was getting harassed by delivery guys who didn't want to wait for their pick up orders. I took down some stars because of two reasons-the menu is very confusing and inconsistent. Nothing matches. On their laminated print out it indicated that the babaganoush is not vegan, and then on their blackboard it is listed as vegan. And the portions. For $14 these scoops are quite lacking, especially compared to Oasis. Now that im home and eating im shocked by the portion and falafel size lol. Its good, but i wish i had more bab&hum. Falafels were on the small size. Id eat here again but maybe in a few months until they iron out their details/menu And the hot sauce is outstanding!! Pita also very very good

I love Mediterranean food and a few years ago, one of my favorite places for mujadara and hummus closed. Bis Bas has filled the void and dare I say it, are even better than my old reliable. I love their bowls. I select a bowl, fill it with my choice of grain- mujadara, then choose my sauces - I like hummus and tzatziki, then protein - Chicken tawook, and the extras - i love their cauliflower and tahini. AND a pita is an absolute must. Their pitas are small but soft and pillowy. I almost always regret not getting an extra pita. I def want to try their sandwiches and always, always with a side of cauliflower. Excellent food - never been to the actual store but have ordered several times for delivery.

Edit 11/19 On days when it's good it's really good. No issues with unsorted lentils since original review, so upping to 5 stars.

For me i like bis bas more then cava and chipotle, my kids love it,they usually don't eat anything,but bis bas is different, the food is clean and delicious and healthy

Bis Bas has got it goin on. I'm so glad they came to the neighborhood. The food is fresh, they give the best portions, and the staff is always so friendly. They have a family vibe in there... I don't know if they are actually family but it seems like it. The falafel is so crispy and good and they got these fried onions next to the rice station that I recommend too. They are open till midnight and the food stays fresh late unlike some other spots in the area. I would take a pic of my food but I already scarfed it.

Incredibly good. Took a chance and ordered delivery, I got a chicken schwarma bowl with rice and all the toppings. It was incredibly good and big portion enough for two meals I also got the labneh which is dare say was some of the best labneh I ever had. It also comes with a pita so you can make your own sandwiches. This place is like a Mediterranean sweet green or Dig and I totally dig it. Delivery was fast, and packaging was efficient. Will come to check out the restaurant but I imagine it's more of a order/grab and go. Price was also very affordable.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is fresh and delicious. You must try the cauliflower (as a side though you don't wanna miss out on the meats). The portions are very generous and the service was great. I recommend this place for anyone on keto or vegan because the options are keto/vegan friendly. Will definitely be coming back! Also qahwah house is right around the corner which is a huge plus!

This is a very good deal for $13 for a bowl, however I wouldn't say it was mind blowing. It was okay, I put way too much sauce on mine which may have ruined it. I also may have came at a bad time, Sunday afternoon. The customer service was very friendly.

I was here with my kiddos few times and we love it !!!We enjoyed it thoroughly. I ordered the falafel plate with hummus and they got the chicken with babaghanush. The pita was included and was handmade. And the french fries WOW ! REAL :) Yummy ! The vegetables on the side were very fresh and a good addition to the whole meal. All in all, you get a lot . You really need to try the mint tea ! The guys are absolutely amazing and friendly ! See the picture. Would definitely recommend!

The employees are so welcoming, the ambience is very nice as well, it is very Instagram worthy. I got their chicken tawook and it's the best I've had. You should drop by!

Strong 8 to decent 9. Portion size is really solid, you will definitely be full. Healthy and tasty bowl with a plethora of veggies, sauce, and other accoutrements. I typically go for the falafel and chicken shawarma rice bowl and add in a bunch of veg. I have the same great experience in store and ordering via the delivery apps. Very grateful to have this place around.

Great customer service! Fantastic food. Instantly new I was going to be a regular after the first 30 seconds inside. It's like a healthy, Mediterranean chipotle!

Lovely interior and the food was great! We got a chicken shawarma pita sandwich and it was so moist. Usually these sandwiches are pretty dry so it was a pleasant surprise. We also tried their hummus which was really delicious. Their mint lemonade was also the perfect refreshing drink.

Food tasted fresh and each items flavor really stood out. Super yummy! Also I felt like the portion sizes were really good for the price.

Love quick, affordable, delicious food especially with super efficient/helpful/friendly staff, not just preparing your meal with a smile but ready to help you navigate anything unfamiliar and make recommendations, etc. Mustang was super nice (and his colleague on the register and the beverage area was great too). We asked about the two different kinds of chicken, and his reply was "get the chicken tawook; it takes a little longer but your first bite will be unforgettable." :) Love that and he was so right. The shawarma was great too of course. But it's basically mediterranean "subway/chipotle"-style...but way better.

I was pumped for Cava but not anymore, Bis Bas is way less salty and all around better quality. Highly recommend, hit it up!

Honestly surprised not to see more folks in here, so convenient and delicious and fresh tasting. A make your own Mediterranean bowl is super tasty and streamlined, the folks working here were super polite, and the flavors are all mouthwatering.

I visit NYC a couple times a year and recently came here hungry after checking into my hotel for the week. The food and service are great. I had a Chicken shawarma salad and everything was so flavorful and fresh. Would recommend this over Cava any day.

So good!!! The bowls are delicious as well as the tabouli and the shwarma fries are a hit!! Food is fast, great price, and they have healthy options. Staff is super friendly. I've eaten here 4x already and it's always delicious.

This place is legit. Food is fresh, shawarma is delish and service and cleanliness are A+. First time eating here but now a repeat customer. Make sure you get the crispy pita chips they are SOO good too!
