Biscottificio Antonio Mattei

This is the pinnacle of biscotti. They literally invented them. If these do not live up to your expectation of what a true Italian biscotti is, then your expectation is flawed. We did the tour, and it was fantastic! Not some commercialized visitor center with movies, but a real behind the scenes walkthrough of the factory while it is working, by an owner/member of the original family. I came to Prato just for this, and I am 100% glad I did. I cannot say enough good things about the people, the tour, and the products at Antonio Mattei!

Opened the blue bag and every single one of the biscuits were covered in mold so they all had to be thrown away and trashed I purchased them in the Florence store when we were there and thought they would be fresh but turns out they weren’t but just old and covered in mold

Cold, but a place to buy the famed cantucci, once. The quality is a disappointment. Certainly there are better and fresher in the country.

Extremely delicious, perfect gift, not that expensive

You should be ashamed calling these Italian biscotti. These were so bad I ate 2 and threw the bag in the trash. And before you think I don't know what I'm talking about my family are from the Mediterranean and we have eaten plenty of biscotti. Just terrible.

Visiting Prato you really should pass by this store to pick up a box of their cantuccini, typically Tuscan biscuits which you dip in Vin Santo. It is said that they produce the best!!! (I liked them very much and so will you)

I ordered €450 worth of biscottis because they are amazing. Shipped and arrived to NEW YORK. Unfortunately Antonio Mattei distribution company forgot to include my additional pacakage as I had entered in promotion and they agreed that they forgot. I went back twice to ask that they send what was promised but they never addressed the issue. Instead they gave me a discount for the next order I place..... as if €450 worth of inventory isn’t enough for an individual. I paid €150 euros in shipping... Upset about the Website online business experience. Biscottis are still good.

The ice cream biscotti was the best thing ever! Must try. Quite different from any other ice cream sandwich I've had. Absolutely loved it. Highly recommend it. Also the biscotti is fresh! The service here was amazing, very kind and helpful. The lady there happily offered me samples to try the biscotti. Will visit again to buy more!

The only place to get your biscotti. They were created in Prato! Everything is amazing & delicious here. I always buy several bags to take home with me to the states. They keep forever in your fridge.
