My fiancé and I stopped here before work and we were craving breakfast. We both ordered the same sandwich, it was good! The only difference was that I didn’t have a sauce/gravy on mine. My favorite part of the meal was the potatoes though, it was perfectly fried, super hot, and I feel like I could’ve eaten a bucket of it.

We tried this place recently for breakfast and had a good time. There is plenty of seating once you order at the counter. We timed it right, so fortunately there wasn’t a long wait to order. When we left, the line was out the door. I tried the Boozy Bird, a buttermilk fried chicken breast on a biscuit with bourbon maple syrup, and I ordered it with a shot of bourbon. The chicken was flavorful and the biscuit was excellent. My wife tried the Go Getta, biscuits and gravy. She ordered two biscuits to share with my daughter, but one would have been just fine. We would definitely come back if we are in the area.

Biscuit & Belly in downtown is definitely worth the hype! I had the biscuit with fried buttermilk chicken, cheddar, and gravy. I’m usually not big on gravy, but hey—when in Kentucky, right? And I have to say, it was absolutely delicious. It’s a popular spot, so expect a bit of a wait to order, but once you grab a seat, it’s all worth it. I actually drove by on a scooter, saw the line was long, grabbed a coffee, and came back just in time as it cleared out—perfect timing! Great food, good vibes, highly recommend!

Google
First time trying Biscuit Belly. Place was clean and staff was helpful. They have like breakfast happy hours where some things are half off so I got an order of Bonuts and the chicken no waffle thing that was on a French toast style Biscuit. The Biscuit was dense but good. The chicken was fried well but lacked flavor, and the donut holes were delicious especially with the cream filling topping that you can chose. Overall I liked it but I felt guilty in the end with all of the sugar and syrup.

Google
Clean restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food. What more can you ask for? The brisket was surprisingly good for this not being a barbecue restaurant. Highly recommend their eggs Benedict!

I’m not even a big fan of biscuits, but Biscuit Belly completely won me over! Everything was amazing—fresh, flavorful, and full of Southern comfort. Major shout out to the loaded tots… I could eat those all day long! 🔥

Google
I come to Louisville, Ky once a year for my business conference and this is a place I highly recommend. I make it a point to have Biscuit Belly for one of my meals while I am here between business sessions. They are always on point. This time I got the breakfast biscuit with Brisket with a side of tatter tots. As always I will be back next year.

Google
First time here and we will definitely be back! The service was amazing and the food was even more fantastic. Those cinnamon sugar donut holes are a MUST GET! Mimosas were delicious.

Yelp
I love this joint. Especially the service. The food is FANTASTIC. But the folks who work there make it all the better. Thanks

Yelp

Yelp
Biscuit Belly is always a safe choice for breakfast. The bonuts were sweet, but not too sweet. The biscuit was soft and tasty, as were the pancakes. They provided a quality breakfast at a reasonable price. The service was quick and the staff were pleasant. While not the best breakfast in the city, Biscuit Belly is reliable, and makes for a solid spot for anyone unfamiliar with the Louisville breakfast scene.

Yelp
Cute breakfast spot with a few tables outdoors but plenty of indoor dining. You order at counter and then food is brought to your table. We arrived during "Happy Hour" but unfortunately it was not explained to us ( or we would have ordered more). The girl at the register was training. I got the avocado toastie which unfortunately was very skimpy in avocado and rather bland and tasteless. I asked for medium hard cooked eggs but got sunny side up. My hubs got the basic biscuit which was very good but definitely too big to eat like a sandwich. The Bonuts stole the show with their yummy cream sauce and fruit sauce. Our friends were told of the " happy hour" specials and got some great drinks, loaded tots, mini biscuits and more that all looked delicious. If only I had known.

Yelp
Biscuit Belly is the place to go for a hearty breakfast - and they even serve breakfast cocktails! This is a order, sit and eat spot, so if you are short on time it's still a good option. If you sign up for their SMS texts you get a free order of their Bonuts ($7.70) - Biscuit donut holes, cinnamon sugar with bourbon cream cheese frosting. I tried their Espresso Martini ($9.50) and it was a bit weak alcohol wise, but still good. The Mama's Boy ($11.90) - Buttermilk fried chicken breast, roasted jalapeño pimento cheese, spicy belly pickles, fried green tomato and the The Go Getta ($10.90) - Sausage gravy over two large scratch-made biscuits were both so good - the biscuits were pretty dense and I couldn't finish it all, but the gravy was so so good. Would definitely come back here, I can imagine it's a great spot to go with a hangover (or not!)

Yelp
Such a cute spot! Bright with cafeteria style seating. You order first at the counter, find a seat and they bring it out to you. The staff was super friendly and helpful as I checked out the menu. I settled on the Rockwell and I noticed if you signed up for the app you get an order of their bonuts for free! With the Rockwell and an orange juice my meal came to less than $15. Such a steal! The Rockwell which is a biscuit split with fried chicken, cheddar cheese and gravy poured on top, was flavorful and filling. The bonuts were a great sweet treat and I loved that jam. I wish we had more of these types of places on the East but until then, I'll just have to come back to Louisville.

Yelp
My husband and I were traveling thru the area. We had tried a place similar idea to this in Seattle last summer. So we had to see how this restaurant compared. This place didn't dissappear. We had a great breakfast and the biscuits were so good and moist and fluffy.

Yelp
I'm a big, big breakfast fan and to me it's one thing I look forward to on a daily basis. I'm always looking for a new breakfast type of restaurant and Biscuit Belly in the Nuuk area of Louisville hits that spot pretty dang well. They have a very decently sized menu that can feel a bit overwhelming at first and especially based on how hungry you are. Biscuit Belly's main attraction are their various biscuit sandwiches which are loaded with various degrees of toppings. There are also a selection of lunch options to choose from such as their Mean Green BLT or the Brisky Business sandwich. On this particular visit, I decided to try their famous Rockwell Supreme which has fried buttermilk chicken breast, cheddar, goeta, an over easy egg, sausage gravy and bacon. I also ordered their loaded breakfast tots which are stuffed with bacon and cheddar and served with their sweet maple mayo sauce. I also decided to try their special iced chocolate covered strawberry mocha coffee (which you can also order hot). Presentation is definitely something that Biscuit Belly's excels in as the Rockwell Supreme came on a heart shaped biscuit (it's February so it's just after Valentines Day) and which a knife in the middle of the heart which I thought was an awesome touch. This sandwich is quite tasty and is one that I recommend using a fork and knife to eat. The eggs were absolutely just right and the biscuit was as fluffy as ever. The chicken wasn't dry at all and seemed to be cooked perfectly. The loaded breakfast tots of which you'll receive four were the perfect size and the sweet maple mayo sauce pairs quite nicely with them. The iced chocolate covered strawberry mocha did need a bit of stirring as it was still warm at the bottom but even so tasted great and wasn't too overly sweet. The service here is one in which you'll get a number and you'll sit at a table and wait for your food. They have very adequate service as my wife and I didn't have to wait very long at all for our food. As far as the environment of Biscuit Belly's goes it's very welcoming and one that is very relaxed and not at all loud or overpowering with the music with plenty of places to sit. Overall I highly recommend checking out Biscuit Belly, even if biscuits are not necessarily your cup of tea when it comes to breakfast they do have quite a few other options for your to enjoy and I believe your mouth will thank you for doing so.

Yelp
The food was great, service was friendly and quick, and the interior was bright and clean. We loved this place. We had the fried chicken biscuits with gravy. They were outstanding. I regret not getting a fancy latte. They looked amazing; however, the drip coffee was great. Great stop in Louisville that can start you off right to browse shops in Nulu.

Yelp
Great local spot for some tasty and quick breakfast or brunch. I was in the area after a meeting and decided to grab some breakfast. It wasn't too busy, but a nice flow of people. I was able to order easily and my food came out very quickly too. I had the Brekkie Bowl and it was delicious. Filled with grits, mushrooms, spinach, roasted tomatoes and onions, and goat cheese-- added an egg and sausage too. It was packed with flavor and very satiating. That and a cup of coffee, I was ready to take on the day. They kept the place super clean and it felt like a very comfortable environment. I'll def be back again soon!

Yelp
Great food. We found Biscuit Belly while driving through Louisville, and we're so glad we stopped here. The breakfast was delicious and we're still talking about it months later.

Yelp
I was searching for a good, good biscuits n gravy place and I found it. Everything was so delicious and filling. The service was nice and ordering was easy. The place was nice and clean too. Overall, the restaurant was nice. 10/10 will go again.

Yelp
This is a must visit breakfast/brunch spot in Louisville, KY. The food is delish, and if we had more time here, we would certainly visit again. The service was superb and friendly. You place your order and given a number for your table, then go find your own seat as your food is brought out to you. The ambiance is bright and vibrant. Very comfortable and nice. The parking is free and is validated inside the restaurant. Such a great place with filling comfort food. They offer to go containers you pack yourself, which I liked.

Yelp
Biscuit Belly had the Best Mushroom Gravy, Best Biscuit Gravy, and Amazing Cheese Gravy that I have had ever had in my life. If you are looking for buttery delicious biscuits with gravy that melts in you"re mouth, look no further. Get in my belly please any time of the day.

Yelp
Our sizable group stopped here on a Sunday afternoon as part of our history and food tour of NuLu and were impressed with the gravy sampler. We had a goetta gravy (substantial stick to your ribs), a mushroom gravy (umami on steroids), and a Hot Brown inspired gravy (béchamel sauce genre). Each was beyond compare. I literally cannot pick a favorite. Then there's the biscuits. These were fluffy and tender and layers upon layers of soft pillowy goodness and a match made in heaven as a phenomenal vehicle for the gravy train. Plan to return here in the next few weeks (and again and again and again) with friends and family to introduce them all to this heaven on earth experience. Service was friendly and helpful. The venue can be a bit noisy when busy, but we did not care to hold a conversation since we were so enamored with tasting biscuits and gravy. Mmmm mmmmm, good!

Yelp
This place was SO good! I got the Brisket biscuit and the friend green tomatoes and my husband got the Rockwell surprise with the loaded tots! I grabbed a strawberry iced latte and he had the bottomless coffee! This place is SO popular. Everyone was so kind, but it was PACKED. The line was out the door. Everyone is loving this place! It's loud, and you can't get a seat until after you've ordered, but the food is SO stinking good! We are so glad we stopped here as our last meal in Louisville before heading on our flight home!

Yelp
All food 10/10 literally. Get the go-getter gravy. The belly buster is indeed a belly buster. Fried chicken is seasoned perfectly and crisp. Biscuits soft and filling. Try the jam so delicious. We went back the next day and tried all new items and EVERYTHING was tasty. Definitely recommend the loaded tots!! The lavender mimosa was perfect (mostly champagne with a splash of juice just how we like it!) In the restaurant you order first then get seated. Clean and colorful area. Staff is very accommodating, welcoming and attentive. Full of smiles. When we come back to Louisville we will certainly return again!! Thank you

Yelp
Very tasty, great gluten free options, friendly staff! Get there early because it got busy with a line out the door around 9:30.

Yelp
I got the avocado toast w 2 eggs hubby got garden basket. Both were made to perfection - seasoning on point Would have loved to try a biscuit but was too full. Don't hesitate to stop into this eatery

Yelp
Delicious chicken biscuit with gravy. Long line to get in to order. Moved very quickly. Order at the counter, they bring the food to you. Bonus that they seat you instead of a free -for-all to snag an open table. Time from seat to service less than 5 minutes. Battered and fried chicken breast perfect - juicy in the middle, nice and crispy and not greasy. Slice of cheddar. Slathered with sausage gravy. Gravy creamy with the right mix of sausage and pepper. Biscuit fluffy and fresh, not crumbly. Biscuit-made Bonuts fried slightly crunchy and dredged in cinnamon & sugar, served with a cup of cinnamon butter. Yes!!!

Yelp
Food was great. Always great experience had the Biscuit sandwich. Never disappointed. Things always run smooth. Ordered and got delivered. Good was still hot. Nulu area

Yelp
We stopped in with the family on the last day of our visit. I wish I would have found this place sooner! Everything was top notch! I had the Belly Board, hubby had the Smokeshow, other items on the table included the Frenchie, the T-Bird and Belly Buster. EVERYTHING was delicious! I got a side of of the tomato chipotle sauce for my potatoes and ended up dipping everything in it. And that house made jam....omg tasted like fresh sweetened fruit. It was so good I tried to buy some to go but sadly they did not sell jars of it. I will definitely be hitting this spot up again on my next visit to Louisville!

Yelp
So, there's this place called Biscuit Belly that has this breakfast sandwich called the "Colossal Belly Buster". It's like a huge stack of biscuits, sausage, eggs, cheese, and gravy. It's massive and super filling. If you're feeling adventurous, try the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. It's got a bit of a kick, but it's not too spicy. The chicken is juicy and the pickles and mayo add a nice touch If you're a fan of traditional breakfasts, you gotta try the Belly Board at Biscuit Belly. It's got eggs cooked just how you like 'em, crispy bacon, and biscuits that are light and fluffy But if you're feeling adventurous, go for the Inside Out Omelet. It's like a regular omelet, but all the fillings are wrapped inside the eggs. It's so good, with all the flavors of fresh peppers, onions, mushrooms, and cheese And of course, no breakfast is complete without a morning cocktail. The Tequila Sunrise is a refreshing mix of orange juice, tequila, and grenadine. It's perfect for a morning pick-me-up. Or if you prefer something a little stronger, try the Old Fashioned. It's expertly mixed and super smooth So whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop at Biscuit Belly for a breakfast that will make your day!

Yelp
Biscuit Belly is a delicious breakfast spot in Louisville! Fresh biscuits and gravy hit the spot. I had the Rockwell and it was so good! Crispy check with gravy all over. I only wish it came with a tad more gravy. Bonuts are a must as well! Their spin on donuts were so delicious to finish out our meal. I also enjoyed the brown sugar iced latte. Highly recommend trying while in town!
google avatar

Yelp
Everyone raves about this place. I remember the hype when it first opened up. I first got to sample what they could do at The Gravy Cup, an amazing biscuits and gravy competition. I was so excited to try the real deal. I came with some breakfast loving friends. I got the biscuit bennie, seeing it came with brisket. I think I'll pick something else the next time. I have been fortunate to have probably the best brisket in the world in Texas, and this didn't quite measure up. All other elements of the Benedict were great, especially the biscuits. My friends are vegetarian and they were very glad to have options for them. The atmosphere is fun and light, and the staff is very sweet and helpful. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
They have a lovely atmosphere, excellent service, and DELICIOUS food The coffee is good too!

Yelp
Before hitting the road after our trip to Louisville, my husband and I decided to stop for breakfast and gave Biscuit Belly a try based on recommendations. I'm not typically a big biscuit fan, but I have to say, the biscuit with jam was surprisingly delicious. The biscuit was flaky and soft, and the jam was a perfect sweet touch. While it was a solid breakfast choice, I'm not sure I'd return specifically, but it was definitely worth trying once. If you're a fan of biscuits or looking for a quick breakfast in Louisville, Biscuit Belly is worth a stop!

Yelp
We enjoyed our brunch at Biscuit Belly while visiting Louisville this past weekend. The space is bright and airy with welcoming and simple decor. You order at the front counter before taking a table, so depending on how busy it is this can be a little stressful (that is, ordering and hoping a decent table is available for you and your party!). The line to order can also be long, but that speaks to the restaurant's popularity and quality. The food came out very quickly and was tasty and well portioned. We ordered the GOAT chicken biscuit, and the pepper jelly and goat cheese toppings were a nice surprise. The omelette with mornay sauce was also excellent. If you like biscuits and breakfast, I recommend it!

Yelp
Just updating that everything I mentioned before still rings true. I work nearby and have gotten food to go many times. Staff is always friendly and food is always tasty!

Yelp
Easy parking. Clean, clean, clean. Friendly and polite service. Maybe the best biscuit ever, and I'm old. Great breakfast potatoes, crispy outside and fluffy interior. Wonderful in house jam. Excellent sausage. Good sausage gravy. Well cooked eggs. Nice and interesting interior. Outdoor patio.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
Very interesting set up, you place your order at the register and find a seat - the line was long for a Friday morning and it moved a bit slow. Love the decor and they even sell merch! We originally planned to sit and eat but we realized our distillery appt was an hour away and all we had was an hour! I asked if our food could be put in to go containers and after 15 mins, our food arrived in to go containers and bagged! We had to eat in the car but it was all delicious! You probably can't go wrong with anything you eat here - The Rockwell and the Belly Board were plenty for us! We tried to sign up for the rewards while we waited in line but we didn't get the text in time.
google avatar

Eric B.

Yelp
A slick, appealingly branded breakfast chain across the South, BB specializes in biscuit sandwiches. They are fine, but lack structural integrity - your sandwich is falling apart half way through your meal. Its a classic shortcoming of the biscuit. Better to toast a bagel or American toast, fill it with your meat(s) and cheese(s), and enjoy your sandwich with a drink while you wait for the sun to rise. With a buttery, jam filled biscuit on the side
google avatar

Jen F.

Yelp
I ordered the mamas boy with a side of fruit, and my hubby ordered with Rockwell supreme with a side of breakfast tots. First thing we noticed; these are not buttermilk biscuits! We both agreed, it was one of the least favorite biscuits we've tried. They had a bitter taste to them, which makes me wonder how much baking powder they use. The chicken on both of our sandwiches was really dry. I needed more pimento cheese on mine and my hubby needed more gravy on his. Was the food terrible? No. It was okay. But would we go back? No. The breakfast tots and the side of fruit were the highlights of the meal and that shouldn't have been the case.
google avatar

Yelp
Good food with friendly service!! My wife and I came for our 42nd anniversary!! Who would thought they knew with the heart-shaped biscuits and all!! The Goetta sausage gravy was tasty. The wife's biscuit sandwich was as good. The restaurant was very clean and presentable.
google avatar

Edward S.

Yelp
Goetta gravy is the bomb. And the loaded breakfast tots with sweet maple mayo is so freaking addictive. Even my diabetic friend couldn't resist to pop one or two ;-). It's a great way to get a quick fix for some simple southern breakfast cravings.

Yelp
Stopped at this cute little place for breakfast while visiting NuLu. Sat at the bar and the barista/manager was very friendly and told us a few fun thing to see/do/eat in the area. Drip coffee great. Loved it was served in a real mug. My avocado toastie lacked avocado. Husband's biscuits and gravy were very good he said. Free bonuts with signup were a nice touch. We would return!
google avatar

Dawna M.

Yelp
Our biscuits were so good! Husband got the brisket biscuit and I got the fire in the belly. Yummy!
google avatar

Cassidy Y.

Yelp
Staff is friendly, they great you and check in on you to make sure your satisfied with your meal! We are visiting the area for the Derby and went to biscuit for a second time today, the woman at the register recognized us and said welcome back! The food came out but they had only rang up 1 of our breakfast items. They fixed it quickly! We have tried the bonuts with cream cheese frosting, the Rockwell supreme, the smoke show. Everything we ordered was delicious!
google avatar

Andy O.

Yelp
This place was recommended by a local to check out for breakfast so we have it a shot. I had the Rockwell Supreme which was really damn good. Definitely would get it again. My wife had the parfet and we shared the loaded breakfast tots which were amazing. I also loved their craft sodas. Would definitely recommend this place. We did make a stop here again the next time we were in town. This time I had the G.O.A.T. it was good, but did not live up to my previous order.
google avatar

Alex V.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the breakfast there. Service was friendly, and the lady walked me through the menu options. I had Biscuit Benny with brisket, and their regular coffee. Everything was good, from presentation, to flavor, to the size. And really enjoyed the vibe at this place. Overall, good place to try if you are into Southern biscuits.
google avatar

Melissa F.

Yelp
Easy walk from hotel - I arrived and walked right in but within 5 min there is a line out the door. Single people are asked to sit at the counter which is ok for today. The food - hmmm. Well the brisket is sliced thin like bacon and flat ironed which made it dry and salty (I was expecting more like pulled pork) but when put with the sauce and egg it works! Funny how a single get put to a counter and food just dropped to them never to be checked on again yet the tables are all getting a grand let's us know if you need anything a dozen times right next to me. Which is ok with me just an observation of single travel. The menu reminded me of maple biscuit company but the biscuits are better !

Kristin W.

Yelp
In Louisville for 2 days and ate breakfast here both days! Highly recommend the T-Bird omelette! I will be thinking about this breakfast for a long time!!

Yelp
All I really have to say about this place is YUMMMM! My husband and I stopped in for a morning meal before I headed into a 4-hour tattoo appointment at a shop nearby. I knew I'd need something to get me through the pain, and we were so happy this location happened to be right around the corner from our Airbnb. The menu is well-tailored to showcase their famous buttery home-style biscuits in almost every option. With a wide selection of choices, I don't see how anyone (including the health-conscious) wouldn't be able to find something delicious to eat! They specialize in both classic and unique breakfast sandwiches, platters, biscuit donut holes, waffles, pancakes, and more! Don't overlook their selection of different gravies, too- there is truly something for everyone! I got a jumbo mimosa and the "Belly Board," customizing it to include bacon instead of sausage, and fresh fruit instead of potatoes. The biscuit was just GLORIOUS paired with the blackberry syrup, bacon was savory & crispy, and the scrambled eggs were cooked exactly as they should be. My husband got "The Rockwell Supreme" and cleaned his plate! It satisfied him so much, he actually contemplated ordering another one to go! All employees were friendly and accommodating, from the girl who took our order, to the bussers, waiters, and cooks. Everyone, including all customers, seemed very happy to be there! The atmosphere of this location is clean, bright, well-designed, and comfortable. Service is FAST and I noticed the tables were immediately cleared and cleaned once visitors left. Our takeaway is-- if you're looking for a delicious, quick, home-style breakfast or brunch in the Butchertown area of Louisville, here you go! My only advice is (and I can't emphasize this enough..) get here EARLY if you don't want to wait! Especially on a weekend! We got there at about 10:30am on a Friday and within 20 minutes the line was out the door!

Yelp
This was amazing we got there 39 min before close and was treated like they just opened I had the belly buster and the brisket biscuit With lavender coffee

Yelp
We found ourselves relaxing in the area once again. Had to grab breakfast here. We hit this on Monday late morning. Perfect, as it can be crowded...and rightfully so. This is a must do for all that appreciate breakfast. The biscuits (OBVIOUSLY) are on point. Nuff said.
