The food was amazing! I love everything about this restaurant, the environment, the food, especially the jellies that they make & of course the decor of all the cats. I got a s’mores iced latte and the bologna biscuit with a poached egg. My husband got the 3 scrambled eggs and a biscuit with a mimosa. We left very full and happy! We will definitely be back 💛

Google
The atmosphere is cute, filled with funny cats. The ordering process was quick, you take a number and pick your table. The soda is self serve so that’s a plus. The food was absolutely amazing. From my scrambled egg to my biscuit and gravy, YUM. The sausage has a little kick to it, which really complimented the meal. Will be visiting again on our next trip. 😌🙌🏼

Google
I went here on a Sunday it was so busy and crowded very much TIGHT. I got the filthy animal it was awesome I just wish the chicken was a bit bigger, the strawberry jam was to die for!!!! I had a caramel latte I’m a big coffee girl, and let me just say this coffee has ruined other coffee places for me. I loved the coffee so much I got a to go. The salsa verde AMAZING!!! They sell the jam and the salsa! Have free stickers. The staff really kept to themselves, but the food was great. The cat decorations were so cute, but I couldn’t really see anything up close because it was so crowded. In total for the filthy animal (2), potato’s, eggs, coffee, and lemonade $50. I was full for the rest of the day. I would say if you get fully easily maybe just split it lol. Great experience can’t wait to come back.

Google
Had a wonderful brunch consisting of a delicious variety off their menu. The coffee and latte was delicious as well. I enjoyed having conversations in the quiet, quaint dining room. The restaurant was clean and comfortable.

Google
Very cute place! I had the Classic Sandwich with a side of gravy for $12. I definitely got my moneys worth and left feeling full. I tried the Honey Lavender Iced Latte which was delicious. My partner got the classic breakfast and loved it! I definitely would come back!

Google
Absolutely love it! 🧡 Biscuit Head is everything I hoped for and more! The food was incredibly flavorful — southern comfort at its finest. The biscuits were HUGE and so delicious, and the toppings were perfectly done. The service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Definitely a must-try if you’re in Asheville and want a hearty, satisfying meal. Can’t wait to come back for more!

Google
Wasn't sure what to expect when we came into this little place but was pleasantly surprised. The staff were super friendly. The biscuits were big and tasty with many options with a yummy twist on traditional breakfast biscuits. Give small town diner vibes with great tastes. Coffee was perfect as well. Dog friendly outside

Google
Cat lovers unite! But seriously, this place loves cats, and I'm here for it. (There are no actual cats on the premises) Get there before 10am unless you're okay with a wait - which can get lengthy. Worth it, though. Be sure to order just a plain biscuit on the side so you can enjoy the jam/jelly bar 🤤

Yelp
Stopped here for breakfast after finding our first choice was closed due to the recent disaster and Biscuit Head was a fantastic discovery. We each ordered something different, but each included a biscuit of some sort. Between the four of us, we had the Fried Tomato Biscuit, a Biscuit with Sausage Gravy, the Asheville Benedict, and the Full Breakfast with two over easy eggs, fried green tomatoes, bacon, and a cat head biscuit. The only person who wasn't totally in love with her meal was the one with the fried tomato biscuit (she said it wasn't hot enough), but the rest of us really enjoyed our meals. I was totally impressed by their butter and jam bar with all the flavored butters and different delicious jams. There were so many unique flavors of jam; sour cherry, rosemary peach, chai sweet potato, apple pie, and mango chili along with the regular berry and strawberry. What a wonderful treat to be able to try each one! Everyone who worked there was friendly and welcoming, portions were generous, and food was amazing! Wish we had something like this back home!

Yelp
If you're looking for a spot that serves up some seriously satisfying comfort food, look no further. Biscuit Head was recommended by locals and it did not disappoint. I had the biscuits with a gravy flight, and from the first bite, I knew I was in for a treat. I got the sweet potato coconut gravy, shiitake mushroom gravy, and the pork sausage gravy. All of them were amazing! And then came the French toast. Golden brown and perfectly crisp on the outside. Topped with a dusting of powdered sugar and strawberries and bananas. Absolutely delicious! The cozy atmosphere and friendly service only made the experience better. Whether you're craving a hearty breakfast or just need a little comfort food in your life, this spot is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
If my husband were reviewing he'd probably rate them higher, but I just am not clicking with most of the food here. We visited a different location last year where mistake was mine, I ordered something thinking it was different from what it was. This year, I didn't order badly, but nothing really stands out except for the delicious jams. The jams are 5 star on their own. But, overall, I had issues with just about everything else. We split a full breakfast with a biscuit, two eggs, sriracha sausage, and bacon. All of these are things I normally would like. The eggs were fine, a little over salted to my taste but otherwise fine. I ate all my egg. The biscuit was very heavy and doughy. I had my husband cut me off 1/4 of the biscuit and I couldn't even finish that because of how heavy it was. The bacon, which I normally like crunchy but "melt in your mouth", was hard and chewy, so I only had a bite. The sausage tasted like meatloaf to me, and I can't stand meatloaf, so gave up after one bite on that as well. I like sriracha normally, but maybe burnt sriracha and burnt ketchup both do the same thing and that's why it tasted like meatloaf to me? Hubby thinks I'm a monster for not liking meatloaf anyway, and he enjoyed the sausage and biscuit but was agreement on the bacon. The cherry jam is the best. The other jams are good, the chili mango actually has kick. I'd probably come here to buy jam if I could just buy a jar and take it home, and I'll come again next year when we are in town because I know my hubby is going to want biscuits and I love him, but I may just order some toast to put the jam on.

Yelp
Had a wonderful brunch consisting of a delicious variety off their menu. The coffee and latte was delicious as well. Our order was delivered to our table in a timely manner with a smile. I enjoyed having conversations in the quiet, quaint dining room. The restaurant was clean and comfortable.

Yelp
SO. GOOD. Love the jam bar! Biscuits are delish of course as is the rest of the food.

Yelp
I decided to try Biscuit Head and placed an online order. It said estimated 15-20 minutes for the order so I placed it before I left the house but it was ready in 5 minutes so I wish I hadn't ordered it ahead of time because my order sat for a while. It was still warm but it definitely steamed a bit in the container. The biscuit sandwich was good but was really hard to eat, it was big and hard to pick up, and the biscuit crumbled into pieces.

Yelp
It is hard to put into words how much we loved our breakfast at Biscuit Head because our meals left us speechless! From the friendly staff to the eclectic coffee mugs, Biscuit Head has a home like feel that could only be found down south. The gravy flight came with 1.5 biscuits which gave us the opportunity to sample different gravy variations. The fried green tomato biscuit was equally delicious. Biscuit Head is a must visit when visiting the Asheville area!

Yelp
Breakfast was awesome. On my way home from EOTD, I stopped in Asheville for breakfast with my brother, the line was out the door for good reason! It wasn't a super long wait and well worth it. Ordered my food and a latte and both were great. Super flavorful and fresh. Loved the greens and hollandaise sauce. They have a butter and jam bar!!!!! I got the berry Jam and an apple crumble butter, I believe. Both were delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
The food here is always incredible, the eggs Benedict is delicious and the pimento grits have to be a favorite of mine. But the full breakfast with the cheesy eggs, fried chicken and grits? You really can't get any better than that. Their prices are fantastic all around and I love that they sell the biscuit mix they use in store! Do yourself a favor and grab a cup of their medium roast while you're there, some of the best black coffee around.

Yelp
It is a mix of feelings. Let's break it down. Pros: 1. Variety on the menu. Everyone should be able to find something. 2. They are fast so table turnover. The service is super nice. 3. The basic flavors are good. Cons: 1. The biscuits are cold by the time I get them. The butter is freezer hard and won't melt :( 2. The bacon is not cooked with consistency... some uncooked and fatty .. some overcooked and crispy. 3. The jam bar is hard to manuever and tives the vibe of sloppy and unsanitary.

Yelp
This was one of the places I was most excited to visit in Asheville. I was so glad we were able to get in. I had a great breakfast scramble with eggs, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, pimento cheese. I added sausage to mine. Came with a great homemade biscuit. I also had delicious freshly squeezed orange juice. My hubby enjoyed biscuits and gravy. My teen had the biscuit French toast. Everyone left full and happy. Portions were definitely generous.

Yelp
First of all, Dwight helped us order and was just the loveliest human! So kind and patient! Each dish we got was so unique and absolutely delicious! It was a very laid back space, maybe a bit tight, but overall a totally enjoyable experience!

Yelp
When visiting Asheville, Biscuit Head is a must stop for breakfast or brunch. They are just that good and popular, you may have a little wait. While you wait in line, you are offered samples and given a menu to look over. I already knew what I wanted, the 'Mimosa Fried Chicken Biscuit' and 'Peach Bellini'. Let me break down the biscuit for y'all... A large fluffy buttermilk biscuit, w/sriracha slaw, fried boneless mimosa chicken thighs topped with a scrambled egg and sweet potato jam. So good! A fork is a must! Seating is kind of tight, you have the option of inside or outside, a plus of that they find your seat. Some seating is kind of community seating. Oh! I can't forget their jam/jelly bar. There are so many good ones to choose from. Add this to your foodie list!

Yelp
Huge servings. Great biscuits. Fast service. Nice cozy place for breakfast. I would recommend.

Yelp
Atmosphere: Biscuit Head is a small shop with indoor and outdoor seating. This was a highly recommended spot to us as one of Asheville's staple food spots. Service: Our server was friendly! We ordered at the counter, and our biscuits came out quickly. Food: We ordered the Mimosa and Filthy Animal. The fried chicken on the biscuits were juicy and flavorful, but the biscuits lacked fluffiness and fell a bit flat for us. We liked the sweet, tangy sauce on top of the Mimosa that paired well with the chicken and egg. The Filthy Animal didn't live up to the flavor we were hoping for, especially the gravy that it came with. Overall: We're glad that we got the chance to try Biscuit Head while in Asheville, but we wouldn't say that they have the best biscuits we've ever tried. We appreciated the variety on their menu, but for the price, we expected better biscuits.

Jim B.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place but I don't enjoy having to wait out in the hot sun and then it's like Panera inside.

Yelp
Had to make a quick day trip out to Asheville to make a delivery. Having heard they are still in the process of recovering from Helene I wasn't sure how much would be open. After making my delivery I decided to see if my favorite breakfast spot, Biscuit Head was open, and when I got there and saw the open sign, I knew it was my lucky day! I had never been to this location, which if you're not sure what you're looking for, you will 100% miss it. It's nestled back in a cluster of building which look more like an apartment building than businesses/restaurant. Regardless, I found it, and it was time to eat! Fortunately for me, it was a Monday morning, tourism is still slow, I was able walk straight to the counter, and placed an order, no line! The staff was super friendly, happy, and welcomed me in. When you walk I , you're immediately at the counter, and then it snakes back around the corner to a small eat in dining room. I order the Southern Scramble, grabbed some samples from the jam bar, and took a swat. I'm only a few minutes away full plate was sitting in front of me. 3 scrambled eggs, ground sausage, pimento cheese, piled high on one of their cat head biscuits! This hit the spot, was fantastic, and just what I had been craving. I have never been disappointed by anything I've gotten when visiting a Biscuit Head. Highly recommend! 20 out of 10, I will no doubt be back!!

Yelp
This was the star of my trip to Asheville! Holy moly a huge biscuit with great chicken, great sauce, great service. I wanted to come back the next day! Words can't do it justice, this was THE best breakfast I've had in such a long time

Yelp
Two of us went at 10:20 am for breakfast on Saturday, 5/18/24. There was a line, but it wasn't super long. When we left just before 11 am, the line was way longer, so go early! You order at the counter and tell them how many are in your party and then they find you a table and place the number stand on your table and point you in that direction. Then they bring your food to you. Pretty efficient system! We got Classic Sandwich with fruit cup ($8) and Classic Sandwich with bacon ($8). The fruit cup was very generous with grapes, strawberries, apple and banana slices. We weren't impressed with the biscuit or the sandwich. The biscuit wasn't anything special. I also got the Nutella Chai. It was good, but just tasted like chai. Overall, pretty average and we don't feel the need to go back.

Yelp
Outstanding place for biscuits with options to go with your biscuit. The food and portion size is great. Service was fast, servers were very friendly. Ambience is modern, clean and has a trendy vibe. We would come back!

Yelp
Nice spot but not my favorite. I was looking for another new place to try and came across Biscuit Head which has several locations around AVL. I went to the one on Biltmore and met a friend around 1130am on Sunday. The line was out the door but moving fast. My friend had a dog though so he sat at a table outside while I placed our orders. The waitstaff apparently got on his case a couple times for sitting at a table without a number (even though I was in line for both of us), but not a big deal once they checked in with me as I was approaching the register. We got the fried green tomato and the fried bologna biscuits. I also got a maple bacon latte. It was pretty nice out, mid 60s but we were unfortunately completely in the shade so I was a bit chilly, but the hot latte helped me warm up and was very tasty. I especially enjoyed the thick slice of bacon that garnished the mug. Our dishes came out pretty fast, about 10 minutes. While they looked great and the portions were generous, they both just fell a little flat for us. He wasn't a huge fan of the sauce on his (they do have a huge sauce selection inside though) and I thought my biscuit was just a bit dry. It was super thick too, and I think it either needed more mustard or another more potent sauce. Not a bad experience by any means, but I think there are new places I'd still Want to try or some other spots I'd return to before come back here.

Yelp
Always good! Great casual atmosphere, great food. Always a ling line to get in so you know it is good

Yelp
Yes, Biscuit Head is worth the hype! They have both savory and sweet options. Their house-made jams and butter are out of this world. We got the filthy animal - it's a generous portion so we shared and also got a slide of an extra biscuit and tried all their jams and butter. The honey cinnamon latte with almond milk was on the sweet side, but the flavor was so warm and comforting. Service was friendly. The Asheville location has a small parking shared with other businesses. We visited Asheville shortly before the devastating #2024hurricanehelene. The people of Asheville are so welcoming and positive. Our hearts are with Asheville during this difficult time and sending love and hope as their recovery begins.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast and brunch place in Asheville. Great country decor. You go in and order and get a number and you can eat there or take it to go. They have fantastic biscuit dishes. We had the Country Ham Biscuit: Biscuit with country ham, fried green tomato, cheesy egg, and a side of red-eye gravy and the Mimosa Fried Chicken Biscuit: Biscuit with mimosa fried chicken, sweet potato butter, sriracha slaw, and a poached egg. They were both very tasty, great flavor profiles. They also have coffee and full coffee bar. I had a vanilla latte They are open 8am to 2 pm seven days a week and there's parking available right in front.

Yelp
I was here back in 2016 with my family and it was great. Fast forward 8 years and I'm married now and ready to bring my husband to this amazing spot. Still great! I loveeeee how efficient this place is. It's insane with how small it is and they are still able to keep the line manageable. This time I got the chicken mimosa and it was fantastic! Wow that sweet potato jam is insanely good. Husband got the full breakfast and was excited to try the jams with his biscuit. Hes just a sucker for jam and thought the jam bar was pretty unique. I love that this is SUCH a hearty meal. We ate at 8-ish and didn't need to eat another big meal until dinner. So that's helpful when you're out exploring biltmore all day (and you refuse to eat there because the food is sub-par with a hefty price tag). Total success, once again!
google avatar

Paul P.

Yelp
Love biscuits? You love them even more when you come here. They are fresh homemade with great flavor. Not too much buttery and right amount of moistness. They have great creations from simpler to crazy sandwiches. I love Asheville and go every time I visit this town. It gets busy at times, but it goes quick. Worth the wait.
google avatar

Brittany B.

Yelp
So good! I love the jam bar. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Their biscuits are so good!

Angie M.

Yelp
Followed the hype and stopped at Biltmore Ave. location. First impression: these biscuits are NOT "cat heads." They are bulk made, pressed into a pan and cut into squares. Look up the definition of cat head biscuit. I ordered the country ham biscuit looking forward to cheesy eggs, fried green tomato and red eye gravy. I was very disappointed when I was served a country ham Benedict. Poached egg smothered in the saltiest ORANGE country ham gravy I have ever tried to ingest. I like salt and I tried, but I couldn't eat it. If you give me a Benedict, where's the hollandaise? They were so busy, I didn't want to wait in line to complain. Threw that money away. Very disappointed.
google avatar

Yaglin S.

Yelp
I was so excited when I found out they had a plant-based biscuit option! OMG it was absolutely delicious, I forgot to take a picture. My husband had the breakfast sandwich and my daughter had the French toast. I can't wait to go back one day and have it again. The oatmilk vanilla latte was exactly what I needed to warm up. We sat outside, place is very small; the wait was long so make sure you go with patience. It's worth the wait!
google avatar

Rony D.

Yelp
Food was mediocre at best. Not sure what the hype is all about. My egg was bland, and the biscuit didn't taste that good.

Ann B.

Yelp
We are longtime patrons of Biscuit Head located n Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC and have been fans for several years. We are no longer fans as of Saturday, May 31, 2025. The quality of the food has deteriorated incrementally for a couple of years but today tipped the scales to inedible. The biscuits were flat, insipid, and putty colored, and tasteless. The eggs and grits were overly salted before they were served. Disappointing? Terribly! The prices for these dishes are ridiculously high for the quality being served. Goodbye to what was once wonderfu. We won't go back.
google avatar

Jennifer O.

Yelp
There were things I loved and things I didn't love so much about biscuit head. This place was super busy, and the line was very long. We ended up eating outside, and it was a bit cold for that. despite that they have an interesting menu... I had a latte with a piece of bacon in it so that was great. I also had a take on eggs Benedict. I love that they had so many jam options and of course I needed to try them. They didn't have the best biscuits that I tried while in the south, but they were pretty good.
google avatar

Brandy H.

Yelp
As you'd expect, the biscuits here are amazing! Very light and fluffy. The vegetarian biscuits and gravy were absolutely delicious. I added two eggs on top and it was super filling. The Asheville Benedict was a great local dish worth a try. Service was incredibly fast! We had barely sat down and our food was coming out from the kitchen. Everyone was so nice. It is a smaller cafe, but very bright and there was ample parking in the lot out front.
google avatar

nick d.

Yelp
Food was good, but for what we got it was way over priced. 2 biscuits, 2 cups of gravy and French toast. 2 cups of black coffee. 50$. Ouch.
google avatar

Brittney W.

Yelp
The best biscuits and gravy you will ever eat! Great service. Parking in parking deck. Coffee cart outside if the line is busy.
google avatar

Ahnae S.

Yelp
The food is to live for! The biscuits are so fluffy with a crispy top. The jam bar is an absolute must have with a plain biscuit. The service was very friendly and very fast. It is a smaller restaurant but it accommodated all of the guests that came for breakfast. It gives pretty cozy vibes. Update: The line was out the door when I left. I arrived just in time but this tells you how good their food is

Bill G.

Yelp
The food was very good, filling, and plentiful. The jam/jelly bar is a very nice touch. This particular location is pretty small and cramped. I know that they have a new larger location as well but haven't been there yet. But we will certainly check it out.

April F.

Yelp
Just average. They are cat head biscuits slightly crumbly. We got the Filthy animal, the country ham biscuit, a classic, and a plain biscuit. The filthy animal the chicken was old. The ham biscuit had the worse fried green tomato we've ever had. It was made ahead, tasteless, soggy, just gross. The plain biscuit was ok with the homemade jams. We all agreed my biscuits at home a much better. So bummed as I followed this place on FB for 2 years before having the opportunity to go. For 50 bucks I could have made a ton at home with happy customers.
google avatar

Caroline L.

Yelp
Holy biscuits Batman!! This place is small and hoppin'... crazy lines and we waited about 25 min for a table but it was well worth it. I'm pretty sure between us we tried almost everything on the menu. The biscuits are huge (yes one is enough!) and I was so excited to have a vegetarian biscuits and gravy - it was soooooo delicious!!

Phil V.

Yelp
1st time there. Ham biscuit was great. Service was very prompt and courteous. Loved all the different jellies on the jelly bar. Nice quaint place.
google avatar

Todd W.

Yelp
The food is amazing, service was fast and accommodating and the restaurant was very busy! Had a short wait and was worth every minute. The jellies at the jelly bar blew me away! The dining area is close quarters but very friendly.
google avatar

Kyle B.

Yelp
This place was a homerun. Tucked away in a location you wouldn't expect. Foos was delicious & filling. Service was good. Liked the variety of jelly. Most certainly plan to return.
google avatar

Janet K.

Yelp
I was disappointed to see they have stopped opening on Saturdays. It seems their business plans have changed since they reopened after Covid. Nonetheless, my Greek Chicken was just as I remembered. I wasn't in the mood for anything but chicken and bread. I asked for extra sauce over my chicken and ordered an extra of those delicious yeast rolls. I grabbed real butter packets on my way out. Butter rolls and that Greek chicken was perfect that day.
google avatar

Emily A.

Yelp
Visited 3/26/24. There's very few things in life better than a good breakfast sandwich. And wow was this one up there. Definitely prepare for a potential line but they have the system here down so they move tables pretty fast. My mom and I got the bacon egg and cheese biscuit and the biscuit was what made it. Slightly crumbly with the perfect top, this gigantic biscuit made my morning a great one. Bonus points for great hot sauce options (they make their own). If I were to come again, I would potentially go "more adventurous" and do fried chicken in lieu of bacon but dang that his was good. If I'm ever back in Asheville you best believe this will be my first stop.
google avatar

Rachel K.

Yelp
So yummy! This is a very worthy breakfast spot. The biscuits are amazing. I mean it's in the name, so I should have been expecting it, but wow. My biggest regret is that I didn't realize they had a whole CONDIMENT BAR OF JAMS AND BUTTERS AND SPREADS FOR THE BISCUITS. I will live with that regret for a while, because they looked amazing haha. Don't be like me - locate the condiments haha. The eggs and pimento cheese grits I got were also delicious. The interior decor features lots of cats, which was a delightful added bonus!
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
Here in town for the weekend, so of course we had to try biscuithead! When we pulled up, the line was out the door but that's to be expected! It moved very fast, honestly. The food came out equally as quickly. The main complaints were just how salty the side ham was (I swear I need a gallon of water now) and how our different flavored coffees tasted exactly the same. But other than that - the food was great! Service was excellent. Small dining area but people are in and out so quickly, that it doesn't seem to really pose much of a problem - at least this am it didn't. Favorite part: the side fruit plate was actual fruit and not the filler melon/honey dew.
google avatar

Jasmine N.

Yelp
Food: the filthy animal and full breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, fried chicken, and a biscuit. Everything was very delicious. The chicken was the only thing that we thought was ok. But the biscuits are to die for. Fluffy inside and crunchy on the outside. I also got an extra side of potatoes which were ok. But their gravy and biscuits is chefs kiss. I got a lavender latte and my husband got a hot penny cup coffee. It was delicious. They have a jam bar for your biscuits!! Everything made there and you can TASTE IT. So good. Service: we got there around 10am. Long lines that run outside the building. roughly a 30 minute wait. Quick order at the counter, food came out super fast. We waited maybe five minutes? Super quick. Ambiance: superb cute. The bathrooms are adorable. I've attached some pictures. Everything is cat themed. The tables have pictures of cats, everything is kitty cat! Loved it. Everything is clean and smells good. There's neighborhood art on the walls from elementary kids. So thoughtful and different. The vibe is really nice in there. I do recommend coming here. The experience is different and they have a really nice menu and good coffee. Will definitely come again the next time we're in NC.

Bri N.

Yelp
Food was great! Biscuits were huge and nice and fluffy. Small space, but service was quick. You order at the counter then they bring the food out.

Yelp
Totally freakin' AMAZEBALLS! This is all you need to know. Go there, eat the Mimosa Fried Chicken Biscuit. You are very welcome.
