Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa

A group of us visited the spa last week to celebrate a special birthday. We had a wonderful time. The facilities are amazing, hot tub, sauna and pool were really lovely. All the staff were outstanding, so friendly and helpful. The treatments were amazing and delivered in a bespoke thoughtful way. We truly had a special day and it now will be a fabulous annual treat for a great group of friends. Thank you all so much, we can't wait to be back.

Lovely hotel with beautiful grounds and just a 10mins Uber ride from the warminster train station. When you are talking about warmth, presence, and eloquence, this beaut could be a show stopper once the spa is completed👌🏽 The visit was short but really nice, though a wet day but it didn't stop the radiance of this hotel. Viewed a few of the rooms and had a lovely lunch meal with some sweet desserts that were just perfect. It has a homey vibe, the restaurant was well laid out and I loved the wine cellar though I don't drink wine lol. Nice structure 🤗 The outbuilding where some of the rooms are is very pretty, amazing landscape, loads of parking and a walk along the grounds is beautiful 😍 They have their own growing space where they grow their roots, lovely flowers etc The spa construction is ongoing and looks like it will be a brilliant addition to the hotel. There are 2 annexed buildings that would be great spaces in the summer for outdoor events, meetings and away days. The staff were welcoming and relaxed whic gives a chic vibe! Love it. It's about 40 minute drive to Bath Spa and the city centre. I would recommend if you want to come away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! ❤️

We had a wonderful stay at Bishopstrow House. The gardens and house are gorgeous, with really eclectic decor and so much interesting stuff to look at. The room was beautiful with all the amenities you would want and a really comfy bed. The spa was very nice, albeit tired in the pool area - but they are currently refurbishing so hopefully they will address this. The food was excellent - and they were very accommodating of my veganism. And finally, the service was second to none - from the moment of booking through to final check out, nothing was too much trouble. We we definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at the Bishopstrow Hotel and couldn’t recommend it more. From the moment we arrived, Ella at reception provided outstanding service, and the entire team were incredibly attentive — they genuinely couldn’t do enough for you. The food was first class, with the blue cheesecake dessert being an absolute highlight. Our room was beautiful, the spa treatments were exceptional, and Elise, our therapist, was truly amazing. We were celebrating my mum’s 80th birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and make the occasion feel extra special. We made some amazing memories and are so thankful to the whole team. We will definitely be back.

We've just spent 2 nights at the Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa and can highly recommend it. From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly and taken to our fabulous room which had everything we could wish for. All areas of the hotel are beautifully decorated and presented along with a lovely log fire to create a cosy atmosphere. We ate in the Garden Grill on both nights and we're very impressed with all our dishes and the fab wine list. Every member of staff was friendly and professional and did all they could to make our stay memorable. There's a well equipped spa and pool here too which offers a variety of treatments. Given the overall quality of everything about this place, we thought it was very good value for money. After our experience we'll definitely be returning.

Booked Christmas package for a family bonding and get away. Couldn't recommend it more! Unbelievable experience, amazing staff. Beautiful roomy rooms for the entire family and incredible bathrooms. Really made us feel at home and especially our hound. He had his own bed, stocking, gift box, bowls and towels. Set in the countryside but not too far away from civilisation. Incredible spa and pools. All made use of the facilities.

Great weekend birthday getaway to surprise my mom. The hotel is quintessential English and beautiful; so stairs and no elevator. Food was delicious and well presented no matter time of day, attention to detail was impeccable. The staff are welcoming and professional - special shout out to Ella for the extra help she gave us- the people really make a this place stand out. Spa is a little 'tired' in places but still very enjoyable. Definitely recommend!

There’s a reason Bishopstrow gets such glowing reviews: it’s a lovely place with great facilities, fantastic food and attentive staff. Having spent many happy hours there in the past, it was the obvious choice when it came to booking somewhere to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It’s not the kind of place you can afford to visit regularly, so I was very pleased when I found a voucher for a spa experience with lunch and full use of the facilities. It wasn’t cheap, but my wife was very happy and we looked forward to booking our special day. Anyone with kids and a busy job will understand that it’s sometimes difficult to find the time to take a day to yourself, and so the weeks went by until one day I checked the voucher and discovered it had expired. I should have checked the date much earlier, and although I was frustrated with myself, I was confident that Bishopstrow could help and, even if the specific terms of the original voucher couldn’t be honoured, I was hopeful at least that a compromise could be reached whereby I could rebook something with the credit, or perhaps receive a partial refund. Sadly, the treatment we received from Bishopstrow, especially the General Manager, was extremely disappointing. He was breathtakingly dismissive of the situation. Even though I held my hands up and took responsibility for the error (and explained that I understood if the voucher itself could no longer be honoured) he refused to help, eventually (after some pleading on my part) offering us a paltry 10% discount on our next booking. He was happy for a loyal Bishopstrow customer to lose hundreds of pounds of hard-earned money over what was essentially an honest mistake. I didn’t expect such mercenary, disdainful treatment from Bishopstrow. Truly disappointing. Fortunately, there are plenty of other excellent spa hotels in the local area to choose from.

Went here over Christmas time and loved it! Everything was brilliant. The staff were lovely and the room was incredible. Very dog friendly and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend!

Well, reception was not here at check-in. No one has helped at the bar. The first person to be helped after being here for 20 minutes is another couple that just walked up.
