**A Sweet Stop in Taiping – Bismillah Cendol"" A trip to Taiping would feel incomplete without a refreshing stop at Bismillah Cendol. Tucked near the iconic St. George’s Institution, this humble stall has been serving locals and travelers alike since 1993. With more than three decades of heritage behind it, Bismillah has become more than just a spot for dessert—it’s a Taiping institution in its own right. What makes the experience memorable isn't just the cendol itself—though the silky green jelly, fragrant coconut milk, and thick, smoky gula Melaka are reason enough to come back. It’s also the array of snacks on offer: crispy fritters, savory bites, and pulut-rich variants that pair beautifully with the iced treat. Everything is served with the kind of warmth and care that feels like home. In a rapidly modernizing town, it’s places like Bismillah that hold onto the soul of Taiping’s street food legacy. I truly hope the younger generation takes time to savor these gems—not just for the taste, but for the stories and traditions they carry. Appreciate you stopping by! For more travel tales, hidden spots, and behind-the-scenes bites from places like this, hop over to my profile — the journey continues there.

Dropped by Bismillah Cendol in Taiping recently and tried their cendol kacang pulut. The taste was pretty good – the balance of sweetness and the richness of the milk was just right, not too overwhelming. The portion was decent, and everything came together nicely in terms of texture and flavor. It’s also convenient that they accept QR code payments, which made the whole experience smoother. Overall, it’s a solid spot if you’re craving a refreshing bowl of traditional cendol in Taiping.

The cendol its self… not bad, but texture not like fresh chewy cendol like in Penang mainland. Still this is the prefer cendol in Taiping to me. Rojak is ok, but wish their fritters and tofu is more "fresh", sauce is ok.

4 yummy pasembur and 2 cendol @RM23.20. pasembur's portion isn't huge but for a RM4.50, it is pretty good! The cendol isn't Too sweet and the kidney bean is nicely done and big in sizeee.

Dropped by at Cendol Bismillah before heading back home. It was weekday + Alhamdulillah there was a street parking and plenty seats available when we arrived here. Unfortunately, the abang that sells laksa wasn't around 😕 Used to go on weekend + there would be tables arranged outside the shop. Decided to order cendol biasa + cendol jagung. As usual, the taste never failed to impress us. The taste was balanced + not overly sweet. Ordered pasembor biasa + I didn't like it. The kuah was cair + something was missing. Overall, a good place to stop by if you want to try its cendol. Kalau ada rezeki, you should try the laksa too! Worry not as they offer cashless payment 🤗

Love the cendol here. Always come to Taiping but haven't tried this place before, took the chance during CNY and really regretted that I haven't tried it sooner. The cendol portion is generous compared to their price. Ordered pasembur and instantly fall in love with their fried fritters. Really like that its really crispy and tasted the fried onion. In my opinion, its better that the other option in Taiping based on my recent visit.

Good cendol with sufficient gula Melaka sweetness. I added the corn and red beans. The corn had the hard shells in it which was annoying. Red beans were mushy and good. Overall a pretty good cendol.

Lots of tables and chairs, and parking in front. Had the 3 combo put, kacang, jagung. Not too sweet, just right for my taste.
