Absolutely divine experience. This is what coffee should be! The environment is chic and elegant, the barista was sweet and incredibly talented - look at those stacks! The wait time was minimal. OH and the pastries were life-altering! I want to know exactly how to make pastries like that! So happy we stopped by! (If you are bothered by pictures of scantily-clad women, there are many here. But it is French, so it’s chill)

Brittany M.

Google
I didn’t eat here, but enjoyed an iced latte on the front patio. I loved the walkthrough book case at the entry. The staff was very friendly. I ordered my coffee then she brought it to me when it was ready. Coffee was delicious. Highly recommend checking it out!

Aliceya T.

Google
Felt like a cute french cafe! Would have never thought this place existed. You can tell the owner tries to elevate the atmosphere with luxury decor and drink options named after luxury fashion icons.

Google
Beautifully refurbished turn-of-century 2 story in which Bisou has the 1st floor. Quiet and calm set the mood.. Excellent pastries, coffee, teas and other novelty drinks. LOVE THIS PLACE!

Tamara C.

Google
I got the cafe au lait and two pastry things. The food and drink were incredible, and the presentation was gorgeous. The inside of the café was pristine but a little too posh for me. I didn't feel like I could relax there. I ate my pastry outside on the patio, though, and that was delightful. I would absolutely come back!

Karli Van A.

Google
We had a lovely experience at this cute, cozy, and elegant French coffee shop! The shop's white and black decor create the perfect atmosphere for a date or friend get together! We ordered the spice cake and the almond croissant with our drinks. The staff warmed them up for us, and both were delicious. Their drinks come in 8 or 12 oz sizes. Expect to spend around 6 bucks per drink and per pastry.

Kelsey N.

Google
Thought the pricing was really reasonable for the upscale vibes. Surprising amount of seating considering how tiny it looks from outside. Wish my croissant was a little fresher and warmer but overall would def recommend this place for a work meeting or girls outing.

If you want to feel like you’re having coffee in Paris this is your KC go to! Every detail is adorable 🩷

Yelp
What a cute Kansas City gem!!! I got their grilled smores latte off their autumn menu and a chocolate croissant. The baristas were so nice and the ambiance was lovely. I was obsessed with decor both inside and out!
google avatar

Nisha J.

Yelp
Stopped in for coffee and pastries and was very impressed! The decor, ambiance is inviting and relaxing. Lattes were delightful and biscuits amazing. Add to your coffee rotation list today!

Yelp
Bisou is a pretty and classic coffee shop with simple but modern style interiors. It offers all day breakfast items, bakery items, and a basic coffee and tea along with alcoholic drinks menu. The location is not the best because it is right next to the freeway but once you step inside the small area it feels like you are somewhere fancy - EU style. The outdoor seating is lovely, with a white building behind it, black painted windows, and pretty pink peony plants all around, making it a nice and refreshing place to hangout. Inside, the space is small with four or five tables outer side of the shop and a bookshelf with various book genres. As you go in, you will find the coffee counter and some more tables for seating. I enjoyed my time here, looking at the decor and fine atmosphere. I had a cafe latte, a London Fog tea with vanilla syrup, and a slice of cinnamon bread. The drinks and bread tasted okay, but nothing special. The service was fast and the staff was very sweet and kind. I would still suggest this place to everyone more for its atmosphere than the food and non alcoholic drinks. This place is definitely adding charm to the area and I hope to see more businesses like this open nearby. I give it 4/5 just for the ambiance.

Yelp
This spot gives French cafe vibes! Outdoor and indoor seating. Lattes, drip and more types of coffee served. Milk alternatives and gf food options. Pastries, breakfast burritos and macarons at just a few of the food options. Seasonal coffee specials. I ordered the orange latte. It was like a dreamsicle. It was delicious. My only criticism was that my latte was warm. Not hot. I also ordered a drip coffee. Again. Warm. Not sure it this is a one time thing or if it is normal, but I'll come back and try it again. My friend ordered the matcha strawberry something. It was served iced. She said it was delicious. It's a really super cute spot on the Westside/crossroads. Street parking is challenging but there's a surface lot under the highway across the street. Service was efficient.
google avatar

Yelp
Obsessed with this place! Not only is it so cute and charming inside but the food and drinks are actually good. Every coffee I've had here has been good but I have to call out the orange chocolate latte. Holy crap so unique and delicious. It's reminiscent of those chocolate oranges that were popular years ago. The cinnamon roll was also one of the best I've tried in the city. Can't wait to try more things here!

Yelp
An adorable coffee shop off the beaten path in the westside neighborhood off southwest boulevard, located on Jefferson street tucked away from busy traffic. The outside is charming with pretty pink flowers and a black and white color scheme. The inside is even cuter with Parisian fashion elements everywhere and adorable bistro tables. The menu changes with the seasons and when I was there they were in between summer and fall so, of course, I opted for a fall pastry and a summer drink. The drink I chose sounded so unique and tasted even better than it read on the menu, the drinks are all themed after designers so, mine was aptly named the Prada Colada Latte and had notes of pineapple and coconut. The actual description was espresso, pineapple juice and coconut cream and it tasted like a tropical vacation, the sweet notes of pineapple and coconut balanced out the deep bitter espresso, I was utterly in shock how well these flavors worked together. The scone I went with was a pumpkin one that wasn't too sweet and instead took the earthy notes of pumpkin with a touch of warm spice, the best part of the scone was the texture that came from the pumpkin seeds (or pepitas) that were sprinkled throughout. There is no doubt in mind I will be back to Bisou and if you are a coffee shop connoisseur and haven't been here you are truly missing out!
google avatar

Azile Y.

Yelp
The good: LOVE the music! I was bopping to the 70s disco/funk for the 2+ hours I worked there. Good times! I also really liked my "Prada colada" espresso, which is one of their summer specials. The not so good: I asked if the yummy looking cardamom bun I saw was in fact, a cardamom bun. Yes! I was told. Alas, two bites confirmed for me that there was zero cardamom in the bun. When I took it back to the counter she told me that it was a cardamom bun, and asked if I wanted a box for it. I think a refund or a replacement treat would have been the right move, but really people- there was NO cardamom in the bun. I declined the box and the treat went to waste. It's just not what I was in the mood for. Also I told her that I'd prefer a glass for my drink since I'm avoiding single use plastic... she gave me a glass, and also a plastic straw. This place is upscale, I have to think they can do better than plastic straws here. I think this place has potential, I may try again some day.

Yelp
Great coffee shop if you are looking for a cool vibe in KC. The service is fast and friendly! We didn't have the food this time but for sure coming back to have some!
google avatar

Amanda P.

Yelp
Okay, needing a sexy coffee shop with a French twist AND they have drink-drinks!! I took my laptop, grabbed a croissant and cup of coffee and enjoyed the hustle around me in the cute coffee shop. Definitely put this on your list of must-stops!
google avatar

Jade H.

Yelp
What a vibe and hidden gem of KC! My friend and I went over the weekend for a Saturday brunch and absolutely loved the environment. The weather was nice enough we could sit on the patio :) Coffee was incredible and they have alternative milks. The snacks were good, I just wish they had some larger dishes. Staff was very friendly! Thanks Bisou!

Yelp
A little slice of Europe in KC! This spot is tucked in away in a house making it feel like you're at a European cafe despite being so close to downtown and the highway. The outdoor patio area is ideal for sitting back and truly savoring the drinks and pastries in the sun. A great way to spend a morning enjoying the experience of coffee and pastries. We had the pan au chocolate and a lemon lavender shortbread, both incredible! Their pastry counter is gorgeous to look at and the taste lives up to the look. Loved the decor as well including the bookshelf wall. Overall a coffee place you want to come to spend time with friends/family or bring a book to sit back and truly enjoy the experience!
google avatar

Tamia L.

Yelp
On the Westside near La Bodega, a cafe sous le pont, it's got stylish Parisian artsy vibe including the music. You could definitely relax, work, take up a good book here. You wouldn't know it was there unless you sought it out! My croissant was flaky, crispy with the drizzle of chocolate.. heavenly! All pastries were made this morning! My family enjoyed their selection quiche which blended fillings capture your tastebuds and cheddar biscuits that was crisp yet moist and tender. Service was extremely personable, speedy and pleasant! Loved the personal touch of a seahorse on the hot chocolate too!

Yelp
Bisou is still a somewhat new face in a bustling coffee space in KC, but I really appreciate how they set themselves apart with a real Parisian atmosphere. When I stopped in for a coffee and pastry, while I knew sort of where Bisou was located, I was a little surprised to find it in an area near the entrance ramp to I-35 that is often overlooked. In some ways it's really nice to find that part of town being utilized, and in other ways - like how overflow parking leads you under the interstate, it's not so great, as even on a well lit summer morning parking my car there did give me a bit of a pause. All of that aside Bisou delivers on atmosphere, coffee, and pastries (provided by the iconic Blackhole). I really enjoyed my time there, and I'm sure I'll be back as it's a solid place to visit with folks or take a business meeting. Though, I would caution that the patio gets full sun in the morning so in the summer seating indoors would be at a premium.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
Such a fun European inspired coffee shop with the best strawberry matcha I've had in the area! They have outdoor and indoor seating to meet up with friends, coworkers, and family. There were a few people working as they offer free WiFi also. The strawberry croissant was flaky and delicious! The matcha was made fresh and tasted great. They have a few different sweet and savory treats on the menu. Parking is located on the street or across the street under the bridge.

Yelp
As others have accurately pointed out, the vibes are on point here. It's got a slightly upscale yet relaxed Parisian feel, and I feel like it adds another option to the Westside area. I really appreciate the effort on the big outdoor patio, but it just so happens to be positioned on a frontage road to I-35 highway, so it's quite loud if you choose to sit out there. Fortunately the inside has lots of seats in both a front and back room. I would call it cozy, but it was frigidly cold with A/C blasting on the day I was there. I got a simple drip coffee and had to pause at the $5.50 price tag for a cup of coffee, however it turned out to 1) taste incredible and 2) have a free refill offered when I asked, so it's ultimately worth it for a caffeine fiend like myself. They also have one of my favorites: Blackhole Bakery pastries. While I skipped them this time, I wouldn't pass them up if I were you. I work remote and like to bounce around to various spots to try them out, so the likelihood of me being a regular here is quite low. However, I enjoyed seeing what it's all about and love to have more quality options in town.

Yelp
Stopped in this morning with a friend to Bisou - and wow! What a cute cute cuuute atmosphere. Very creative. They had just the right amount of options on the menu, service was quick and drinks were perfectly made. I had a pumpkin donut with a hot chai latte. Will definitely remember this place for other dates!
google avatar

Matthew J.

Yelp
This is a small little boutique coffee shop that is upscale. Service in the place is top notch with a very friendly staff that will bring your coffee out to the patio. The patio is very welcoming and has stressed the details. Definitely worth a stop!
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Such a cute spot! I got a vanilla cappuccino and a strawberry danish and it was amazing!! I was worried I wasn't going to find parking but they had a separate parking lot with enough parking. Will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Brittany C.

Yelp
Beautiful coffee shop with an elegant feel. Came later in the morning which shame on me because they only had one pastry left. Make sure to come early if you want good pickings on food options. Coffee was great. Outdoor seating was nice but a little loud with the highway being so close. They've done a wonderful job creating a beautiful place to sip delicious coffee.
google avatar

Javier B.

Yelp
This hidden gem of a coffee shop is both unique and aesthetic--perfect for those Instagram-worthy pictures. It has an elegant, upscale vibe that makes it stand out. On my first visit, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and setup; it feels like the kind of place where you can settle in, get some work done, or read a book while soaking in the quiet. The pastries looked absolutely delicious, and even though I didn't try any this time, I'll definitely be back to give them a taste. The staff was very friendly, which made the experience even better.
google avatar

Josephine C.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee shop. They had decorated the interior nicely for the holidays and in general it was well organized. The staff were friendly and the sugar cookie latte was delightful! The bacon and cheddar quiche was very good and I got one of the pastries, which I believe had cardamom and a honey glaze. I could have sat in the coffee shop all day. It is very quaint and has ample parking right across the street under the overpass. Looking at the other pastries they had, I would for sure go back to try one of them. They also have very good mochas.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
Cute little spot for coffee and small (or big) bites! The outdoor patio looked like a very cute place to sit and enjoy a slow coffee and pain au chocolat, we visited at a time they were pretty busy, so we sat inside. It was a pleasant time inside or out, plenty of sunshine for indoors! The drinks had cute chic names, I got the Versace gold (which was a golden milk--turmeric--latte) and they had an option without espresso. Lots of yummy drink options, and pastries and breakfast food. My hubs had a breakfast burrito, it was substantial! I had a pain au chocolat and it was so flaky and full of chocolate. Our friends got a lavender latte (which was supposed to be a vanilla orange latte, but she chose to stick with the drink since it was tasty), Berry latte (however he said he couldn't taste berries in it at all), a quiche, biscuits and gravy, and cinnamon roll. All the food was highly enjoyed! Very cute little bookstore area where you can buy a book to enjoy with coffee as well.

Yelp
Kansas City's newest coffee shop: Bisou. And everyone is going ga-ga over the bougie, Euro-inspired interior design. Tucked into the Westside just off Southwest Blvd, near La Bodega and the Ferris Wheel. It sits below the owner's Beauty Salon, Second Story, and features: Coffee from Maps Coffee & Chocolate, Burrito Tortillas from San Antonio Market (Vegetarian options only), and pastries from Blackhole Bakery. With all the hype, I would recommend getting there early to be sure to snag a pastry.
google avatar

Christina P.

Yelp
What a great little spot! Bisou is a newly opened coffee shop just off I35 and Southwest Boulevard. Located on Jefferson Street, the shop is cozy, warm, and charming. They have a cute little patio in the front for warmer days and adequate seating inside. Parking was not too difficult to find either. We enjoyed a matcha latte and a cappuccino. Drinks were served with a smile and a hazelnut truffle. They also offer a small variety of pastries. Bisou will be on my regular rotation from here on!
google avatar

Sharon K.

Yelp
Bisou is a charismatic coffee shop located near the Crossroads district! As you arrive, you are presented with a beautiful patio area. The interior design of the coffee shop is curated in a very elegant, European way. The lady that took our order was very sweet and friendly as well. They offer a good selection of coffee and pastry items. We ordered the affogato. Highly recommend! The espresso itself was rich and smooth. It melted with the scoop of vanilla bean ice cream very well. Not only did it taste great, but it was also presented beautifully. Beyond the coffee menu, there are also a selection of pastries. We tried the pumpkin pastry. I enjoyed the light pumpkin and spice flavors. Will definitely come back for another visit to try their other coffee drinks.
google avatar

Nora F.

Yelp
The prettiest patio in the city! It's not a huge space inside but the dreamy patio is a great add on. We got a few pastries and drinks. I would try different pastries next time but overall great experience, patience staff and fast service!
google avatar

Maggie C.

Yelp
Very aesthetically pleasing spot for coffee. Their menu is small, and maybe they can make other beverages that aren't on the menu. I kept seeing matcha lattes on their socials, but it wasn't on the menu, so I didn't think to order it. They have pastry items as well, but nothing that was gf. Plenty of seating available in case you need to work.
google avatar

Jordan K.

Yelp
Funky, classy, fresh -- not sure how to quite describe Bisou, but I love everything about it! French-inspired and not your traditional American coffee menu, I'd highly suggest asking a barista for advice or trying something you typically wouldn't. This space is so cool! I love everything about the Westside neighborhood, and Bisou totally embodies it. Great new spot!
google avatar

Ralphie S.

Yelp
I first attempted to visit Bisou in late May, but the packed patio and people waiting to enter caused me to keep on driving although it piqued my interest even more on what the buzz was all about. My visit today on Independence Day was perfect, no line and just a few customer at 11am. i understand the buzz - small and quaint space in an old west-side home, charming and simple european decor and vibe, indoor and outdoor seating, extremely welcoming baristas, great pastry selection and oh yes... a solid caffeinated beverage. I sipped my cappuccino on the patio for a brief spell before having to leave and finish it on the road and I shared my key-lime tart from Enchante' later in the day with my wife. Wonderful. With the "fancy" vibe, I was expecting maybe a bit of elitism at the counter, but not even slightly... best barista experience that I've had in recent memory. Zero complaints, see ya soon.
google avatar

MorningSta R.

Yelp
Espresso was very aromatic. Somewhat floral flavor in the beans. The vibes are immaculate. Quaint and chic. Even the barista has an air of sophistication. Love the cheeky European photos on the walls.
google avatar

Jolene M.

Yelp
Favorite cafe in KC. Step out of the west side into Europe. Literally transcending. Amazing coffee and new pastries that are made in house. Fresh and tasty. A must visit KC! Great people and beautiful location. The attention to details.
google avatar

Chelsey V.

Yelp
Small space but very cute! Get there early or you won't be able to enjoy sitting inside or out. They have local made pastries that are delicious but again, get there early for the best bites! Parking is easy and coffee is delicious! Staff is super friendly and helps you make the right decision.
google avatar

Tracy G.

Yelp
I loved visiting this super trendy coffee shop just on the edge of Westside. It's renovated to be a modern, bright and open space with lots of seating and a beautiful outdoor patio. The baristas were familiar faces from the KC coffee scene and very talented in their craft, from what I saw. I went with a classic (if boring) option of a drip coffee. I was also tempted to try one of the pastries from Black Hole Bakery. It looks like a savory toad in the hole or some sort of popover, but it really was a sweet treat. The "yolk" was a candied apricot and the green "egg white" was a pistachio filling. Honestly, one of the best pastries I've ever had in KC! I'm hooked. Tip: get there early! I came in around 8am and it was nice and quiet, but by 10am it was PACKED... and this was a Thursday! I can only imagine how busy the weekends must be. Check it out, but understand there may be a wait or limited seating depending on time of day.
google avatar

Joanna S.

Yelp
Atmosphere is 10/10! So cute and felt like we weren't in KC. The pastries were out of this WORLD delicious. The apricot pistachio pastry pictured will live rent free in my head forever. Everything was great. Only thing is my chorizo burrito took a solid 20-30 minutes to come out but there's definitely grace as they haven't been open long and I'm sure are figuring some things out! All in all, I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Rachel J.

Yelp
What a beautiful coffeeshop! This vibe of Bisou truly makes you feel like you're in Europe. The decor is stunning and aesthetic. I tried the chocolate croissant and the iced caramel latte. Both were fantastic! The pastries are from Blackhole Bakery so truly a hit. I will 100% be returning to try more from the menu. I highly recommend to check Bisou if you are in the area!
google avatar

Morgan J.

Yelp
Very cute, French inspired coffee shop on the west side. I had a cappuccino and fruit pastry which were very delicious. A small, bright cafe that on a Monday had a lot of people studying or enjoy coffee by themselves. Very good for an intimate hang out. I brought my 9 month old mostly because I take her everywhere and the staff was very sweet and accommodating. Though because of the size I wouldn't recommend it as a kid friendly place for everyone. I would love to return with just myself or a friend! Their patio looks amazing and I can't wait to sit outside on a warm day.
google avatar

Tina H.

Yelp
Cute and cozy little coffee shop tucked in the west side! Super charming with outdoor patio seating. Seating inside is super limited and tiny- be aware. The baristas there are super friendly and helpful. The cinnamon roll was soo good, super moist and delicious! The iced vanilla latte with almond milk was just right- not too sweet (some other coffee shops makes it way too sweet) All in all, I really like this place! Their outdoor patio in the front is great - def would recommend!
google avatar

Michaela K.

Yelp
Had the pleasure of stopping into KC's newest cafe. Bisou's decor is absolutely stunning! The cafe serves up iced and hot coffees, pastries, and small eats. The baraistas we friendly and offered great suggestions. Bisou is a perfect spot to slow down and catch up with a friend over a coffee or to stop in a have a chic workday!
google avatar

Jordan B.

Yelp
A cute and quaint little crossroads coffeehouse with a European bisou to top it off (Bisou = kiss)! Arrived around 11am with a line out the door. The line moved fairly quickly. It isn't a large space so if you arrive in hopes of having a seat, arrive earlier or during a slower time. Great ambiance. Service was helpful. Coffee was tasty. Pastries seemed fresh. Will plan to visit again to sit outside on a nice day.
google avatar

Chalanna B.

Yelp
CHARMING!! Saw on instagram that they just opened this week and it's lovely! I got here a little late in the afternoon (only open until 2), and they were out of some of their food options. Got a hazelnut latte with warmed up chocolate croissant. Delish. Environment: although I see quite a few laptop folks here, the seats are not cushioned, so maybe a shorter work spot but definitely a cute treat spot. It has a European flair with the black and white brick exterior and cafe chairs. If they had been playing French cafe music, I think my heart would sing,
google avatar

Becki S.

Yelp
We found this hidden gem based on reviews when we were looking for a great cup of coffee in the area. I got some specialty latte of the day and my husband got a specialty iced coffee with a coconut flavor. Here me when I say it was the best latte I've ever had - the coffee flavor was amazing. We also had a plain and an almond croissant that were very tasty. It was busy late morning but we were still able to find a place to sit for our family of four. I would highly recommend this place if you're in the area.
google avatar

Paticia S.

Yelp
Absolutely adorable café in Kansas City. I was highly impressed by how cute this place looks. The highlight of my morning was definitely the goat cheese and rosemary biscuit. It was beyond delicious.
google avatar

Kim B.

Yelp
Most delicious latte!! Beautiful space inside and out. Was a little loud inside on a busy Sunday morning, but cannot wait to return on a weekday to sit, drink my latte, and read a book!
google avatar

Meredith S.

Yelp
Went for coffee today and had the cutest time! Love the space, the colors and light, the branding, the staff, and they made a killer iced brown sugar latte.
google avatar

Kalana M.

Yelp
didn't even try anything... the customer service i witnessed towards someone waiting for almost 5 minutes to be helped while they just had their own conversation right in front of him then to tell him they'll be with him in just a moment....that was enough to go check out a different place. not sure if i'll be back which is a bummer because it looks super cute inside and out, and i love the designs in the coffee.
google avatar

Li-Shin L.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee shop! The aesthetics are very minimalist and cozy. The staff is super friendly and the drinks are yummy!
google avatar

Sari C.

Yelp
This place is absolute perfection. From the decor, to the drinks and food and service, I would come back here any time! I love the outdoor seating area, which is great when the weather cooperates. I highly recommend going early in the morning or on a week day because they get packed on the weekends. We went on a Saturday around 9 am and waited in a line (not too long) but shortly after we ordered and sat down, the line was out the door and almost down the block. The pastries from are Blackhole Bakery, which is one of the best bakeries in KC! I don't recommend coming with a large group because there isn't that much seating that would work to sit everyone together. I think going by yourself or with one other is the perfect size. I will 100% be coming back.
google avatar

Baila D.

Yelp
Bisou is an adorable European-style coffee spot. We ordered a key lime pie and a chocolate croissant with our coffee, and everything was absolutely delicious. The key lime pie was definitely a standout. I would absolutely go there again.
