Always a popular place to go during the spring because the Sakura / Cherry blossom alley. Went here last year in the afternoon, it was a crowd. Went here again a few days ago in the morning, no crowds and was able to appreciate the blossoms more and take good pictures.

A huge area, covered with snow when we visited it in winter time. Walk in the alleys and find your piece...

Was there for the cherry blossoms. It’s magical. Though it’s not completely bloomed (or maybe the buds are destroyed due to the bad weather in between) yet due to the pertaining cold weather, it’s still beautiful.

Go for the cherry trees in late April. Photo is from Mid-late April, trees were almost there.

Yelp
There is definitely something about cemeteries in Denmark. They're beautiful and perfect for a stroll or a picnic, and so is this cemetery. This place lies a little bit further out from Copenhagen centrum, but can be reachable by 6A bus from Nørreport (get off at Bispebjerg Torv) and you can see the solid building of Grundtvig church looming across the park. Bispebjerg gets even more popular in the springtime when the cherry blossom trees bloom. These days they put a sign where the "kirsebæralleen" (cherry tree path) is, but just in case you miss the sign, it's way on the back left of the cemetery complex, near the burial chapel. This place is definitely worth going in the springtime.

Yelp
One of the largest cemeteries in Copenhagen, as beautiful as and much less crowded than Assistens cemetery. With many small paths, hidden corners, open lawns and lots of green and flowers in spring and summer it's perfect for a quiet walk, or for sitting on a bench and taking in the sun. Just please, show a little more respect than the people who use it as a toilet for their dogs - other peoples dead relatives lie buried here.

Yelp
What is it with Danes hanging out in cemeteries? Call it morbid, creepy, or whatever you will, but in the warmer months these places are packed with people who are not visiting a grave. Of course funerary services are the main purpose of this particular "park," but otherwise the most popular attraction is the path lined by cherry trees at the southwest end. Bring a blanket, drinks, and snacks so you and your friends can relax on the grass under the shade of blossoming cherry trees in the springtime. There is a kiosk on the corner of Smedetoften and Skoleholdervej just outside the cemetery; a valuable place to pick up that ice cream or a bottle of water. It is so peaceful and beautiful, so please keep it that way and don't get too rowdy. A bonus of hanging out here is the near-comical show of people taking hundreds of selfies to put on their Instagram. A word of warning: I have only been here once, so maybe it was a fluke, but the bathrooms were atrocious! Both the men and women's toilets were overflowing and just shameful. So plan ahead if you think you will need to use the facilities in the near future. (゜ロ゜;)

Yelp
Yay I AM a fan,. For this time of year (fall) it is so beautiful to take a stroll down the little paths surrounded by different kind of colorful trees at the church yard. The view is like a painting where you have the colorful nature with the reddish leaves and at the end on the top of the hill you can see Bispebjerg church (also known as Grundtvigs church). This big piece of a church, collected of yellow bricks, is a rare one of its kind cause it is raised in memory of Grundtvig: a pastor, a theologian, a teacher, a writer and even a politician for a while. Grundtvig lived in the 1800-hundreds in Copenhagen and is relatively unknown internationally, but he is one of the most influential people in Danish history. The church it self is worth a visit to this area. But there are also other reasons: Due to social media and sharing pictures this church yard became very famous because of its trees. So..There is a path located here with these Japanese Cherry trees, and during spring time when the trees blossom, people come from near and far to have glance at this extraordinary view. I am not able to describe the view with words, you have to experience it with your own eyes :) Even though I have lived in Copenhagen my whole life, I had the pleasure to see this view for the first time this spring. If you are in Copenhagen during spring time (or any other season for that matter) or if you live in Copenhagen you should definitely pay this place a visit.
