I had a nice time at Bistro 7. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. I had the steak frites, and my friend had the lollipop lamb. Both were tasty. The lamb is more so and would get it next time. The accompanying fries were cold and did not add to the entree. The hot chocolate specialty drink was delicious.

So to start off with, we had a giant party, about 30 of us, for an engagement dinner. I truly wish I got the name of the server because he was honestly fantastic. It honestly did not feel long at all for anything, not to sit, not to get drinks, not for our food either. The other staff and management were also super helpful. Originally we reserved for a party of 20 and they closed off the patio for us, once people started arriving the number kept going up and we no longer fit. They were super accommodating and got us more space. I’m not too sure how others felt so I can only speak about my experience but overall this was an excellent dining experience. My portion of the party got a spinach dip, 2 pizzas, a steak, and a surf & turf sushi. All of our meals came out quickly and in great quality. The only slight slight issue was there was no steak sauce :( but other than that, the steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. The sushi was honestly a 10/10, we wished we had ordered another one, it was the first thing to be finished. The spinach dip was also another 10/10, serving it with bread was quite new to me, however it made such a great addition. The pizzas were nice and crispy, do wish it had a bit more sauce but overall yum! I highly recommend this place… trust me get the sushi.

We live in Florida and saw an ad on TV featuring Bistro 7. We tried it on the night before we flew home from our vacation. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the lamb lollipops, green bean fries for appetizers. The American Burger, Chicken Picatta, Sea Bass and Bison Bolognese were our dinner features. All excellent. Highly recommend the lemon drop martinis. Service and atmosphere A+

Fabulous wine selections, appetizers and entrees. Happy hour appears to allow full menu options with 20% off!. 04/29/2025 update: thanks to recommendation from wonderful server Andrea, we tried the bison Bolognese preceded by a shared Cobb salad. Both were delicious! Have never had a bad meal here!

I expected burgers and got fine dining instead. We had a number of appetizers that were great and then the sea bass was amazing. I was only in Reno for a day or I would definitely have gone back.

It took me WAY too long to write this review but here it is :) We arrived about 10 minutes early on our reservation but they seated us right away. Our server, Megan, was incredible: always attentive but never ever overwhelming or intruding. Food was delightful: the brie potstickers were really good but the calamari were outstanding... careful though: they are really filling so consider that when ordering. Salmon and steak frites were perfect and dessert... was HUGE! Incredibly good but huge: Megan was able to figure out a way for us to take it home even though there was the ice cream!!

Had our Xmas party on a Tuesday evening and all our plates were delicious including the cauliflower and potatoes. Everyone loved the artichoke dip and surf and turf sushi roll. My sea bass was cooked perfectly as I asked, more on the rare side, the chef was great and servers friendly. Everyone was helping bring out all our food in a timely manner.Cowboy porterhouse steak and ribeye were perfectly cooked medium rare. The mudpie, creme brulee, and apple pie dessert were a wonderful finish to a wonderful meal. More on the higher end price wise but completely worth it.

We were so excited to try this restaurant are seeing all the reviews. The service and appetizers were great, the main dishes were a terrible disappointment. The comments in the last few months were spot on with soot covered food and poor flavors. We started with the calamari and seared tuna. They both had great flavor and were prepared very well. I ordered the salmon. Our waitress informed me that it will come out medium rare unless I would like it different. When it arrived, it was medium well. It was still acceptable, but not what was expected. The salmon had a pesto sauce on top that was delicious. Unfortunately the pesto was the only flavor coming from the fish. It was disappointing how little flavor the fish actually had. It was prepared on a cedar plank that was charred heavily and smeared the plate with soot and oils. I had to be sure I kept my mashed potatoes away from it. The mashed potatoes were a good consistency with some clumps but again, lacking any real flavor. It felts as if the kids food was an after thought. The chicken tenders were saturated in oil as if the oil temperature was too cold when they were dropped. The kids burger was an over sized bun with a skinny piece of beef inside. The fries were good though! The real disappointment was our broccoli. It was barely cooked and was COVERED in soot. It tasted like they rolled it around in the coals for a second and served it. Throughout our entire meal the dining area was filled with smoke from their fire oven. It felt as if the cooks couldn't get it under control. Raw smoke ruins the flavor of food. I let our waitress know that the food was disappointing and she simply said that she would let the cooks know. For the pricing and menu items listed at this restaurant, you would assume they would have everything figured out. $200 later I felt it was necessary to warn everyone else.

Yelp
Bistro 7 offered an outstanding dining experience that I can't wait to repeat! The moment we walked in, the cozy and welcoming ambiance immediately set the mood. The lighting was warm, and the atmosphere had just the right balance of energy and intimacy, making it perfect for a relaxing evening out. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our meal special. We started with the crispy calamari and a small clam chowder. The calamari was a standout--golden, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. The texture was spot-on, tender on the inside and delightfully crunchy on the outside, with a tangy dipping sauce that elevated every bite. The clam chowder was creamy and flavorful, packed with fresh clams and perfectly seasoned for a comforting start to the meal. For the main courses, my husband ordered the ahi tuna poke, and it was a showstopper. The cubed sushi-grade yellowfin tuna was fresh and beautifully paired with sesame oil, sesame seeds, and a guacamole mix that had just the right hint of spice from serrano peppers and green onions. The wonton chips for scooping added a fun and crunchy element, and the wasabi and sriracha sauces balanced the dish with heat and tang. As for me, I opted for the classic fillet steak, cooked medium rare as I requested. It was prepared beautifully--juicy, tender, and full of flavor, with just the right amount of sear on the outside. Paired with garlicky mashed potatoes, which were creamy, buttery, and rich with a perfect hint of garlic, the dish felt hearty and indulgent. My Moscow Mule was another highlight--refreshing, crisp, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of ginger kick. It tied the meal together beautifully. The prices felt fair for the quality of food, presentation, and overall experience. Bistro 7 clearly prioritizes attention to detail and customer satisfaction, and it shows in every aspect of the meal. Between the delicious food, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere, Bistro 7 is easily one of the best dining spots in the area. I highly recommend it for any occasion, and we'll definitely be returning to explore more of their menu!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I frequent here often, and you really can't go wrong. The previous two times we've visited have been for special occasions. The first being for a friends birthday, and most recently to get dinner with my parents on Christmas Eve. The atmosphere is nice, warm, and good for special occasions. We also enjoy date night here for the same ambiance. Although I will note that the night we came for the birthday party there was a table practically screaming which made it harder to converse at our table. I understand larger parties are loud, but respect is still necessary when in shared spaces. The food is great. I almost always start with a cup of their tomato soup. Although it's such a simple dish, it can usually be watery and flavorful. Here it is thick and delicious, one of the best I've ever had. We also adore their spinach and artichoke appetizer, that comes warm and with bread to scoop with. My mother is not one for anything green and was very skeptical of the name spinach artichoke dip, and even she thought it was delicious. They have a weekly specials list, including a vegetarian pasta. I almost always choose the vegetarian pasta special, and enjoy my option. Switching it up is also nice, but I do wish it would come with a cream sauce less- then I skip it. The pizza there is also yummy. I most recently tried the veggie pizza which came with great toppings. Service here can be hit or miss. There is a wonderful woman with a bunny tattoo who we have bonded with over our fur babies and she is wonderful. Other times it takes 30 minutes to get ranch. But overall it's okay. We will always be back!

Yelp
I met up with friends last night at this restaurant. It was t a busy evening for them but the vibe was still positive We ordered various appetizers and some wine. The surf and turf sushi roll didn't disappoint. We also ordered the calamari, deviled eggs and meatballs. All delicious. The flourless chocolate torte was amazing!

Yelp
As I was escorted into the restaurant to meet some folks for dinner, I noticed the wood fired oven blazing away. The warmth and aroma were welcoming. The atmosphere was upscale, classy, spacious and romantic. The menu was varied with vegetarian and vegan options. Local growers and vendors are supported. The house salad was plentiful with a variety of green and purple leaves, cherry tomatoes, cucumber and more with the house vinaigrette. I had the Filet Mignon, a large portion, very tender and tasty on top of a roasted shallot Demi glacé. The mashed potatoes and vegetables were seasoned deliciously. Others in the party had chicken piccata and Miso Crusted Chilean Sea Bass. All were presented beautifully with ample portions. For dessert, I had the chocolate mousse, light and flavorful. The service was professional, proficient and personable. On the way out, I saw the board stating there is a daily happy hour available. I checked the specials and I shall return for that soon.

Yelp
I've noticed this restaurant a long time ago since it is tucked down the side of the road going down South Virginia. I was finally able to try it a few days ago and now it will stay on my list of restaurants to return to. The ambiance is a bit more upscale, but is still laid-back for jeans or a casual look. The upscale vibe translates to their dishes as well. They offer classic steaks such as filet mignon and ribeyes, but they also have several bison dishes which I found unique. I had the White Truffle Shells n Cheese without any of the toppings. This is the fancy adult version of Mac and cheese, which I found not too overwhelming like other truffle dishes. It was perfectly balanced with the creamy cheese. However the additional toppings can go as high as an additional $9 for chopped chicken, which is why I opted out. We also had a classic pizza which was large and perfect for sharing. One thing that makes Bistro 7 special from many is that they use local ingredients in their dishes to maintain the freshness and quality. Knowing this, I'm tempted to try the bison dishes next time.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour before meeting friends for dinner. They had an extensive selection of wines by the glass and cocktails, and a decent list of drafts (many of which are local). Happy hour runs daily, which I always appreciate. The space is fairly large with an upscale design. It was somewhat dark inside the bar area, but felt appropriate (intimate, comfortable). Our bartender wasn't the most attentive, but she did welcome us not too long after we sat and was friendly. I believe she was new, possibly her first day or week so I'm not really judging service this round. I'd like to come back for food, it's been recommended by friends and there appear to be a lot of seafood options (for a pescatarian) as well as gluten-free options!

Yelp
Great service and wonderful ambiance! It's really pretty inside so it would be great for a lunch or a date night. I dined in for a late lunch and had the fish tacos. They weren't bad but I did find them lacking in flavor. That won't keep me away though. I'll definitely be back to try a new dish as I loved the atmosphere and I it server was incredibly friendly.

Yelp
We didn't have reservations and they took our party of seven right away! Beautiful and warm environment. A little loud with the background noise but we still had a great time and enjoyed a few appetizers like deviled eggs, Brie potstickers and margarita !

Yelp
Good food. Good wine. Good space. They have a good happy hour for food, cocktails, and wine. The items alternate on different days, but any day is a good time. I really appreciated the size of their wine list. There were a lot of options and a few of my favorites. And the staff were really nice and attentive, and they made sure we were offered a wide selection of treats.

Yelp
It was Christmas Eve, and the place was packed, so my expectations weren't high. On top of that, we were about 45 minutes early due to an unexpectedly brief church service. Teresa, the manager, went out of her way to seat us despite our designated table being occupied. Service got off to a slow start due to the rush, but Sarah picked up the ball and service was great. Food, as always was outstanding - steak frites was a preparation I'd not had before, and my wife's salmon and my daughter's ono were both excellent. Overall, a great experience. Despite the crowd, it was not noisy and ambiance was warm and great as always.

Yelp
Hands down, one of the best locally owned restaurants in Reno. I haven't been disappointed in anything I've tried on the numerous occasions coming here over the years. Recently I have stopped in for the Happy Hour - 20% off food, plus beer, cocktail and wine specials, available in the bar only. Be sure to get in because they fill up fast in the bar. They have a great cocktail menu and small plates to share if you don't want a full entree. Service has always been friendly and well done. The ambiance is beautiful. Even though you could come in with casual apparel, you could also dress up and have a lovely date night here. I have celebrated my birthday here, date nights, happy hour and just regular dinner outings. They are great for any occasion and even offer private event space. I love the brie apricot potstickers, the green bean "fries" and lamb lollipops to name a few starters that standout for me. If you're a dessert person, the butterscotch pudding is stunning - rich, but so good. I love it here and will continue to come for more years to come.

Yelp
Delicious bistro with some nice ambiance. My husband and I went on a lunch date, it was perfect. We ordered the Brie potstickers with apricot jam, two glasses of wine, and each got the blackened chicken sandwich. Everything was incredible! At the end of the meal there are complementary cookies. Nice touch. There is a full bar, bar seating, booths, and tables. Call ahead for large group reservations. Ample parking in the lot.

Yelp
I came to Bistro 7 with my mom on Mother's Day and we were big fans of everything we ordered! I got the chicken Caesar salad, she got the salmon, and we shared truffle fries. The chicken on my salad was seasoned and cooked perfectly, not your average Caesar salad! My mom loved her salmon as well and said it was packed with flavor and the salmon was super fresh. We both enjoyed the truffle fries that rounded out the meal. The service was great and all of the staff was so nice. We will definitely be coming back again!

Yelp
Service from Rai was great, she was very attentive! Atmosphere nice too! Went for early Happy Hour and the drawing card was $10 Justin. Their HH prices are 20% off regular menu. Think they need to add a value item like some other places do... such as reasonable sliders. I like that they offer HH every day they are open.

Yelp
Another hidden gem in Reno. You wouldn't know it was a restaurant from the outside bc it's tucked into a corner at a small shopping center. However, we were pleasantly surprised and so glad we gave it a try. The place was hopping with happy customers and wonderful staff. They created a great ambiance with creative metal bead dividers, separating the bar from the restaurant. The food was fantastic. We enjoyed the lamb lollipops, surf n turf deep fried rolls, Cesar salad, and the cheesecake desert special. We also sampled many creative cocktails, and chose our favorites but they were all great. The staff helped each other by serving appetizers and the main dishes. Our main server checked in with us consistently throughout the entire visit with enthusiasm and helpful suggestions, as we kept adding drinks and food to our meal. Overall, fantastic!

Gaius G.

Yelp
Great ambience, service was good, nice wine list. The food was inconsistent - some of it was fine like our pizza, but the chicken on the pasta was BURNED. As in - black, charred, and dried out. On the other hand, some of the food they serve is consistently really good (salmon, sea bass, steaks). Their salads are good - beet salad, market salad, but the portions are very small - if you pay 17.00 for a salad it should be a size that constitutes an actual meal. The service is good except that if you have more than 4 people apparently you will get an enforced 20% service charge (!!!??). This might make sense for large parties but 5 people is not a large party.

Yelp
My wife has been frequenting this place, but it was my first time. Quality/Quantity - Bison Bolognese - Pappardelle, our current favorite pasta. Good flavors, could not distinguish the bison in the sauce. And for sure, it was not enough for 3 to share. Yes, we thought we were NOT hungry... Special 24oz CAB porterhouse - Couldn't decide on the ribeye or this, as I have been eating all day today (if you are following)??? Not sure why, but I thought this was going to be bigger. 3 of us shared this and I am not sure if they were still hungry? I actually ate much more than I expected. I asked if the chef could cut for us, sadly no. So I took a picture of my poor cut/slice job, LOL. 1/2 lb. Bison Burger - Impressively my daughter finished this without help. Again I thought we were NOT hungry... Grilled Fish Tacos - Just okay, better with the salsa. Beaujolais Villages - Château de Varennes; not an expert, but did not feel I got all 6 ounces of the pour, see picture. The wine was good, and light as I expected. Many good wine choices, I might come back for this and Happy Hour. Atmosphere - Good size location. Cool decor. Semi private room, cool shade, curtain. Even the bathroom had cool decor, see picture. Bar seating is also available. Semi open kitchen. Open 6 days a week, see picture, Yelp, or website. Closed Sundays. Service - Good. Both team members were good. The bus girl is such a hard worker, getting us our drinks and more drinks, etc. I also saw her busing the nearby tables, again working so hard and fast. I should have gotten her name. Price - $138 + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2008.

Yelp
Much better experience since the last time I came here. Stopped by for a couple of glasses of wine while waiting for new tires to be put on my car and was pleasantly surprised by the warm greeting I received by the bar tender. Th place always had a nice ambiance, and pretty good food, but the service was wanting. This was the exact opposite experience I had. The server was pleasant, engaged in conversation and made sure I got what I ordered quickly. Explained the menu, in case I wanted food. Because of this, I will give the place another chance when looking for food.

Yelp
Yummy food and drinks again. Had a group of people tonight and love the happy hour menu if you can get there earlier

Yelp
Went here for an early lunch with friends. The restaurant was cozy and the service was quick and friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good bite with some interesting options if you're feeling adventurous

Yelp
Just an average American bistro. The price was vert fair especially since the sale of the food was upscale fresh buy in reality, although the presentation was nice, it wasn't that fresh or great, but it got the job done. The ambiance was confused on what it wanted to be. Good service and bar though. Probably wouldn't go again.

Yelp
Stopped in for happy hour and was not disappointed. Ordered the filet mignon, and a glass of Merlot. The mud pie dessert was delicious!

Yelp
Food here is solid I have to go back and try the steak! I had the fish tacos and they were awesome! I also tried the mac n cheese and enjoyed that very much as well They make an awesome lemon basil martini. The waiter was nice and checked up on us.

Yelp
So many great things to say here about Bistro 7. Decided to go here after a friend flew into town. Made a reservation for 6:30 and was seated without any issues. We were sitting at a table but saw the bar area also looked like a great place to sit. The service was on point, with a great waitress. The signature basil drink was great! Definitely try it. You won't be disappointed. Appetizers were fried green beans, pot stickers, and truffle fries. The truffle fries barely had a truffle taste; the pot stickers were tinny; I wasn't a fan. I would order the fried green beans again. The dipping sauce was delicious. I ordered truffle Mac and cheese with bacon, jalapeño, and chicken. It was epic! A lot of food, so the next day's lunch was fantastic. The rest of the table had pizzas. All was GONE. I'll be back here again for a nice relaxing dinner.
google avatar

Sean H.

Yelp
Restaurant was very warm and inviting. Our hostess, that sat us was extremely nice. Sarah, our waitress was fantastic. Started out with a special appetizer of frog legs, was very interesting but good. Could've used a little less breading. I had the 14 ounce ribeye. It was tender and delicious. My wife had the bison Bolognese, was excellent, and the Bolognese sauce was spot on. We would definitely come back again.
google avatar

Linda F.

Yelp
Great selections on the menu, like cedar plank pesto salmon, bison bolognese, chicken piccata. There are also pizza and sandwich option. The wine list is excellent, great selections and reasonable prices. Elegant but casual and comfortable decor. Service is friendly and well paced.

Yelp
Had the clam chowder this evening. Out of bounds!!! Chunks of bacon and the flavor on point!!! Compliments to the chef!!

Yelp
Little pricey but great food great service ...... it's the kind of place you go once or twice a month and try everything at least once on the menu. This is a real Cheif restaurant creative dishes with fresh ingredients. My first choice in Reno local restaurant

Yelp
Gayle and I enjoyed a nice lunch the other day with our friends, Jim and Marti. Based on the number of reviews here, I guess we've missed one of Reno's culinary hot spots. CONS - Their South Virginia Street location was hard to find, even with navigation. +/- - Uneven food choices. My grilled cheese sandwich with tomato bisque was excellent, while Jim and Gayle thought that their fish tacos were a bit dry and a little too "fishy". As Marti was talking a lot of the time, we're not sure how she felt about her slowly consumed Lamb Lollypops. - Some items seemed a bit pricey for a lunch menu. Dinner prices appeared to be more in line. PROS - Excellent, efficient, and helpful service. - Well appointed and attractive interior, conducive to conversation. - Attractive separate bar area. Hint: Happy Hour! - Very nice wine list, with excellent variety. - Free mini chocolate chip cookies at the front. - Extensive menu choices. Bottom Line: Close enough to 4 Stars and a definite return visit for dinner.

Yelp
I loved their Artichoke dip it's definitely the best one That I've had in a long time it tastes so fresh and it's so creamy and chunky my waiter was so nice and the drinks that we ordered were so delicious and strong we will definitely be coming back to this place
google avatar

Britt B.

Yelp
The entire food menu is discounted during happy hour. Most places offer a few items, but surprisingly, the entire menu is available. It was crowded, but the service was quick, and the bartender was very attentive. Excellent wine list as well. Enjoyed the evening and will be back.

Yelp
This place is always my go to for Happy Hour, and it never disappoints. I've had the majority of food items on the Happy Hour menu, and can say they have all been delicious and well executed. The Surf & Turf Tempura Roll, Brie Pot Stickers, the Calamari, Deviled Eggs and the Hummus are always delightful. I tasted a couple of beers, the two mediocre beers convinced me to go with wine, and their wine list is exceptional. On the upside they have rotating taps, and like most restaurants they could stand to rotate them more often. Maybe they have a lackadaisical liquor rep? One other noteworthy item is their Pizza is a thin cracker crust, which I personally find to be no bueno. I was able to take a Lyft there from my house for 13.99 as they are right in the middle of Reno.

Yelp
Our senior group ate there last night--my first time at B7 but certainly not my last! I was very happy with our seating near the rear .Taking my DIL's recommendation, I ordered the cedar-planked pesto crusted salmon and it was fantastic! Probably the best salmon I've had in quite a while, even though I'm not a big pesto fan. We also ordered the green bean fries and the calamari for the table, both were very tasty and enough to go around. I recognized our excellent waitress Lila from other restaurants and will be sure to request her again. Their menu is intriguing and I can't wait to explore it! Brie potstickers and the tomato bisque soup are probably among my next selections if I can have room for them with the salmon, now my go-to entree. The wine list is as good as mentioned in other reviews and decently priced. Being a diabetic, I will have to refrain from desert but the list was attractive and the ones that ordered the crème brûlée spoke highly of it, If tiramisu was on the list I might not be able to resist, but I was saved by its omission.

Yelp
Bistro 7 is truly a gift to the gluten free community. Not only do they have a very large gluten free menu, but they are extra diligent about cleanliness to avoid cross contamination. I truly appreciate the top notch service that we always receive here! This is my favorite spot for date night with the hubby. A cozy booth, cold cocktail, and warm ambiance. It never gets too loud in here either! Note: Don't sleep on the butterscotch pudding dessert. The smoked maldone sea salt elevates this to WOW status.

Yelp
Food was very good. Service and ambience excellent. We've been here several times and will definitely go back.

Yelp
My wife and I went here for dinner and had a wonderful experience. We got the green beans as a appetizer. Fantastic! Then I had the cedar plank salmon which was really good and such an unique way to cook it. It stayed hot for a long time! My wife had the blackened chicken sandwich and it was very good. I would definitely come back here for dinner. Server was very nice and attentive.
google avatar

Yelp
Our first time here and we loved it! It's a beautiful venue - swanky inside. We started out with drinks and shared the calamari appetizers - which was excellent - very tender and no tentacles - good dipping sauce. I ordered the mushroom and pepperoni pizza which was hot and cheesy. Others in my group enjoyed their chicken sandwich and pasta dishes. Friendly and prompt service, too.

Yelp
Bistro 7 is definitely a hidden gem! Came here for a business dinner with some colleagues. It was pretty empty at 5pm when we arrived but was starting to fill up around 7pm. Service was good. We started with the cashews, ahi poke nachos, and the surf and turf tempura roll. The surf & turf roll is a MUST! It was soooo good! We all devoured it. And its large and fed 4 people plenty as an appetizer. The cashews were so tasty! I don't eat raw fish, but everyone really enjoyed the ahi poke nachos. For mains, our group had ordered the salmon, summer salad and steak. All were very good and came in a timely manner. I thoroughly enjoyed my salmon! It was perfectly cooked. I will definitely be back and can't wait to try out their happy hour!

Yelp
Another great local find, Bistro 7! Established in Reno in 2008, this has always been a great place for good, modern Americana eats. I've been to many happy hours with co-workers here, and sampled many of their appetizers and drinks, all of which have been delectable! My husband and I came in on a Friday evening, and we were quickly seated - amazing for a popular place! We didn't have reservations, and opted to eat in their main dining area (you can also choose the casual lounge just to the right with a bar). The vibe is elevated casual, and definitely a great place to bring a group for some good conversation. We opted for the blackened chicken sandwich and the grilled fish tacos, BOTH of which were amazing! The chicken sandwich was juicy and tender, and the chipotle mayo was delicious! The fact that truffle fries are the standard is an added bonus! The fish tacos? They live up to their expectation of being a popular dish. Amazing. Absolutely will get again next time around! I also opted for one of their featured cocktails, a hibiscus infused vodka with simple syrup and cucumber. It was refreshing and great for the summer - I hope to have it again. We will definitely be back more often! A re-discovered gem for us. If you want local, elevated food, with a casual (but classy) atmosphere, this is for you. Also the service was amazing, thank you for the gal who helped us for being attentive and engaging!

Yelp
TL DR: This may be my new favorite place in Reno. Must try items include the beet salad and the miso crusted Chilean sea bass. Elite tip: You can split a salad with another party member and have the perfect size serving for 2! Exceptional service. Accommodating and forthcoming with allergens. When you walk in, you're greeted by a friendly hostess. In addition to the traditional dining area, there's a bar and an amazing semi-private room that would be great for private events. The restaurant is clean and the lighting provides for a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Food: Our party decided not to try any appetizers and started with salads. We had someone with severe food allergies and when talking to the wait staff they were very understanding and worked with our party member on possible options. They were patient, cooperative, and understanding. You're not going to find that service with other restaurants. Beet salad: What's pictured is just a half serving so you can absolutely split/share a salad and both be full. The salad was fresh and well balanced. You can taste the fennel, with notes of sweetness from the citrus, and that crunch from the pistachios. The vinaigrette is amazing. The goat cheese also brings everything together. The miso crusted Chilean sea bass: if you are a fan of fish and crunchy rice this is absolutely the entree for you. The sweet soy glaze was the star of this dish for me! The fish was cooked to perfection. The crust on the outside was crisp/golden brown, the inside was flaky but not overly cooked, and the forbidden rice was the perfect medium to absorb the glaze. The asparagus was tender and well cooked. The only constructive thought would be to provide more vegetables or a variety of vegetables with the entree. But without question, I will be back to order this! Drinks: I didn't get anything to drink, but they had a great selections of wines and cocktails. The others in my party really enjoyed their drinks! Desserts: We passed on desserts this time but looking at some of the tables around us, the crème brûlée looked fantastic! If you're looking for a local business to support whether it's for date night, a social catch up, or even a party you need to give bistro 7 a try!

Yelp
Solid Happy Hour menu! I love this place to wind down on a Wednesday. My go to is the surf and turf tempura roll! It's soo good. They have a great wine menu and service is always great.

Yelp
Stopped in as first timers and been looking forward to coming in. The environment looked nice, there wasn't much people so definitely felt like more table check ins could've been added I ended up choosing the Italian Pizza. It was a good could definitely use more sauce. When I finished the pizza I noticed there was a piece of metal round donut tool stuck on the bottom of my pizza and when I brought it to my servers attention she didn't do anything about it just gave me a pity sorry. I don't see myself coming back unfortunately it doesn't seem like they care about the customer satisfaction or having a connection with customers. Feels like the establishment could have more hospitality with customers to make them feel welcomed. (we were not greeted upon entering or acknowledged when leaving)

Yelp
Made reservations on Saturday night was quickly seated and staff were very attentive. This was our first time at bistro 7 and nicely surprised at the interior of the restaurant. We had the surf and turf appetizers which was very good. My wife tried the miso sea bass and I had the scallops which were the special for the night. The food was good fish was cooked perfectly. This is one of the top restaurants we have tried in Reno so far.

Yelp
Try the stuffed duck special if they have it available! This restaurant has always provided us with great service, delicious food and at a fair price! The wine menu has an extensive collection of regions to select from. I have never been in for happy hour but based on what I am reading on Yelp I will have to give it a try very soon! The location is just a quick drive from South Reno and I am sure you won't be disappointed!

Special Mother's Day brunch at Bistro 7 today was absolutely wonderful! Mine was the Eggs Benedict that had the most perfectly yummy hollandaise I've ever tasted...

Yelp
I was excited to try bistro 7 after receiving a recommendation, it's been hard to find lamb chops in Reno so I was especially excited coming from a place that has them everywhere. I will start by saying the ambiance is nice and is good for many types of get together rather group or a date night. Now the rest.. the food was not what I was expecting for the recommendation I was given. The food lacked the flavor I was expecting. It was good but was just missing something. The drinks were really good and I would come back for those. The service was subpar they offered patio and inside dinning and it seems like if you sat on the patio you were definitely forgotten at times we didn't see our waiter for extended periods of time and left our glasses empty and stomachs wanting more. The venue is nice and cute but other than that nothing to rave about.

Yelp
Not recommended. This is my third visit to Bistro 7, and they have consistently given me reason to complain. It's seldom ever the service, which has ranged from good to great. It is occasionally the kitchen, offering tasty food cold (twice now), or adding something you asked to keep out. But my biggest complaint is the lack of value, and their reliance on being seen as a 'posh' restaurant to excuse their behavior. Ultimately, for close to $150 spent per person, I couldn't give our experience more than two stars... and that's only because Sarah was a good server.

Yelp
It took me WAY too long to write this review but here it is :) We arrived about 10 minutes early on our reservation but they seated us right away. Our server, Megan, was incredible: always attentive but never ever overwhelming or intruding. Food was delightful: the brie potstickers were really good but the calamari were outstanding... careful though: they are really filling so consider that when ordering. Salmon and steak frites were perfect and dessert... was HUGE! Incredibly good but huge: Megan was able to figure out a way for us to take it home even though there was the ice cream!!
