Bistro Christophe is a true gem in Brugge. The food was excellent—flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere has a warm, neighborhood feel that stands apart from the more touristy spots in the city. Portions are generous, so come with an empty stomach. Highly recommended for a relaxed and satisfying meal.

Amazing food. We enjoyed it a lot, I had rabbit and my son had catch of the day. We were also treated to the famous fried carrots, they were delicious. Fantastic service, very friendly and great music! All you need to spend a lovely time.

My husband and I had our Xmas eve dinner here. It’s a prefix. Every dish was delicious. My favorite was the soup and smoked salmon appetizer. The risotto and baked venison were tasty as well. I love the lemon curd in the dessert. Strong citrusy taste with a hint of bitterness from the zest balances the mousse well. The paired wines were amazing. My husband was impressed with the Rioja.

I've never left a review for a restaurant without eating there but a restaurant denying customers the possibility to eat because the customer wants to only eat dessert and not a full meal is quite absurd. The way the bald man rejected us was disgraceful. Simply based on the obnoxious nature of this bald gentleman gives this restaurant 0 stars across the board. If you like a good insult with your (potentially good i don't know???) food come here. They absolutely ruined our last night in Brugge, as we walked 20 minutes across town to get here past lots of places, which had since closed upon returning, and yes - would have served us JUST dessert.

In a city where we found the service to be superb this was a bit of a let down. The waitress didn’t seem very interested and the place was virtually empty. We both had the chicken which was very tasty but the vegetables weren’t great and the ‘salad’ was basically coleslaw.

The fried carrots were maybe the best thing I have ever had. The salmon gazpacho carpaccio was exquisite. The service perfect. I would go back to Brugge just to eat here again.

Excellent meal and lovely service here. The scallop starter was the star of the show, followed closely by the bouillabaisse.

Yelp
This was our favorite restaurant on our stay in Bruges. Our dinner was EXCELLENT! Actually it was the best meal we had in 5 weeks in Europe. The service was wonderful too!

Yelp
Wonderful meal at Christophe, a Christmas eve special prix fixe; with the wine pairing that consisted of quality european wines, each dish got better as the night went on. The venison and the Northsea fish soup were our favorites. Compliments on such a lovely lemon curd for dessert. Can't wait to try their everyday menu.

Yelp
Amazing food and portion for the price. Staff was friendly and can speak Dutch, English, and French. I ordered the vegetarian linguine with white asparagus and it delicious. There's also parking (limited) near the restaurant. Would recommend to others and love to come back!

Yelp
My husband and I chose Christophe for our final meal in Bruges. We stopped in during the day to make a reservation, though that probably wasn't necessary for a Tuesday night as the restaurant wasn't too crowded when we arrived for dinner. The restaurant is really pretty and romantic; perfect for a date. One suggestion I have would be to update the background music; it was a collection of slow love songs from the 80s. Think Simply Red, Roxette, Chris de Burgh and the like. Painful on the ears but also kind of hilarious. We started with a shared plate of cheese croquettes, which the kitchen split between two plates - very nice! My husband and I agreed that no other croquette came close to Christophe's version. It was absolutely delicious! I wasn't going to leave Belgium without trying the beef stew, which I ordered for my main course. Naturally, like all things in Belgium, it came with a side of fries. I really liked my dish and would recommend it. My husband had the cioppino which he enjoyed as well. For dessert, we shared the crème brûlée, which was nice, though I wish I had gone with my original choice of ice cream with chocolate sauce. Overall, lovely meal and definitely one I'd recommend to friends or family planning a visit to Bruges.

Yelp
A place with classy ambiance, and open later than most, hence the 3 stars - BUT the service completely ruined it for us. We watched our server (very thin, a flap of blonde hair) actively avoid eye contact while we went without water, wine, or beer for the duration of nearly our entire meal, and a good 30 minutes afterwards. I was patient; I know European dinners are more casual than other countries and I actually appreciate the leisure given them. The restaurant was also busy. But I watched our server do side work repeatedly while we have appreciated even minimal attention for a beverage. The second server actually did the bare bones of our server's work for him, on top of serving his own tables - delivering our meals, and finally even delivering his check for him after I had to get up and ask for it 30 minutes after we'd stopped eating (our server was leaning on the bar near the water glasses). I'd hoped for a glass of wine with or even after dinner, or just water by the end, but gave up. A real disappointment.

Yelp
Lets start by saying that I am a very picky eater deom the states. I was apprehensive based on the various reviews. I am a steak guy and I wanted steak frites. The steak was great but my wife order the Boulliabase and although I prefer a good steak over seafood, I was blown away. One of the top meals Ive ever had. Must try

Yelp
Kind and professional welcome. The tables are not to close to each other. We went there for lunch, choice a la carte or lunch menu. We took the lunch and it was perfect combination of quality with a innovative touch. Red wine per glass was a little to warm, but that would be the only remark. A place to recommend and I am looking g forward to try it at night.

Yelp
My family was told to "f*ck off" by the wait staff... We arrived shortly after opening (6pm) with our 5 month-old in tow. It was one of two restaurants recommended by our B&B, which we were very happy with and eager to take their recommendation. We were not told, however, that a reservation was required. After finding out that Mojo was closed (the owners were on vacation), we wandered over to Christophe looking for our first meal since a late breakfast. Arriving 15 minutes after their 6pm opening, we found only one other couple seated for dinner and at least 2 dozen open tables. My wife inquired about dinner and was told that we would not be accommodated as we did not have a reservation. She was surprised and told me (waiting outside with the baby) to merely look at the empty restaurant. I peeked a look around the corner, and then, outside of the restaurant, stated to her that we should tell our B&B not to recommend Christophe given the hassle. As we started to walk away the host or waiter (6ft +, 30-ish years old, slightly overweight with round face and reddish-brown hair) bothered to follow us out the door to yell down the street "f*ck off." When I returned to the restaurant to ask him his name he refused to give it, insisted that he was in charge of the restaurant, and told me to leave. Feeling threatened by his size and unwarranted aggression, I did so. I have no idea if this man is really the restaurant's owner or manager, but if so what a sad thought.

Yelp
Our Hotel, Hotel Aragon, recommended this restaurant and we were very happy. The menu has a variety of great selections and the dinner was excellent and service fantastic as well. We had their Filet special of the evening, there was plenty, even enough to take some back to our hotel (our room was awesome and had a kitchenette, the leftovers will be a fine midnight snack). Mathias was our server and very attentive to us as well as all of his patrons. The rest of the staff was friendly and also very accommodating. We arrived late Friday evening and did not feel rushed by any means, they closed at 1:00 in the morning. He had great recommendations for dinner and dessert. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. There are not too many tables like other small bistros so you do not feel cramped, it's very comfortable. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
We had the monkfish plate and the Filet Pur with cognac sauce. Both were delicious. Each plate was such a delicacy.. very presentable and made to perfection. The atmosphere and service were good too. We would definitely go back if we lived in this beautiful city.

Yelp
Small bistro with delicious food. I had the filet mignon, cooked perfectly rare. My husband had the house made beef stew and he loved it. The main dishes come with Belgian fries (big portion) and salad which are also scrumptious. We walked in but you may want to make a reservation on a busy night. Great spot just a few minutes walk from the center of the city.

Yelp
Simply good, a bit pricey however, if you want to indulge yourself late night with a first class meal than this is the place. The beer selection is good while I must recommend the Roquefort... Made by monks and at 10% you can't go wrong. I had a lovely dinner in a nicely decorated comfortable establishment... Worth a visit!!!

Yelp
It was a amazing place. We ordered one starter, one main dish, one desert for a couple. Perfect portion. The starter was the best, a kind of intestine fries with salad. Really amazing if you are into it. Main dish, filet mignot was ok, but with really nice mushroom source. Profiteroles desert was fine as well. Very nice fine dining atmosphere. Good service in english or frensh as well.

Yelp
Friendly and accomodating. Tasty food and open until 1am. Good service.
