Bistro de Marquez

Fantastic Colombian food with a great staff that makes you feel like family. We had the beef soup, and a variety of arepas. All 10/10. Would definitely repeat.

Food was alright, small portion but tasty. The problem occured when I wanted to pay and was told that they don’t accept cards and to go to an atm (no written signs about cash only anywhere, the owner later said that it’s on purpose to trick people not to go away). After 10 minutes of walking and searching for an ATM I returned requesting a discount since the ATM took a fee equal to the third of the bill - the lady owner started insulting me on spanish, yelling at me and started taking photos with her phone. I paid my bill fully but she continued insulting me and to yell ‘raus’. I left with a bitter taste in my mouth after a 17€ small arepa, but at least the owner who addmited to cause inconvenience to others by not putting a cash only warning on purpose also experienced some inconvinience this time.

Great place, here you can have a very tasty meal in a friendly atmosphere. Bistro run by very nice owners, they shared some interesting stories with us. I send them very warm greetings! The food is freshly done (one can watch it) and everything was very, very good. Surprising flavors, dishes full of aromas, large portions. Plus a good dessert and excellent coffee. A place to visit while in Salzburg!!!

Delicious & surprising flavours doing their magic to your taste buds! We ordered vegetarian options: Cashew & Tofu. Both were excellent. We ordered the level 'Spicy' and it was a good amount of spicy( for those who really cannot do without😉) The owners are a delight. Chef is very kind and superb, when it was late she still made fresh Arepas that we could enjoy. Thanks, we would definitely go back! :) (PS: Cash only)

I thought it was impossible to find good Latin American food in Europe, but I've been proven wrong. The staff are so friendly and the food is so good, it makes you want to keep coming back despite your pants fitting a little tighter :) I had the plantains and the arepas and they were fantastic. 10/10 recommend, just dont forget cash as they dont accept card!

Experiencia incredible! We loved the atmosphere, the people, and the food! The beef arepas were second to NONE! Very comparable to gorditas (mexican). Super yummy all that is pictured: plantain chips, sopa de pollo con limón, la arepa, and banana cake! We even got to meet the owners family who was so sweet and welcoming to us. They speak several languages here so that is very helpful and they only take cash! If we ever come back to Austria we will be making our way back here :-)

The owners were super friendly and nice even with full tables, feels like having a meal at a friend's house. It's a small cozy place with good-quality food, worth trying it out!

Fantastic food and Colombian beer, and a staff that is SO warm and friendly. Get the warm corn cake!! 10 stars!
