Bistro des lettres

My mum and I came in without a reservation a little before 7pm. We were sat right away, and attended to promptly. Food came out in a timely manner. The camembert was so good, it came out gooey and was harmonious with the honey, it’s delicious with bread. The foie gras is a little too big for one person though the texture was phenomenal. Mains came out quickly too, I had the sole and my mum had the duck confit. Fish was buttery and a generous portion, beans were cooked nicely (although a bit oily if you’re oil-conscious). The hostess and waitress were very pleasant and amicable. Attentive, polite and friendly! One thing to note, and the reason atmosphere only has 4 stars, is the presence of drain flies near our table. We were sat at a 2top near the drink preparation area, which houses a sink. My mum had sat away from the sink so she hadn’t encountered any but my meal was constantly interrupted by flies and I had to swat away up to 2 at a time. Otherwise, this dinner was lovely!

An absolutely wonderful French bistro experience from start to finish. Every single dish was pure pleasure. We had the frog legs, bone marrow, an incredible duck confit, and finished with the most indulgent French toast with salted caramel, all of it was outstanding. The flavors were rich, perfectly balanced, and deeply satisfying. Classic French cooking done at a very high level👌👌 The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and full of life, exactly what you hope for in a true Parisian bistro. It feels authentic, relaxed, and full of charm, the kind of place where time just disappears as you enjoy good food and great company. We walked in, but the place was fully booked, which says it all. Luckily we managed to get a table, but I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. This is proper French comfort food at its best. Highly recommended, and absolutely a place we’d return to without hesitation.

A truly fantastic experience at Bistro des Lettres. The best foie gras I’ve had in Paris – perfectly balanced. The atmosphere is classic Parisian bistro at its very best, and the service truly elevates the whole experience. Lisa, our server, was absolutely wonderful – warm, attentive, and incredibly kind. You immediately feel welcome. A place you can’t help but want to return to again and again. Highly recommended ❤️🇫🇷

The food here is fantastic! We were warmly welcomed by a friendly staff. We ordered Salad, Mashed potato & sausage, and Duck confit. we were shocked when the Salad was served. their sauce is fresh and minty, and we liked it very much. The seasoning in the restaurant is quite interesting, in a good way. Duck confit was a bit salty, other than that the restaurant gave us an amazing experience. Mashed potato & Saussage is a must have dish here. also try some salads!

The atmosphere in the restaurant and the food is very nice and the portions are generous. We had few french specialties and everything was absolutely delicious. Most of all, the service is great (very helpful, fast and nice). Young waitress, Janelle, was very polite, kind and adorable. When we come to Paris again we will come again. Absolutely loved this place! We made a reservation - we went on a Tuesday so not sure if it was needed, but everywhere else we went during our time in Paris it seemed reservations were needed. The food was SO good - really fresh, and tasty and very good portion sizes. One of, if not our favorite meal in Paris. Highly recommend coming here. And the cute idea of writing yourself a letter and the restaurant sending it to you a year later was very sweet.

It’s one of the best restaurant we visited during this year-end trip. Every single dish was all amazing, from starters to main course, and desert! The service was nice, too! Highly recommended, no doubt!

We had the baked camembert, lamb shank, duck confit, and sausage and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We made a reservation before coming. Highly recommend booking a table in advance as it seems the place was fully booked. We would happily eat here again. We would also recommend this place to others
