Do you know how long it’s been since I’ve eaten at a restaurant that is good from start to finish? Too long!
Booked a table during the oyster happy hour, had 18 accompanied by bubbles (when they’re good, you just have to!).
Then had three starters with the beef tartare, liver paté, petit friture. Scrumptious all round. Nothing to fault.
We ordered chicken pot pie for mains, pastry was flakey and the filling was creamy and delicious. Had a few glasses to pair it with from a wine list boasting locals and europeans.
The wait staff were warm, professional, seamlessly working together. I appreciate how that takes a lot of discipline and attention to detail. It allowed us to relax in our night.
We ended up with cheese and creme brûlée. Again, so rare to have strong meal and dessert in the one spot.
Interior is warm, inviting, cosy.
Will definitely be back.
Thank you Bistro Elba, you were impeccable!
