Bistro Franz

Great place for a weekend brunch. We ordered coffee and variety of food from the menu. All dishes were very tasty, well seasoned and eye pleasing. I very much enjoyed my eggs Benedict, the eggs were perfectly poached, good amount of bacon and I especially appreciated good amount of veggies on the plate. Coffee was fine, good flat white. There’s not too many food options on the menu, but enough to please everyone.

Amazing place. Perfect for a good brunch and coffee. Interior is beautiful and pleasant, staff too. Nothing bad to say about this place.

Both the Egg Benedict and the Brioche was really good. One tipp: The back room could also have more decoration, cosy led lights and some paintings or other deco elements would make it more cosy.

A cozy breakfast place not far from the Spilberg castle. Our waitress spoke very good English and the menu was also available in English. Highly recommended!

This place is a gem ! Such a great atmosphere, such a nice staff, the coffee here was surprisingly good even though it wasn’t placed in the top cafes . This bistro served some delicious food for lunch, the flavors where so complete and complemented each other the prices were really good as well . If you ever want to try something delicious make sure you stop here !

Recommended for weekend breakfasts and brunches. And one of the best places where to get eggs Benedict. Second to the best in my opinion. Local ingredients and organic products are used to prepare breakfasts, brunches and lunches in here. The coffee is good, staff is friendly and always kind and helpful. You usually don’t need a reservation but in peak hours (E.g. 11 am on Sunday) you may have problems with finding a free table. There’s like 10 tables for 2-4 persons. I always come without reservation and had to wait for a free table just once. Totally a place to go for morning treats. Lunch menus are also interesting and always a fresh alternative against standard Czech menu offers you receive all around the city.

I like to visit this place repeatably. This would be one of few places with international cuisine in Brno that I can recommend to everyone. I had salmon trout with grilled vegetables. Taste was good, fish was moisture and well prepared, the same goes for the vegetables. Some flyers and magazines are placed at the parapets next to the window. They can be grabbed/read at the place freely. In a case you go alone, you will still have something to do. One small disadvantage might be higher price of meals. But if you compare the quality of the meals, the place is definitely worth of visit.

I wasn't looking for brunch but brunch found me. One look at the eggs benedict and I was sold. Perfect cookery. Light hollandaise sauce and the honey mustard dressed salad balanced the dish. Nice addition of pesto on the bread and topped with micro greens. I had a glass of fresh squeezed OJ with my meal. My only critique if I had to was the dish lacked texture. Maybe toasting the bread would do the trick. Only two tables outside but plenty inside. Also limited menu with some rotating items. Brunch and lunch service only.

Bistro Franz offers a lovely variety of food, and I'd highly recommend them for a nice brunch or late lunch. The service was good every time I went there. The only downside: their menu changes over time, so don't get too attached to your favorite option. ;)

Well, this is a small family owned place which offers food from nearby. Nothing imported from Italy, Spain, Poland or South America. Instead, they offer great food from Brno region. The place is small so it is not guaranteed you get your seat. On the other hand, people from Brno go for lunch around noon. If you stop after 1 PM, you have good chance to be seated. In addition to excellent food they offer good wine and beer (Bernard).

Nice fresh food and decent service. The prices are a little higher than average but that is acceptable given the quality and freshness of the meals they serve. The settings of the place is somewhat hipster/alternative. Interesting place that's worth s visit.

great locally sourced food, tasty. Attentive service, Bernard beer on tap and range of quality wines from South Moravia. Place to eat.
