We wanted to experience Georgian food on our last day. How glad we were that we chose this restaurant, after rejecting others.
We were greeted by a friendly, English speaking girl who advised us on our choices. We had an entree of cheese and ground nuts wrapped in eggplant. Different and delightful. We had a serving of a fat, pizza-like bread with a melted Camembert cheese centre. Absolutely wonderful! The main course was a roasted baby chicken dish with a crispy, salted skin, thankfully not too large. We finished with a caramel cake, which was really like a dense mouse wrapped around a crumbled centre, and some good coffee. We washed our food down with a couple of glasses of very acceptable red wine.
Total cost of under 5,000 roubles, including tip.
Highly recommended for those wanting to experience authentic Georgian cuisine at, by Australian standards, an extremely modest price.
