Splendid place to enjoy a summer lunch! We came here after touring the castle and thoroughly enjoyed our quickly served and very tasty meal of meatballs and fried herring. The covered deck provides a beautiful view of the castle while a cover protects you from the sun while permitting a nice breeze

Brilliant restaurant with a stunning view of the bay looking out of Vaxholm.
I'd say these were the best meatballs I've had in Sweden. Service, food and local Vaxholm larger were incredible.
Can't wait to visit again on my trip next year.

Had a wonderful summer lunch here!
A good range of the classics you’d expect in the menu with an obvious tilt for things from the sea. Skagen, strömming etc.
But there’s also chèvre- which was great! For vegetarian eaters.
And classic Swedish meatballs with a great sauce.
We got those as well as the steak sandwich which was good but the groups collective least favorite.
They also have their own beer, fun!

One of the few restaurants on Vaxholm, and one of the best. The restaurant is outdoors on the upper floor, with a clear view of the fortress. Gets busy around 12 on the weekends - go slightly earlier to beat the crowd.
Absolutely delicious food for a great price, with a great view. Went for the fried herring which was tastefully paired with lingoberries that brought out the overall flavour very well. Washed it down with an Aperol spritz. One of the most memorable dishes from my trip to Stockholm. Friendly and efficient service too!

Great views of the Vaxholm fortress, nice selection of dishes and drinks. I tried the smoked shrimps and Rubarbh Spritz. Very good and the drink was refreshing. All the staff is friendly and helpful and you find typical Swedish cuisine here, for example toast Skagen, köttbullar or stekt strömming.

A great place for lunch on a summer’s day. Good quality food, even if it’s a bit pricey, but the real highlight is the setting and view. They don’t take reservations so you might need to queue for a table for a few minutes at peak times.

Had lunch there today. You have three options: fish, meat and vegetarian. The fish one was really delicious and the menu included a soup and a piece of cake and coffee. The price is amazing for the food you get, and it is just 5 minutes away walking from the harbor. Can really recommend it!
