I recently had dinner at this restaurant with my family. My husband had booked a table over the phone, and two days before our reservation he even went in person to confirm it and to make it clear that we would be ordering à la carte. When we arrived, we were handed the menu but were immediately told that most locals usually choose the set menu of five courses. Once again, we had to point out—as we had already done during booking—that we preferred to order à la carte. The waitress seemed annoyed by our decision, despite the fact that this had been communicated in advance.
Among the starters, we ordered two crab salads, requesting one without coriander. When the salads were brought to the table, the server didn’t specify which was which and handed them out randomly. I ended up with the one containing coriander, which I couldn’t eat, so I gave it to my husband.
Another disappointing aspect was the service towards the end of our meal. Even though we still had a full bottle of water on the table, the staff stopped pouring for us after we finished our main courses. We eventually had to get up ourselves to pour both water and wine.
The food itself wasn’t bad, but the overall service left much to be desired. I wouldn’t choose to return.
