Service was a bit slow, but a nice waiter. Food was good. Location is good. Near main square but still not too busy with people in front of you

Very nice high class restaurant. A little pricey, but it’s in a very nice prime location. In the evenings it opens as a real restaurant which is one Michelin star. We had breakfast and coffee and it was very quiet and pleasant. I think it gets quite busy in the afternoon and evenings. It has a very large outdoor seating area and pavilion, and the inside is immaculate, really beautiful. It also serves as a hotel with rooms above. Directly across the street from the amazing large church in Haarlem. Our server Killian was very friendly. The large building used to be the treasury where they printed money, and later they printed stamps, so it’s pretty impressive.

Breakfast couldn't have been more splendid. I'm stuffed following the spread including 2 eggs, 2 types of toast a croissant, 2 pan chocolate, cheeses, meats, juice, coffee, and yogurt with granola & berries. Makes me want to return and try lunch and dinner if I wasn't off to the next city.

Can’t comment on more than the atmosphere and service. Location is nice for people watching and enjoying the scenery. However, service is terrible. Multiple tables walked away unserved to the point where I was offered their orders in confusion. I, myself, sat at my table for more than 20min without being offered a menu or anything to drink. Probably better in the summer time but Fall weather makes this place avoidable

Wow! This place is incredible. 100% recommend as our favorite restaurant in Haarlem! Delicious food, great portions for the price, over-the-top friendly and helpful service, and quiet but warm ambience. This was the perfect place to spend our last night in Haarlem. The menu is small, but every dish we had on it was incredible! We had two gluten- and dairy-free members and the kitchen was more than happy to accommodate with recommendations and substitutions as needed. They have gluten free bread and dishes that gear very well to their restricted diets. The waiting staff and kitchen take their work very seriously, doing their utmost to make the entire meal the best experience for their customers. Good food, friendly staff. We tried the 'kroketten' and the mashed burger which were delicious.

I recently had dinner at this restaurant with my family. My husband had booked a table over the phone, and two days before our reservation he even went in person to confirm it and to make it clear that we would be ordering à la carte. When we arrived, we were handed the menu but were immediately told that most locals usually choose the set menu of five courses. Once again, we had to point out—as we had already done during booking—that we preferred to order à la carte. The waitress seemed annoyed by our decision, despite the fact that this had been communicated in advance. Among the starters, we ordered two crab salads, requesting one without coriander. When the salads were brought to the table, the server didn’t specify which was which and handed them out randomly. I ended up with the one containing coriander, which I couldn’t eat, so I gave it to my husband. Another disappointing aspect was the service towards the end of our meal. Even though we still had a full bottle of water on the table, the staff stopped pouring for us after we finished our main courses. We eventually had to get up ourselves to pour both water and wine. The food itself wasn’t bad, but the overall service left much to be desired. I wouldn’t choose to return.
