Bistro St. Germain

Perhaps I chose the wrong dishes but based on my experience I will not eat there again. I had no idea about the beers and so I randomly chose one. I didn't like it and couldn't finish it though I was thirsty. The tartine sounded very promising but it was very disappointing. The cheese used is a high fat bland cheese (probably 60% fat which is a caloric bomb). There was a little squash pumpkin on top but the bread is not spectacular. I gave some to the dog whose owners sat close to me and the dog liked it which confirms my impression (dogs like high caloric and high fat bland food). At that stage my stomach was heavy and I did not want to eat a dessert. However, knowing I will never pay a return visit curiosity made me order a chocolate cake. The cake is in the shape of a souffle but it has no liquid and is larger. It contains a large amount of whipped cream. This too is a caloric bomb which I suppose is fine if you happen to be a 20 year old Slovak basketball player who is 2 meters tall but for me it is inedible. If I had to describe this bistro on two words they are ; quantity over quality (P.S : the parsley and radish apparent on the photo is my own. I usually bring washed herbs along).

Bistro St. Germain is the perfect spot for a delicious breakfast in the heart of the city. We tried the breakfast sandwich filled with a fluffy omelette, quality ham, cheddar cheese, and fresh salad – a combination that will delight any breakfast lover. The scrambled eggs on crispy sourdough bread were cooked to perfection – soft, creamy, and full of flavor. To drink, we enjoyed a refreshing mimosa made with pineapple juice, which paired beautifully with our meal. We finished with two ristrettos, rich in aroma and perfectly balanced in taste. Great food, friendly service, and an excellent location make Bistro St. Germain a place worth returning to. Highly recommended for anyone looking for the best breakfast in Bratislava.

Cozy bistro café with a beautiful, stylish interior. A very pleasant and comfortable place to spend some time.

I really like coming here. It’s a cozy place and they serve very tasty food. Most of all I love the salmon croque monsieur sandwich, the round potatoes and the 3-leches cake which is absolute bliss :))

Amazing place, loved the interior design choices, music, big real plants, altogether great athmosphere. Breakfast sandwiches is delicious, the mango parlova desset is very well balanced also great quality coffee. Kind ans attendive service.
