Small restaurant with good food options. Hummus is available here. Some Syrian dishes are also there to try.

Always friendly and delicious, the atmosphere is a bit rustic, but very charming. Happy to eat there every time!:3

Very tasty food and very clean food, you eat until you are full and do not feel disturbed and the prices are excellent. I've been to Leipzig more than once and this is the only time I've eaten delicious food. I highly recommend

The dishes tried were really "lecker" (tasty): foul and shawarma. The prices are okey - 4-6 Euro for a portion. Nice tables outside to enjoy a warm weather.

Came here on a weekend evening, outside seating was all taken when I arrived but one table cleared up when I was waiting for my food. I got the shawarma teller and a lahmacun. Shawarma was extremely delicious, so much flavor in the meat, so much food, good combination of meat, fries, and vegetables (although I could've done with more veggies). Also really liked the sauces as they were bold and added flavor to the meal but didn't cover it. The lahmacun was extremely bad - they microwaved it so when it came out, it was so hot that I couldn't eat it, then hardened into stone so much so that I could no longer eat it. It was really ridiculous to be served that, they should really remove it from the menu. I would give the lahmacun 2 stars, shawarma 5 stars. Food came out to be €9.50 which is fair for the amount of food, but never get the lahmacun. Never.

I'd recommend Syrien Bistro to any locals or tourists in the Neuschönfeld-Volkmarsdorf area. The food tasted fresh and very flavorful, and - in particular - the meat itself and the pickled radishes were exceptional. The prices (cash only) were excellent (6€ for the pictured Schwarma Teller), especially for a meal as filling as mine. Counter service was friendly, and while the food didn't come immediately, the outdoor seating area provided a great shaded place to people watch on Eisenbahnstraße.

The food is amazing, no doubt about that, however their service needs improvement. The last 4 times I visited the place they got orders wrong. Yesterday a complete meal was forgotten, even though I only ordered two things! I noticed at home and was especially angry, because, to my shame, I didn't have enough money with me for both of the meals. I was missing 50ct, but noticed too late, so I asked the person packing my order if that was okay, he grudgingly agreed and took all my money. And before all I that I had made sure he got everything right: Schwarma plate and a Hamburger. He said : Schwarma plate and a Hamburger. So i thought I was on the safe side. Now I am kind of at awe what must have gone through his head: I asked him for both my orders, he agreed (I think? if not, why not say something?) and then took more money than was needed. Shouldn't he have noticed? I get that their German isn't perfect or anything, but even if he did not understand me, from how much money I gave him and what I asked for it should have been obvious. So in conclusion: The staff is nice and friendly, but won't understand you very well and mess stuff up. This kind of neglect did it for me, tbh.
