Bistron

The food was excellent. The combination of tastes, textures and composition. Something very unique! The service and atmosphere was incredibly pleasant, we loved it!

We had a fantastic meal (and drinks) and enjoyed the wonderful service from all staff. Food serving sizes were generous, and beautifully prepared. We couldn’t fault anything - thoroughly recommend dining here when you’re in Lulea!

The view of the restaurant is fantastic. Personals are nice. But that’s all. The hummer linguine is a total failure. The linguine is tasteless and soggy. Must be cooked long time ago and not preserved properly. I was hungry but couldn’t even eat half of it. I don’t know how the source was prepared but it’s also tasteless. The lobster are only meat from claws and tastes nothing either. Seems from frozen ones to me. Do not recommend to order this dish from my opinion. Some of the tomatoes are not fresh. The mouse frites is quite ok with large quantity. Some of the shellfish are not fresh/alive. The arctic char tastes fine but very little in quantity. Like half of a fish. Bad experience for the price. The free bread is old and chewy. I do not recommend to eat here. Maybe a drink is fine. The waiter with the food got the wrong order at the beginning and I got burned by the hot water from the dish.

The Bistro has an outstanding location facing the sea. The landscape is marvellous during winter, still I bet it's as enjoyable in summer. The good bit is the food is as good as the sights out of the windows. The gnocchi starter I ordered featured a well thought mix of tastes; the reindeer was outstanding too, its cooking time was perfect for my taste.

I meant to do this review a year ago. I was in the area for work and Bistro Norrland staff are by far among the best I have had in my travels. Their mixologists were incredibly knowledgeable and adventurous. Their head chef runs an excellent menu, and serves top end dishes. Their wait staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Whenever I visit Sweden again, Lulea will certainly be one of my stops just for Bistro Norrland.

Excellent food and service! Best in Luleå! We enjoyed all our three courses menu and the wine pairing with the main dish was great! Portion and price were spot on! Easy to park just behind the restaurant with great outdoor seating next to water. Highly recommended!!

Well prepared and presented dishes with a northern Sweden profile. Nice decor and friendly service.

Every summer we go to Bistron and it’s a great experience every time. This summer was actually slightly better than last year, much thanks to the splendid waiter. Very kind, speedy, attentive and knowledgeable – nothing to complain about really. The cocktails seem to have been updated – maybe there is a new bartender? – with contemporary ingredients such as whey, wine acids, chili oil, grilled peach etc. Nonetheless they were likeable and really tasty! The food was on fleek – everything was cooked to perfection and flavors were high. We had tuna, entrecôte, and lamb that all were delicious. The only negatives were the mussels that were a bit too spicy and bland and the outdoor heating which was way too hot. Regardless, I highly recommend Bistron.
