It was one of the best experiences that I ever had in Antigua Guatemala. The food was amazing, and the service was outstanding! I recommended a celebration, anniversary or just to a dinner surprise for your partner.

The onion soup was overpowered by the wine. The Macaroni and cheese with bacon was very good. The roasted beets and goat cheese was very good, and the star of the evening. Our server never introduced himself. He took our orders, and brought the food. He didn’t tell us about the specials. We had to ask for bread. The ambient light was very low, I would have had it a bit brighter. The meal prices are not bad.

Walked in for an early dinner around 1700 and I was the only customer. The servers were nice. I ordered the wedge salad and the Mac & cheese. The salad was good! The mac and cheese was more like a soup of cheese. The flavor itself was okay, but it was difficult to find the noodles because there weren’t many. Not worth the piece unfortunately.

I was surprised and impressed by the food, service, and vibe of this place from start to finish. The decor and attitude of the place made it seem authentic, like you stepped into a family owned restaurant in Paris. The service was impeccable! We were recommended the grilled calamari, wedge salad, risotto with jumbo shrimp, and special duck! No notes. The food was 5/5 excellent - much better than some French restaurants I’ve eaten at in nyc. Must go!!!

Unfortunately, the Béarnaise sauce was a major letdown - it was shockingly bland and tasted more like melted unsalted butter. The bread situation was frustrating, with repeated requests met with the same response: 'We have to warm it up for you.' The service was slow, with drinks arriving only after multiple reminders. On a brighter note, the lemonade was a highlight of the meal.

My food was great (beef risotto). The prices are quite expensive, and they charge for water that they likely just fill from a filtered tap (didnt tell us), serving size leaves room to be desired.

Bistro Cinq – A High-End Bistro Experience in Antigua Bistro Cinq delivers a remarkable dining experience that would feel right at home in a high-end bistro in Chicago or New York. Every dish we tried was exceptional, showcasing both culinary expertise and thoughtful presentation. I ordered the duck l’orange, and it was superb—tender, flavorful, and perfectly complemented by a rich orange sauce. Well-prepared duck can be hard to find, but this dish exceeded expectations. My wife had the vegetarian lasagna, which was not only delicious but beautifully presented—served on its side, likely rolled before plating. She particularly appreciated this unique touch. Though it was never mentioned, I am certain the pasta was made fresh—the texture and flavor were simply too good for it to be anything else. We also shared the onion soup, which was deeply flavorful and perfectly executed. The cocktails were excellent, with the Aperol Spritz being particularly refreshing—a perfect complement to the meal. For English speakers, the language barrier can be a small challenge, but that’s part of the adventure. If you came to Guatemala expecting everything to be easy, you may be in the wrong place—but if you embrace the experience, Bistro Cinq offers a warm and welcoming respite with outstanding food. Highly recommended—this is a spot worth seeking out.

Delightful dinner, highly quality plates, everything tasted fresh, the magret and the escargots were perfect, service was good but not outstanding. Is not cheap but it is worth visiting and trying the magret. Loved it
