Beautiful place for a light lunch! Boyfriend and I had a Sprite and Aperol Spritz. Yakisoba chicken skewers, fried chicken spring rolls, and fried chicken were delicious! Would definitely want to come back for their dinner menu. The view was beautiful and the manager was very helpful with our language barrier. It was a little pricey but the food made up for it in flavor.

Phenomenal food. Try the cassoulet. Amazing. The chocolate fondant. Perfect. And so many other restaurants in France have messed it up… and then there is the view…. Wowww…also, the service. Two young chaps who smile and serve through the entire service. Just go here…

The place is amazing, with a fascinating view and a very pleasant background music that goes with the atmosphere. It was a bit raining but they had big umbrellas to cover to tables. The food was so good, a bit expensive. The desserts were not freshly cooked. The service was sweet. At first they were mean to us, maybe because they were overwhelmed with the rain. Then they were super nice, they offered us blankets and celebrated the birthday of one of us in a very special way, offering us roses since they didn’t have candles. It was an “à refaire” experience!

Google
Found it by accident , and they seated us straight away. Even though they had a beautiful singer on and 130 booked in . The food was great , bottle of prosecco and the view from this restaurant is incredible - what an experience, the host was lovely and said if we rang her next time she would put us with the best view.

Google
Disappointing. I knew this would be a “tourist trap”, but the food was well below average. €12 each for mussels and sardines starter and they came in a tin!! We thought it was a joke. Tuna main had to be sent back. Other mains felt like they had been left on the side and were luke-warm. Best food was the kids chicken and chips. People go here for the view and it seems as though they are banking on this to keep people coming back. So just go for a drink if you want to take in the view. Would not recommend for food.

Beautiful terrace with great views across the countryside. Staff were very friendly and food was fabulous. For lunch I had a great feta and watermelon salad with pomegranate, blackberries and peanuts followed by tasty slow cooked lamb in a sticky Provençal sauce and a really creamy strawberry gateau. Everything was perfect.

We really enjoyed an impromptu dinner on Sunday evening. We hadn't booked, but were offered 2 tables to choose from, though all seating is pleasant, and was later filled. Food and service were both excellent: from initial greeting to service at table - friendly, genuine. Food was expertly cooked and well presented, including some unusual flavours. Monkfish dish especially delicious, and generous portions. Part of menu unavailable, but still choice, and operating sustainably and minimising food waste sometimes requires compromise. Ambience and view added to pleasure....we thought the live music (keyboard and vocalist) were just perfect. The skies were alive with the local population of Swifts and House Martins, allowed to nest in the cracks of the old town buildings. A delightful evening for us. Thank you to all at Bistro le 5.

We used to come here all the time. It used to be amazing. The only amazing thing now is the beautiful view. We were shown a table for 2. Behind us where a noisy group of 15. I politely asked if we could change table to be told that noise in a restaurant was normal and I should go and sit in the garden instead. We left as we are not prepared to spend money somewhere with such a rude attitude. Such a shame given the food, service and general atmosphere at le 5 used to be incredible.

Yelp
Excellent food and views and staff! Really appreciate it. Everything is very fresh and really some of the best views of the trip

Yelp
We received the worst service, taking over 90 minutes to be served our main dish and we had to get up to ask for it. My bass arrived warm but not hot, as though it sat sat for several minutes. We arrived at 7:30 and had to ask for the check at 10:00. Table of eight was sat after us and out the door 90 minutes later. Food was just average and we won't be returning.

Yelp
We were driving by on our way to our AirBnB to make dinner and saw this place. First off, the view is absolutely stunning. It was Golden Hour and looking over the valley took our breath away and robbed us of our willpower. We just had to stop and went straight for desert. Oh, my...let's just say I'm not sure I'm going to be able to eat dinner. Who cares though. Our senses are totally satisfied....eyes, ears, noses and taste buds. Our waiter was wonderful as well. He was so kind and patiently helped us work on our French. The whole experience was c'est magnifique! I highly recommend it!!!

Yelp
Slow to the extreme. Food average. They really don't care about their customers. I had to make them give me the check.

Yelp
Such a lovely restaurant! The view is incredible and the food was wonderful. My parents and I chose to eat here so we could enjoy desert and watch the sunset ~ this was certainly the perfect place for both! I definitely recommend eating at Bistrot le 5 if you are looking to have an enchanting evening meal with a magnificent view :)

Yelp
Amazing view and good service. Food good. Recommend lunch or cocktails before dinner. The village is gorgeous.

Yelp
At the entrance of Menerbres, this restaurant has a big terrace with a great view of the Luberon. It has a bar at the right side of the entrance and kitchen in the back. The menu of the day is fairly reasonable deal. The really disappointing point is the service that was extremely slow.

Josh D.

Yelp
Incredible place to sit outside and enjoy the view of the Luberon. Go for sunset dinner. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Service was a little spotty, but very friendly! Amazing experience.

Yelp
Excellent view and food on a summer day. We had pasta, the menu du jour and a seafood salad. The food and wine were both excellent. Visit on a sunny day and enjoy the terrace! The desserts looked fantastic, but we didn't have room.

Yelp
Came here for a celebration. Place is packed and reservations are hard to get. We ate at the other excellent restaurants in Menerbes and had a wonderful experience and were expecting the same at Bistro le 5. Meal started off well but after our entree was served, no one came by for an entire hour. Not even when we waived to servers, etc. Since we came for a celebration, we were interested in a dessert (saw some being served to a table near us that came after we were seated) but since no one would check in with us, we left. Owner or manager had to gaul to argue about how long it had been. He was loud and insistent and doesn't know what really good customer service is. My daughter took a picture of her dinner with a time stamp and showed the owner - of course he had nothing to say. I know the French like to take their time but this was ridiculous - they should just own up to it and get more help. I would recommend that you check out the other great restaurants in Menerbe. Also read the reviews about Bistrot le 5 on Trip Advisor and Google. I was mad that I didn't read them before we came here - would have saved our family the aggravation.
