Bite Me BBQ

The best thing I ate was the ribs, and the sausage. That sausage had some kick and the ribs weren't lacking in flavor either. The moist brisket was good with the pulled pork was a little bland. The mac and cheese was fantastic, but the other sides my group had seemed pretty ordinary. All around a great meal and I'd go back.

Probably some of the best BBQ I've ever had. Mac and cheese Insanely good. Service was absolutely amazing. Kind and friendly staff. Bri was our server and provided amazing service. Definitely will be back

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. We were a party of 10 on Friday, 12/5/25. The restaurant was about half full. Firstly, the waiter was, personably, a delightful young man BUT if one has to auction off drinks and food at the table (asking who had what while holding food and drink) it is a bad start. I KNOW this is a pork and beef BBQ joint, I know this, but I was in the mood for beer battered fish and I ordered it. The menu proudly proclaimed "Not fresh but still VERY GOOD!" It arrived swimming in a plate full of grease with the batter just slightly browned. The batter just fell off as I cut into it which I believe means it was not cook long enough or the fryer was not hot enough. The fish was tough and slightly warm but it was a good sized portion. Fries and slaw were good though. My daughter order a combo, chicken and pork I believe, it came out COLD, same with the baked beans. We sent it back and it came out cold again. She just wrapped it up and took it home. My wife order a dinner salad with no onion and the waiter told her it didn't come with onion. Guess what? It came with onion. I had a taste of the brisket. It tasted like liquid smoke flavor out of a jar, chopped up fine and packed very dense. I would guess this indicates that it was in a baggie and then microwaved. We had to ask for drink refills, again the waiter had to auction the drinks off when he returned because he didn't know who had what. At end of service the waiter never cleared plates off the table. Absolutely a horrendous experience. Save your money and go down a few blocks and around the corner to B&C BBQ. You'll be glad you did.

I got the turkey sandwich. The sandwich comes out of the kitchen basic (just meat on a bun). The sauce is on the table. You can choose between mild and spicy. They have a pickle bar you can use to add toppings if you wish. The closest parking is on the street, and it is paid parking now.

Pork belly burnt ends was really good. Great taste and tender. The baked beans (sweet) were a little to sweet for my taste and the Mac & Cheese was edible. Good service with sports on the tvs.

I was pretty disappointed. My girlfriend and I came here for my birthday dinner after looking for days online for the best bbq in the city. We got there and it was decently busy but there was no wait for a table. However the table we were taken too was extremely wobbly and the table was sticky with very few not sticky spots. After a wait of around an hour we got our food and it was ice cold. I have never seen fries that glistened before due to being so greasy and they were so soggy I could’ve slurped them like noodles. My sandwich and fries both were also unnaturally cold, almost like they had been in the fridge. My girlfriend ordered nachos and they were the same way; the cheese was so cold it literally hurt our teeth to eat the nachos. Our waitress was nice enough but she only came by to take our order and hand us our check, we tried to wave her down a multitude of times throughout the meal and even though our meals were largely uneaten she walked by and dropped off the check and told us to “take our time” but “every table had a time limit” like we hadn’t waited an hour for our food and then an additional 45 minutes for the check? She walked off after saying this and even trying to call after her to describe what happened with the food did not work. Later she came by, took my card, brought it back, and told us to have a goodnight and walked off again before we could say anything about how cold the food was. Awful experience and I will not be going back.

Overall, a solid first experience. Not at all busy because we went on a Saturday afternoon, but service was quick and friendly. My two meat sandwich was really good - brisket and ham were perfect. My wife enjoyed her pulled pork baked potato. Restrooms were very clean.

Nice atmosphere, great looking bar, but a bar never serves great BBQ. Dont know why- brisket was over cooked (though it still tasted decent), sides were honestly great (coleslaw and potato salad were fantastic) but the pulled pork was… not good. I should’ve said something about it, the staff was so friendly that I don’t know why I didn’t mention it, but man that pulled pork tasted like it was days old. Come here for a drink and the atmosphere, but dont expect high end Q here.

I know that Kansas is not a BBQ destination. But it is always one of my go to foods! I came for an early lunch. The place was slow because of this. Service was phenomenal. Food was decent. Not the best BBQ ever but not bad. Great sauces. Nice big space with a BBQ feel. Not a bad choice in downtown Wichita!

First, ambiance is great. A classic BBQ joint with a Smokey Smell. Second, service is great. Very prompt and attentive To our needs. So why the low score? The food. I expected better being in Kansas. The daily special was Pork Belly Burnt Ends, so I was expecting soft little pillows of porky goodness. But these were dry (both from a lack of sauce and from it being a while since they came out of the smoker...you can just tell) and not-so-soft. Truthfully there were a few pieces that were nice. But most were not. Alas all is not lost on the food front. I did have an extra Pork Rib bone added to my lunch. The Pork Rib was delicious. Again not sauced (so that must be how they do it at Bite Me), but very tasty. I'm guessing just salt and pepper when they smoked them as there was not a lot of dry rub on it as like a Memphis style rib. And, my coworker had a sliced brisket sandwich that looked absolutely delicious. The sliced brisket looked tender and properly cooked and properly sliced. Another coworker gave good reviews to the Hot Link sausage. Since we had just arrived from the airport and had a way to drive we did NOT try the Bloody Mary that they are known for. But it looks fantastic with a ton of "garnish" (a slice of brisket, a slider sandwich and a bunch of other stuff stuck on a stick)...crazy! All in all, definitely give Bite Me BBQ a try. And if you don't like it, Bite Me.

Uber Eats - fast delivery - terrible beef brisket That was a waste of $48. I can't eat the majority of the dinner. Worst Brisket ever being so tough and dry. I ordered the two meat combo with Ribs and Brisket. I love brisket especially burnt ends (wasn't an option) but their brisket is not edible. I selected "moist" with the other option being "dry". I received tough dry huge fat slices of brisket that was too dry and chewy to enjoy. The potion would have been great if it was edible. The ribs are good - tender. Side items Cole Slaw & Mac & Cheese are good. Carrot Cake taste old and stale.

To Go Order 6/6/25. Bite Me is usually very good and on point. We had several orders. 1) 2 meat bbq dinner with loaded baked potato and pasta salad. The baked potato was under cooked. 2) Sliced brisket dinner with pasta salad and some potato salad. Brisket portion was slim, about 4 slices. 3) Chicken fried chicken sandwich with baked beans. Huge portion of chicken. 4) Fish dinner with cottage fries and pasta salad. Huge portion of fish. Need more than one cup for tartar sauce. Need containers that you can poke holes in, so that the moisture doesn't make the batter soggy. Two orders of peach cobbler. One order (see picture), was extremely doughy with very few peaches and no liquid. When preparing an order you shouldn't just give whatever. Especially when we paid (plus TIPPED on a to go order) to have PEACH cobbler... Hard to have that with no peaches. On a previous visit there was an issue with baked beans being undercooked. Again, I usually have no issues with Bite Me, but if it's going to continue to be issues, we may need to take a break.

Moist brisket was dry and bland. Pickled condiments, nachos, smoked turkey, hot links, sweet potatoe waffle fries & ribs were amazing. Hot BBQ was great. Friendly staff and nice place.

Great service, friendly people, but not the best BBQ in Wichita. It's smoked a bit, but then finished too long in the oven. The brisket was a bit chewy and we got the ribs and they lacked flavor. Service 4 out of 5 Bbq 2 out of 5

Food was good, price seemed reasonable until it was served, it looked big on the photos but it was served on small plates. Service was friendly but staff needs to be made aware of foods that are not readily available so customer can choose something else. She made it seem like it wasn't gonna take too long I finished all my food before Mac and cheese arrived. I wish I could say it was worth the wait but it tasted like the boxed kind.

Food: No complaints, the pork and beef were both delicious. Baked beans and Cole slaw were excellent. I mean, you're in Kansas so I would actually be really surprised if the meat WASN'T good. The only downside I have is that all of the sauces were spicy (except the wimpy sauce). Now, I like spicy, don't get me wrong there, but I would think a few more options for people that can't handle spicy would help business. But I also don't know if they have a problem with business either so... it is what it is I guess! Atmosphere: It's a little dark inside. I mean, they have TVs on and it's kind of noisy as well, but I always think to myself, what are they trying to hide keeping the lights down so low? Gum under the tables? Don't look at the busted floors? I dunno. It's not a bad thing but a little more light would be nice. Service: Excellent service, no complaints. I think our server was new because she kept asking for our orders and came back to check often, but it was all good! Price: Pretty inexpensive in my opinion. I think a 3 meat dinner was like 20$. Plus I think the pickle bar was pretty cool, I've seen a few places do that but I was a bit disappointed that a lot of the bins were empty and I really didn't want to bother the staff for refills. :( Overall: Pretty solid place, I can see why the locals like it. In an area of the country where there are a TON of BBQ places, you gotta do something to stand out. I felt most of the items, except the pickle bar, were standard for any BBQ place, so owners, think about what makes you stand out and advertise that. A unique sauce? A special type of brisket? How about BBQ duck? I dunno... something unique where an out-of-towner like me can say "Wow I've never seen that before!"

For starters, the service kinda sucked the server forgot our order and had to come back to get clarification on what was ordered, we had to ask for refills several times. The server was nice so I don't want to take anything away from them. Just service was off. The food was horrible... the apps were better than the mains. I ordered the ribs and they were honestly very disappointing, no flavor, no bark, they were bit cold and felt like they were reheated in a crock pot. The sides were bad, the slaw was straight up like eating mayo and the Mac & Cheese was cold and very tasteless.

Visting son from Los Angeles, wanted sone que. A great time at Bite Me. Spare ribs were tender and xcllent, mac n cheese, beans, pickles, sauce, and links ALL great. Thanks to staff and the great hospitality shown to us. Next time we're in Wichita, we'll be pulling in.

I was visiting clients in the area and was told they have a cool pickle bar. As a pickle lover, I had to try it, and I was not disappointed. We were quickly greeted and seated at our table. Being from Texas, I feel biased in my review of the BBQ here, LOL, so I'll start with my experience. After the waitress took our drink order, it seemed a while before we received it. Also, it took a while to get our food when we placed our order. I think it was partly because after our order was placed we were notified that they were out of rib meat. The portions were hefty, and everything was juicy and flavorful. I really enjoyed the potato salad, it's a must for me when I eat BBQ, and theirs did not disappoint.

Yummy,yummy,yummy. You have got to go here if you're in the area, or if passing through. Like going to a large family cookout. Friendly staff, and patrons. I had the 3 meat platter of Ribs, Brisket, and Smoked Ham with potato salad and green beans. Outstanding! Come on in, pull up a chair, and roll up your sleeves

Took my team there, they got sick on brisket enchiladas covered in cheap canned nacho cheese. The waitress recommended the food

I want this BBQ to be the last meal before I die. I came here on a tuesday, which means it's pork belly burnt ends day. For $16 you get THE BEST pork belly burnt ends with two sides. The slaw was top 5 coleslaws. The sweet potato waffle fries were the best fries I've ever had. Piping hot, crispy, and FRESH. The ambiance is old small town USA, with a bar, rustic wood tables, neon signs, and original country music playing. They also have a station with onions, pickles, etc. Coley was my server and she was the nicest person I think I've ever met.

Lots of good barbecue in Wichita! Bite Me BBQ is one of my favorites. I like the atmosphere and I love the menu. If you like barbecue, this is definitely one to check out.

I've never been here before, but heard really good reviews and they weren't wrong! I bought 1.5 lbs of Brisket and 1.5 lbs of pulled pork, 4 hot links and 2 lbs of baked beans. Baked beans were phenomenal and the meat was very flavorful and moist. Took this order to go, but the service I received at the bar to order was great! Nice little joint that really felt like a friendly place to be with friends and family! Give 'em a try!

Did I order the wrong things here because this place is not one of my favorite places for barbecue. The staff is amazing. The service was good. The cook even came out and gave us loads of samples of every single meat they had there. I just didn't taste the smokiness on the meat. The meat was tender and fall off the bone. The turkey was impeccable and not dry at all, but the brisket lacked a smoke ring. The nachos reminded me of Taco Bell. Nothing tasted bad, but I was not wowed here. I'd skip this place and try bbq somewhere else

Food was AMAZING, customer service was polite, fast and accurate and the variety of options makes it even better. Decorated well and gives a good representation of the Midwest/Western BBQ vibes

I had the moist brisket at Bite Me BBQ, and it was super flavorful. While the baked beans leaned a bit vinegary for my taste, the mashed potatoes and gravy were excellent. My kid loved the pulled pork sandwich and the baked beans. I'm not a big fan of baked beans anywhere, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. The service was fantastic. When one of our friends received an undercooked burger, the staff quickly remedied it, and the manager himself came out to make it right. Excellent experience overall--I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area! The only downside is that the floors are quite slippery from what I assume is grease, for someone clumsy like me it made walking an interesting experience.

We have loved coming to BMB for their prime rib nights and have bragged to our friends how good it is but last night it came to an end. Our dinner came out cold and the meat was overcooked. At one point, the manager/chef/cook came out in his ski cap to tell us that it all looked fine and medium rare is 125 degrees. I said I agree but medium which this is should be 135 degrees and this is definitely medium and I don't know the last time it was 135 degrees. He walked off. The waitress was very frustrated and embarrassed by the kitchen. We recognized each other from previous visits and it was a difficult situation. I hope this is not an indicator that the ski caps are taking over and ruining a good thing

Went here our first day in Kansas. The food was super good. The turkey and the pulled pork were my favorite. The sauce bar with the pickles and other pickled veggies added to the meal. And definitely order the sweet tea!

The smell when you walked in smelled really good. The food just didn't live up to the smell. We order brisket nachos. The nachos were drenched in bbq sauce that you could only taste bbq sauce. The little bit of brisket that was not drenched in bbq sauce was dry and hard. The little interaction we had with the server she seemed nice.

Great place and service. The accuracy and speed of my order were each spot on along with a friendly smile from my American Girl server.

Service was great and staff were all very nice. The ribs were the best part of the meal but sadly that is where the really good food ended. Everything else was just "okay", the pulled pork wasn't very flavorful and the brisket was dry. The sauces were lackluster but I would be willing to give it another try.

Great food and service. The pickle bar is a small plus. We'll be back. Ordered the Carolina pork sandwich and baked beans. The sweet tea was spot on.

their meat was soooo good. it was fall off the bone and tender and well seasoned and just all around mouth watering-ly amazing! their sides need a little work but you have to check out their pickle bar off to the side. i fell in love with the pickled okra! had a bit of a misunderstanding with the bartender and got charged for an extra drink but he was so nice about it that it wasn't a big deal. they were severely understaffed and they definitely need to hire more people.

Bite Me and I bite you back. They surely did with excellent service and a spotless restaurant and an unbeatable atmosphere. Saving the best for last, the smoked ribs are highly addictive. Thank you Bite Me BBQ!

Great great food, 3 meat, two chicken legs tasty, all of it two problems, the A/C is on so low, the food gets cold while eating. and, if I ask for a booth or half booth, I don't want to hear there are no booths in my section, or there are only booths in my section. then seat me and trade for the next customer, please

Looking for authentic BBQ brisket sandwiches , wasn't what I hoped for. Meager serving, but it was good for what was there.

Go here for the ribs. Ordered a two meat combo ( ribs and brisket) plate, which was affordably priced for bbq. The ribs were good, the brisket was ok

Good food I had sliced brisket , good selection of adult beverages. Building is interesting you can tell it's the locals favorite spot. Service was good.

Got served the wrong meal. Wasn't changed as they had run out of the other. Makes you wonder if the mistake wasn't deliberate. How does a BBQ place run out of chicken? Other sides didn't come either and all was left on the bill. Won't go back.

Love this place! I also like how they don't drown the ribs in sauce. Now be careful if you get the spicy pickles off the condiment bar...But service is acceptable, and my orders have always been correct.

Ever know what ya want but your mind I numb from the day? My son and I had one like that on the same day. "How 'bout some Q?" I say, "Yeah I'm feelin' that for sure", he says.... 8:45 we wander into an old favorite. Bite Me BBQ, no less on a Monday! From the time we arrived, super friendly staff- tons of suggestions, lots of refills - I think we were dehydrated! Not a huge fan of beef ribs, but theirs are spectacular. Fall off the bone tender too. Every side I've ever ordered has been top tier. We both had the 2 meat combo with ribs - he the pulled pork (which was over the top good), I always try the healthier choice - sliced turkey. We dined, had some Dad time, and really enjoyed our Monday evening. Between the service and food, we left super pleased and kind of forgot about life for a bit. It's all good. Yelpers, this business has new ownership and frankly they've not missed a beat. If you are visiting Wichita, welcome! If you are living in the ICT, stop in and give them a try. You're in for a great time.

Fast service during lunch on a Monday. House BBQ sauce is pretty decent. Three combo meat as ok. I was surprise they don't have cornbread or trị-tip.

Wear a mouth guard, because you are going to tell your texan Mother that this is better than hers. No "pickle bar" or sauce needed. if you don't smile or node your head after the first bite......... you should keep eating at fast food drive throughs.

Finally made it out here after hearing about it for years. I'm a bbq snob, even lived in central Texas for 4-5 years. I like to think I've had good bbq. I was impressed with the whole experience. The service was exceptional, and the food just as good, including the sides. It's easily the best I've had in Wichita to date. The only thing I might knock is the hot links, I'm used to a different taste/texture. These weren't bad, but not texas style. Maybe that's intentional, I don't know. The cost was reasonable, and I liked the atmosphere. Parking sucks, but whaddya do. Great job, folks!

First time being here. Honestly, I came because of the picture I saw of their sweet potato waffle fries, but... it was the ribs that made the night!!! So worth it.

Had a little bit of time in witchita so I had to stop by and check out some BBQ. The food was pretty good overall, but I can't realistically give it a 5 :/ Unfortunately, I did find a hair inside my food! The rest of the flavor was very smokey and nice on the meats though, and everything was a tad salty which is fine. Would I be back? Maybe, but I think I'd try a different place first. At least from someone in San Diego, I feel like there are just as good places here like Phil's BBQ.

Average BBQ, but good by Wichita standards. I prefer much smokier flavor, but Bite Me has good moist and tender meats and good side dishes. It's clean and welcoming, but it's purely self-service - even to the point of having to clean your own table when it's busy. The ribs were good, fall-off-the-bone tender, but not all that tasty. I would have expected more smokey flavor. The brisket was tender, but also not all that flavorful. The side dishes are really great, but when I go to a BBQ place I want the BBQ to be the stand-out item. I'm still looking for "great BBQ" in Wichita, this is good, not "great".

Great BBQ! The hot links are "HOT!" They make spicy Mexican food farts seem like a warm tropical breeze! The brisket is yummy! And you can be UnAmerican and get it lean, or you can eat it the right way with some fat! I just wish it wasn't so far away. Worth the drive!
