Had a great stay in June 2025. Small fee for what is available. Well kept park with plenty of long drops and non potable water available at times. Sites are divided by fencing with nature growing between. Plenty of room and a fire pit in each site. Bring your own firewood, water and dunny paper just in case. Take a short drive to the light house and see the many animals grazing away while you walk past. Short stroll to the beach from the camp sites.

We visited this campsite after nearly 10 years. The road leading into the campsite has recently been done by the looks of it. The drive down was a lot more comfortable than I recall. The road is accessible with trailers and caravans. There are perforations in the road which make the drive bumpy in some sections of the road. The campsite itself has recently been fixed up. Each campsite has now been fenced off with bollards and wire which we found a fair bit annoying as we camped with family and had to walk all the way around to hand out at one of the other site. It would have been more convenient to simply walk through like we were used to do before. The bay has areas of shallow water where kids can play and swim comfortably. There are also some good fishing spots. There are local walks that can be done through the bush as well.

I wish it was how it used to be without fencing and designated square camping dirt patches (cleared of grass). Still good and otherwise it is camping again a beautiful canvas and sheltered bay primed for spearing and fishing. Lotsa tea tree firewood available in the surrounding coastal forest.

Love this place! It has toilets and water but no drinking water, need to bring your own. Many wallabies, amazing view in coastal area with a small beach, good for family trip. A bit rugged to drive in, no signal and lot of naughty possums at night, keep your food and rubbish in the car or tent.

What a wonderful place to be. Even though the road to the campground is off-road, its completely worth it to travel approx 20 km unpaved gravel road. The campground is very close to the bay and there are several fishing spots. Facilities in the campground are: • 3 Toilets • Rainwater is available for washing purpose • Campground host is available for information and help • Campsites are numbered. • There are a total of 30 campsites, 10 of them are suitable for trailers and caravans, others are tents only. • Firepit is available in the campground. • Information board is available for the campground information and nearby places to visit and activities to do. Things to note: • 2WD access but should be taken carefully. May not be suitable when it's raining. Check the weather first. • Fire Wood as wood may not be allowed to collect from the jungle. • Bring enough water as the nearest shop Kiah General Store is approx 30 km far and the 20 km section is unpaved and rough as it is damaged by excavator's chain. •There is no digital park entry fee payment system. Either you can pay online before arrival or you need to fill your details in the envelope provided in the box at the information centre, put the money in the envelope, seal the envelope and put it back in the box. So bring some cash. • There is no mobile network available, at least Telstra I am aware of. • Keep your food and garbage above the ground or wombats will steal your food at night and make your campground hell of a mess. Activities one can do - • The bay is shallow with low tide, safe to swim, kayaking and canoeing. • There are several hiking tracks, hiking to Green Cape Lighthouse and return can be completed in 4-5 hour ( Some fitness required, Tracks are marked but may not be clear) •Fishing can be done along the bay and around the campground as there are rocks everywhere near the bay. • A perfect place for bird watching ( do not forget to bring your bino and camera) Beautiful Lyrebirds are everywhere near the campground. If you want to escape the crowd and noise this is the perfect place to be. Take your time and enjoy nature as few days are not enough. We travelled from Sydney and it was well worth it. Will come back again but this time at least for a week. The best camping we had so far.

Great, quiet and natural campsite with fantastic facilities. Undercover bbq's, rain water supply for washing up and drop toilets all in great condition. Marked campsites with good fireplaces and easy access to walks, beaches and easily accessible by car. Lots of local wildlife including lyrebirds, brush tail possums and bandicoots - although ensure your food and rubbish are contained securely overnight as the possums will rummage through anything left accessible.

Large campground overlooking Hegartys Bay. Drive and walk in camp sites available. Most have fire pits and some shade. Booking essential as sites are numbered. Basic long drop facilities, cooking shelters and some rain water tanks. Need to bring own water. 2WD access to campground if you take it carefully.

Great place to park when doing the Light to Light walk. Road access though unsealed is in good condition, even after the heavy rains.
