Google
this place is a vibe, aesthetic and decor are nice. Love the stained glass windows! even the name. music, the crowd and visuals are all chill. lockers are available for convenience, theres a cute photo booth when you first enter before you take the stairs down to the main areas :) don't forget to capture some memories! <3

After a €16 entrance fee and high drink prices, you'd think you could use the restrooms for free. That's not the case. Anyone who wants to pee has to pay an additional €2.50. But then you get a flat rate for peeing all evening. Nice.

Love a smaller venue, it just means that you’re closer to the stage. Good lineup of smaller artists/bands. Lockers were easy to use and bathrooms were satisfactory.

Google
very pleasant bouncer, very unpleasant barkeepers (racists ^^), semi pleasant public. I should've just stayed in Berlin for Young Franco concert.

Fun venue. Mind that you pay separately for things like a locker (one time use only), going to the toilet. Very limited selection of drinks.

Quite a nice club, cozy, easy to reach via metro. Great sound and atmosphere. I saw The Waeve (with Blur's Graham Coxon), and loved everything

Google
Great atmosphere for upcoming Indy singers (no bands)

Went to see Nina Nesbitt at Bitterzoet, lockers are 2 euros and stood near the bar and close to the stage. Small and cozy. Good experience overall.

Yelp
We had a great time at Bitterzoet during our stay in Amsterdam. We asked a local friend for some suggestions and he recommended Bitterzoet for hip hop. I believe there is always a cover, but if you buy online it's a bit cheaper. There are two dance floors and one lower level with lockers/bathrooms. Lockers were a super convenient option for all of our coats/jackets. We started out on the first floor, but once it got crowded, we moved up to the second floor which was smaller, but less people. You can still see the DJ and first floor because it's kind of like a balcony set up. There's also a bar up here and a smoking room. I'd recommend coming here for a night out! but the crowd was a little younger.

Yelp
I saw Wheezer here, which was great because hearing Americans sing American in Amsterdam in actual Amsterdam is hilarious. I enjoyed the venue as a whole, not too large not too small. There is an upstairs balcony area which is nice. Would definitely see other bands here, reminded me of places I used to go in Arizona when I was young.

Yelp
After finishing off our meal we wanted a place to hang out drink hear some music maybe even dance a bit we had looked into this place & were glad it was close by. We came in place wasn't crowded at first that changed within 45 minutes or so it still wasn't jammed packed but decent enough. Clubs in Churches tend to be pretty cool & a bit freaky at the same time this place is not bad cool looking Windows the red stain glass makes it look kinda funky. Big place lower dance floor & bar below, upstairs another bar some seating area plus a separate smoking area. Music wise u certainly can't expect to hear all the good current stuff which is not necessarily a bad thing they mixed it up quite a bit which is always good but the DJ was all over the place playing maybe a hip hop song then some sort of country song? I don't know it was annoying u could barely get into anything he didn't play two beats that were the same. The place itself is cool would've been better had the music been more on point.

Yelp
I love Bitterzoet! This is such a cool place for going out to dance or to gigs. It is located in a nice lively area of the city centre close to Central Station. Bitterzoet is kinda small which gives this nice intimate feeling to it. The place is decorated with graffiti, some vintage stuff for décor and the smoke room has awesome chesterfield couches, great for chilling (I don't smoke myself though). Also there are stained glass windows, which reminds you that Bitterzoet is linked to Paradiso. They have two bars, down stairs next to the stage and on the first floor (this one is way less crowded!!). The prices of the drinks are great and your beer is actually kinda big. The staff is very friendly and works fast which is nice. You never have to wait long at the bar. Awesome place with awesome people and one of the nicest music venues I know in Amsterdam.

Yelp
HUGE fan of Bitterzoet. For such a small venue (read: great view of the stage from the whole venue) the sound is AMAZING. They've put some time and money into their sound system and they have killer guys on the audio decks. NICE work! The place feels like a tiny church inside, complete with stained glass windows (albeit with pictures of naked women and men). Bartenders are fast. The place is small so get there early to ensure you're right in the front. Great spot for a concert. Hook it up!

Yelp
Bitterzoet is a quite alternative club, with the looks of an old living room. They offer really divers nights, ranging from electronic house to oldskool hiphop and reggae. Upstairs you can hang out, play pool or look down on the dancing crowd. Not too populair among students. More visited by locals, expads, tourists...people enjoying the good life!

Yelp
Went here after the wack experience at club Escape. Compared to there this place was great. They played American hip hop and Dutch hip hop. Love it. Drinks was very good priced. It was a good find.

Yelp
Beware, bouncers will side with thieves. Corrupt personal. Life threatening night club. Not worth the risk. I went there on a Saturday night with a friend. A guy at the club touches my pants to feel where my wallet is at. I'm on high alert because of that. Minutes later, he tries to pull out my wallet. I push the guy and my friend holds the guy. I run for the exit with my iPhone on one hand, and my wallet on the other hand. Three of the guys friends start knocking me down, and punching me repeatedly in the face, and rip my pants open. I manage to escape to the street level. Bouncers just let them continuing to follow me until I start yelling police. As soon as I do that, the bouncers get scared that I'm gonna call the police on the Establishment. The bouncers tell me that the guys trying to get my wallet thought my iphone was in that pocket which belongs to them because it's missing. He kept asking me to show him the iPhone, but I show him from a distance my iPhone with all my naked pics, and told him get the police over here, and then we can discuss who the Iphone belongs to. Bouncer said it was an "honest mistake" and did not kick out the guys. Very dangerous place. When four guys are after you, you expect the bouncer to at least stop the fight, but they don't. My jeans got ripped and my lips were bleeding. I'm American so I may have been a tourist target, but I've been living here for a while so my suggestion is to completely avoid this place.

Yelp
This was the best club ever!!!! Wayyy better than Vegas! I like the fact they have lockers for two euros so you. Can store your jacket and purse!! Win! Everyone dresses casual which is nice- means no heels (yay). The hip hop out here is so dope! Wish my stay was longer in Amsterdam :( they know how to party until 4am!

Yelp
My wife and I paid 120 euro for the all-inclusive on New Years and were refused reentry after we left to get a bite to eat because they didn't have any food inside. Bouncer refused to let us speak to a manager and offered no refund. I wish I knew how to file a complaint with the Dutch Better Business Bureau. FOREIGNERS BEWARE!!!

Yelp
Graffiti and hiphop. Good vibe.

Yelp
This was an amazing night! The party was of the hook! BBQ + R.Kelly special; everyone was having a good time! Good place to be if you like to see Dutch "celebrities".
