Visiting Gujo Hachiman during the Gujo Odori festival, accommodations were fully booked. We were about to give up, in desperation, we contacted the Gujo Hachiman tourist information centre, many thanks to their assistance, luckily, they managed to get a room for us in Bizenya. Not knowing what to expect, minutes walk from the town centre and the bus terminal, we were greeted with a pleasant surprise: A very traditional Japanese accommodation, old but well preserved. This must have been a exceptional inn during her heyday. It has very limited rooms, with share facilities / bathroom, toilets. English is hardly spoken here, however the staff were very helpful and doing their best to communicate with us. We were blessed to have stayed here and experienced this rare "Japan moment". Would not hesitate to recommend!
