It was a truly great experience. The staff member here (Evan or Ivan—I’m not sure about the spelling) was incredibly friendly. The atmosphere in the area he was responsible for was very relaxed. After we ordered two dishes, he asked if we trusted his recommendation and said he wanted to surprise us. When the dish arrived, we found it tasted excellent. The whole dining experience was fantastic, full of positive vibes, and the food was also delicious.

Google
Wonderful experience. They are quite affordable with huge portions, wonderful service, and very tasty food. All five of our party had something different, and each raved about the flavour and portions! Recommend the lower ground nooks as had beautiful Italian-themes mosaics on the wall and a little easier to hear than upstairs. Toilets: Nice and clean May be worth prebooking, as had a queue even on a midweek night.

Google
One of the BEST restaurants, ever! BIBI was our incredible server. She never failed to get everything exactly as we ordered but never had to write it down or punch on a keyboard. The food was the best Italian food ever. Insalata Nicoise and Avacado Gamberetti were fresh and delicious!. We just arrived on the Queen Mary 2 and our best meal wasn’t near as good as Bizzarro’s. Prices were incredibly less than we paid night before at another Italian restaurant nearby which served smaller portions and not near as tasty. Wine was fantastic and reasonably priced! I would give them a 10 out of 5! BIBI’s service put this meal over the top!

Google
A well-visited Italian restaurant, there was a queue outside the entire time but it moved quickly, especially for smaller parties. The interior is simple and clean. The servers were friendly and attentive despite the stress from a full restaurant. Food and drinks came out quickly and you could really taste it was made with love. The chef was very generous with the seafood in my pasta and it was FRESH seafood, none of that frozen bag stuff. The prices were relatively low for London and the service and food you get in return is truly immaculate. Definitely recommend this if you're a tourist looking for a warm Italian meal near Paddington.

Google
The only complaint is that the crowd was a bit loud, but there is quiet seating downstairs. We sat outside so it wasn't as loud. The food was spot on! Generous portions and a fair price. Service was impeccable!

1000/1000 STARS!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟✨💫🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹 Where do I go begin, to say this Italian restaurant is Amazing, Would be a understatement! I've been to many restaurants since starting my 5 year journey as a Google reviewer. I post for you guys out there who want to know what's good and what to avoid. But this restaurant has surpassed all my other reviews I've done! The food was so good! I had to go back 4 times in 2 weeks!!! The atmosphere was so nice, beautiful music, and you can really tell each and everyone of the employees loves working there. What stood out to me the most at the beginning was their HUMOUR! What felt like before I could even sit down, my delicious food already arrived. The kind waiter said "you see, were faster then McDonald's!" I laughed so hard! Every dish I tried just kept getting better and better! I am no big desert guy, but I thought their already 4 for 4 on making tasty food. let's give it a shot. And damn do I wish I could have tried their pistachio desert sooner! Do yourself all a favor and stop by this amazing Italian restaurant! You stomach and kind soul will be both very happy to meet these lovely people and give you a nice FOOD COMA haha 😂🇮🇹 Notes to the Owner, Son & Staff. THANK YOU. for the kind generosity, hospitality and wonderful memories at your restaurant. I will certainly circle back next time I'm in town! T. KNIGHT 🇮🇹❤️

Google
10 stars! ⭐ We are visiting London from Australia and stumbled across Bizzarro by chance and had the most wonderful experience! The food was amazing! The service was amazing and we left there feeling... Amazing! Thank you for the experience.

Google
We devoured all of our food and everything was amazing (the pizza, pasta, lasagna, risotto, meats, seafood) The servers were all lovely and the atmosphere of the restaurant was warm. Great prices for the amount we ate, recommend!

Yelp
Fantastic service and great food. I was a solo diner on a Friday night. Staff were wonderful. Easy walk from train station. Thank you. I am thru king about the meal a week later.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was poor from the start--staff were unwelcoming and inattentive. I had to ask multiple times for things that never arrived, including water, which I was told would be brought but never was--even by the time I paid the bill. I ordered a salad, but it was completely forgotten. The pasta Amatriciana I ordered was overly salty, to the point that it made me really thirsty. Despite letting the staff know I was in a hurry and asking for the check, they persistently tried to push desserts on me, which felt quite inconsiderate. Overall, the lack of basic hospitality and attention to detail made this a very unpleasant visit. I wouldn't recommend it.

Yelp
I stop here when I transverse thru Paddington. My fav is the Penne alla gorgonzola. The house red wine is very good. This place is busy so best to go on off hours to avoid a wait.

Yelp
Bottom line: if you can get past some of the quirks in the service, you'll be fine. Also, stick to signature dishes and don't stray too far off the menu. I ordered the minestrone soup, the rigatoni broccoli dish, and for desert , I ordered the apple pie with ice cream. The minestrone has a clear watery vegetable base, and tasted like vegetable medley soup. In America , usually it's like a tomato bean base with a few noodles in it with veggies . Wasn't the most memorable dish. Needed more salt and was kind of bland. 2/5 Italian rigatoni broccoli: came out cold. I actually told my waiter to heat it a bit more. He was not happy to here this news. I don't know if he was upset with me or his kitchen or both. But I do know upon realization, his humiliation manifested in how he shortly treated me thereafter . Heated up , this dish was delicious. Gravy was on the richer side (might be vodka sauce variant) but this is the type of Italian food I can see as in the conversation in the best of for London. 4.5/5 Desert menu was brought to me. I was undecided, so I let my waiter know i required some more time. He literally came back in about 20 seconds and sarcastically told me 'making progress'? And it was with this comment that made me realize he was irritated or annoyed that I compelled him to remake the pasta dish. Yeah, how dare an American tell you to serve pasta hot instead of cold. Forgive me father for I have sinned. The apple pie I ordered was very small. The crust was super soft like bread. It also was cold when it should be slightly heated. Wasn't my favorite thing, and for nearly 8 pounds, you should order another item off the desert menu. 2/5 stars I'm giving this an overall score of 3/5 even though this place deserves 2/5 when you factor in how I was treated by the waiter after pointing out a flaw in my pasta dish .

Yelp
I didn't understand only 4.1 stars for Bizzarro soon I scanned the reviews, and I do see what dinner people mean. This is a very popular and just restaurant. They have seatings on main floor and also in basement. The staff we had were very pleasant and knowledgeable but they hustle the entire time we were there. Thus there were sometimes a bit if a wait. It has a family restaurant feel at heart, but at a larger scale That said, I think the gross now than made up for it. From the pizzas to the pasta's to the desserts, they were all so good I had the carbonara and it was creamy without being overwhelmingly rich. I also loved my son's garlic pasta with olive oil. And you have to try the house make tiramisu for dessert - so light and flavorful. Many tiramisu I've had are more on the heavy size, but not this one. It's so light yet retains all of the traditional textures and flavor of tiramisu. Magnifico! If you're on London and happen to be close to Bizzarro, it's a can't miss dining experience....just expect it to be busy

Yelp
I came literally at the right time at 7pm. 15 minutes later and there was a line forming out the door. I always find a place based on yelp reviews. I was dining alone, from the moment I entered I was greeted and sat. My waiter was super busy but still friendly. I ordered the veggie soup and the Linguine w chicken and spinach and a tiramisu. Great restaurant, quality food, service and ambience. Next time I'm in town I'll be sure to stop by.

Yelp
Good quality Italian food, but the service made this place memorably outstanding. Ivan was the most wonderful server -- friendly and nice, explaining the variety of dishes, helping us make the best choices, showing us how to make some of the dishes better with the toppings, and even chatting with us about where to go in Italy. Lamb chops and veal were super tender. Chicken piccata was perfectly breaded. The lemon dessert was probably my favorite but though -- and I'm not usually a huge dessert person. I would come back just for that.

Yelp
Food was ok, however service was slow. Especially if are not white, We understand they were busy but we got our starters and waited and waited for the main dish. A white blond European guy with an accent waited on us and a 3 tables with white people who arrived and ordered after us got their food and were was served first. I brought it to his attention and got an attitude.

Yelp
So delicious! The service was excellent and the space was clean. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
OMG best food. Small cozy restaurant very attentive servers. We loved all the food. You should try this place.

Yelp
Great people , food was nice , very convenient . I find everything in the UK overpriced and they have gone to a tipping system much like the US , northern England did not ( except for one restaurant in Liverpool)

Yelp
Judging from the midweek evening following, this is a very popular place. And judging from the staff, it is genuine Italian. The Bruschetta was excellent, but not for those who don't like garlic. A small salad gave strong evidence that they have the very freshest produce. When my adult daughter was struggling to make a choice of entrée, our Sicilian waiter said "don't look at the menu, just tell me what you have a taste for."The pasta dish that came out was the best spaghetti dish either one of us had ever eaten! It didn't hurt that he skillfully sculpted it on her plate into a small volcano of spaghetti topped with a dash of herbed olive oil. My prawn dish was just OK, but the prawns were fresh and cooked exactly right. All in all a great dining experience made better by the service, and all at moderate prices.

Yelp
We had a beautiful and delicious dinner at Bizzarro. My husband got the lamb shank and I got the breaded chicken with spaghetti. We each had the house wine and started with the minestrone soups and mussels. Gosh everything was delicious! The soup is super delicious with lots of vegetables. The house wine is so yummy and smooth. The mussels had a delicious red sauce that was chunky and garlicky. We ended with a dessert ice cream covered in chocolate powder (tartufo) that was heavenly!

Yelp
Went here for a business dinner. They have in- and dot-door dining. The hidden secret is that they also have a very nice quiet dining room in the basement, if you can find it. We had the room to ourselves. The food was very good and we had standard wine, which was excellent. Really enjoyed the ambiance, the food and the wine. The level of service was just right. A very good evening.

Yelp
Great service and no skimping on meal portions! Wonderful atmosphere to meet with friends for dinner.

Yelp
Great Italian food in the heart of Paddington. The service was nice and friendly and the restaurant was busy after work let out. The reason for a 4 star review rather than 5 was that I felt like we were upsold for things that weren't necessary but we weren't aware we were being upsold until the bill came. Overall I would recommend

Yelp
TL;DR: Affordable, good enough Italian food in low key / casual environment with quick, curt service. Good in a pinch but not a top choice. Checked out this place as it was open late and one of the ones with the best reviews in the area. Food is reasonably priced at 5-10 quid per appetizer and 10-15 quid pastas and pizzas. Tried the soup of the day (cream based, kind of bland) and the anchovies (much bigger and tastier than I expected!). Also got a carbonara (bland but good size with the +1 quid meal size) and pizza with anchovies (good enough, not amazing). Overall very good portions but more quality than quantity. Ambiance is casual (no elegance here). Service was attentive (could flag down people at any time) and a bit "whaddaya want" and "everything is good - you pick" standoffish.
google avatar

Cathy M.

Yelp
The food was good and reasonably priced. The service was terrible. We were seated downstairs. There were two waiters. The male spent much time flirting with and chatting with a couple of young women seated near us. The woman just couldn't keep up. We waited forever for our check and ended up walking to the exit and asking to pay. Frustrating experience.
google avatar

Yelp
The pasta isn't homemade, but the atmosphere is great, the service is fantastic and the sauces are top notch. Great way to scratch that itch for an Italian meal when you're in Paddington.

Yelp
I went for dinner with my girlfriend and we both had the pizza, mine was the hawaiian...it was delicious, there were no leftovers, I even got a box of 3 slices to take home
google avatar

Yelp
The restaurant was very busy when we arrived but we were seated shortly. The food was amazing. I had the seafood pasta and it was loaded with clams, prawns, steamers and squid. Delicious is all I can say. There were six of us and everyone enjoyed their dinner. Service was attentive and good and ambiance was just right. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
This may be the best meal we had in London on this trip. Right by Paddington Station which is near where we stayed. The pasta was cooked just right, the service was good, and the vibe was fun casual. Lots of places to choose from for dinner in London. This was a pretty good one.

Yelp
The innate power of Italian food is the driving force that breaks down all barriers of discrimination. The ultimate expression of its varied taste and wonderful flavor is also therefore the fundamental energy for realizing victory in the struggle for my human right. This place is all good.

Yelp
The best Italian restaurant in Paddington! If you're looking for great service and quality food, Bizzarro is where you want to dine in. My server, Reynaldo was very attentive and accommodating.

Yelp
Reallly delicious and good value. Def overhemeled in the lunch rush The spaghetti frutti de mar was so good. So well cooked and so much variety and amount of the seafood- clam, mussels, shrimp, calamari.

Yelp
Perhaps the best Italian restaurant in London. Extensive menu, great food, impeccable service and reasonable cost. You will not be disappointed

Yelp
Excellent food and service. I had the lasagna and it didn't disappoint. The dessert was also good and ending the night with some Limoncello made it complete!

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Food was good, service was excellent. The staff was welcoming and the homemade vegetable soup was delicious.

Yelp
Great Italian food, very reasonably priced for London and quick service. Had the Bruschetta, Napoli Pizza and a Margarita Pizza, Tiramisu was the BEST
google avatar

Kim S.

Yelp
One star off because we had subterranean seating and service was a little slow. Super, super busy - is the entire city of London like this? Food was wonderful - we shared pasta olio y aglio and a margherita pizza with a half carafe of wine. Would come back again only earlier in the evening.
google avatar

Yelp
Our favorite place in London so far! We happened upon this quaint restaurant walking from our Airbnb, hungry and tired. We were immediately welcomed in, and had an incredible salad and main dishes! House wine was delicious and topped it all off with an incredibly moist tiramisu that might be the best I've ever had. Attentive quick service also was a huge plus. While it was quite busy, no one seemed to stand and wait for a table for long. We may go back before we leave because it was that good! Can't recommend highly enough.
google avatar

Yelp
Best Italian I've had forever. Everything was excellent. Spaghetti bolognese was great, lasagna was great, pizza was really good. Very reasonable prices.

S B.

Yelp
Incredibly good. Salad was awesome and service excellent even though they were crowded and fun to sit outside and watch the people. Pizza was awesome and the salad with the avocado and onions was the best I've eaten. - can't remember the name

Yelp
Located near Paddington station and very easy to find. I was craving some veal for dinner and this restaurant came through. I started out with the bruschetta of the house. Very good starter which set the tone of the dinner. I had the veal Saltimbocca with a side of fresh green asparagus. The veal was topped with sage and prosciutto, then cooked in a Marsala butter sauce. Delicious, the Marsala wine is a sweeter wine which complimented the butter. A five star dish for this Roman specialty. The asparagus was bathed in butter and good. Good service in a crowded restaurant. Would definitely return.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was excellent at this Italian restaurant! I had the minestrone soup, veal saltimbocca and ordered a side of spaghetti. The soup was fine. The saltimbocca was superb, with delicious meat and sauce. The pasta brought to me was penne. It was okay. I drank a nice Chianti wine. The service was fine, not exceptional. For dessert I really enjoyed the chocolate tartufo. It's difficult to find this ice cream dessert, so that was a nice surprise. The atmosphere was cozy.

Yelp
A reservation highly recommend! Food was excellent and staff friendly and took care of you soon as you walked in the door.

James P.

Yelp
The food was excellent. We recently had dinner here three nights in a row. The service was good, especially the first night. The seating by the open windows during the nice weather was especially nice.

Yelp
This restaurant was close to our hotel and I had peeked at the menu and it looked delicious! We headed over (a very short walk) and waited to be seated. It took a bit for someone to come acknowledge and seat us and I was a bit concerned at first...finally when the gentleman came over he said he had no seats upstairs, but plenty of seating in their downstairs area and he sent us down. When we got downstairs, we waited at the bottom for a few minutes to see if someone would come seat us, but no one said anything....so we figured we'd seat ourselves. We sat at a 6 person table (there were 4 of us and we were waiting for my son to join us). The man from upstairs came down, saw us and kind of yelled at us and the waiter as to why we were in that seat. I explained to him about my son and he said if he didn't arrive soon he'd have to move us..(I said sir, if he doesn't arrive, we have bigger issues because he's 13, none of us will be staying, don't worry!) Anyway, after all that drama, we had an amazing waiter and amazing service and food! Definitely worth the energy and drama! This place was busy, so I think the First Gentleman was just stressed. He was trying to do too many things at once. No hate to him at all! Hopefully they will have someone dedicated to seatings...because overall we loved it and we all want to go back on our next trip to the UK!

Yelp
Delicious food! My pasta (mushroom and prosciutto fettuccine in a cream sauce) was amazing, so fresh tasting. Veal piccata was delicious too. Busy place with upbeat atmosphere. Tiramisu and espresso was perfect ending to the evening.
google avatar

Matt G.

Yelp
Classic old Skool Italian restaurant near Paddington station. Lots of options on the menu, pizza, pasta, lasagne, risotto, gnocchi. Veg lasagne came out piping hot, mushroom risotto the same. Both good, not the best ever, but would come back to try more dishes. For example the calzone looks good. The cassata was good, but needed more of the dried fruit part. Very busy even on a mid week day with a line almost out the door. Big event room downstairs. Very busy and bustling with waitstaff running across the place. Bigger portions than most Italian places. Prices slightly less than average. The website lies, it looks very cheap but many dishes are £2 more in reality. This part was not cool.

Nicole W.

Yelp
Everything was absolutely amazing! Food was delicious, server was amazing, location was great! If we ever travel back to London this will definitely be our first stop!
google avatar

Yelp
Our favorite Italian restaurant! You can't get more authentic or delicious food! We always eat there a number of times when we're in London. Best home made desserts, hands down.

Yelp
Great late night family meal- with a very engaging waiter! The food was delicious! Highly recommend !

Yelp
Everything is à la carte here, like in Italy, but the food is not ... like in Italy. Meat dishes come with nothing and bread is €1/person. A 10% service charge (£4.19 - $5.80) was also automatically included, so our server seemed extremely arrogant and nonchalant, a bit of an ass. Why should he care if the service charge (tip) is mandatory? He did not get a pence more. A half liter of house red wine is £9.40 ($13) on their website menu, but it was £10.20 ($14.15) when the bill arrived. The half liter carafe was far from full and it was not good. I had the Pasta e Fagioli (£4.50) and it was too soupy, had the wrong beans, and bland. Two teaspoons of grated parmesan did not even help. My wife the Olives (£2.90), a decent portion, but a tad spicy-hot because of the sliced jalapeños in the olive oil. Strange. She had the Fettuccine Prosciutto e Funghi (£8.90 - $12.32 for a "main" - £1 more than the small) and I the Vitello Saltimbocca alla Romana (veal topped with prosciutto and sage in a wine sauce - £10.90 - $15.09). Her portion of fettuccine was not very big, so I would hate to see the small version (£7.90), and it was bland with little flavor. My veal was actually beef (you can tell by the color - greyish, not white - and the way it cuts) and had a strange flavor. I am not sure if it was the wine they used, the sage, or both, but it tasted a little of a chemical of some kind. It was a disappointing experience after having read the great reviews, but then some throw 5-Stars around like candy. I guess I am a bit more demanding than most, having lived and traveled extensively in Italy for many years, but this meal was not even close to the 4-Stars (7-8 Bombs) they average on yelp. It was one of the worst £46 ($64) meals I have eaten. Bizzarro! CombatCritic Gives Bizzarro 3 Bombs Out Of 10 ... More Bombs Are Better!

Yelp
Seafood pasta was soooooo yummy! So much seafood in every single bite plus more and the flavor is to die for!!! I would come all the way back from California just for this pasta!!!!!

Yelp
Great, local family run Italian restaurant - good food and service, upbeat staff. We were in London a week and ate here twice.

Yelp
Excellent! The food was very good. The service was excellent and very accommodating of the kids. Our server took the initiative to ensure that the kids got something they wanted and put their food in first while the adults had a more leisurely meal.

Yelp
Great takeaway pizza while we stayed at hotel in Paddington area. My kids needed something different than British pub food!
