The lady that works here was really friendly and supportive. They have electricity, two unisex toilets, one shower. They have a big common area. They also have random sheep and dogs playing around. They have four electric stoves, cooking utensils that you can use. They also sell coffee and different drinks. It felt cozy and comfortable to stay here. One of my favorite camp sites.

Super friendly owners and staff, truly some amazing people. The camping spot is nice and quiet with dogs and sheeps walking around from time to time. Communal kitchen and seating area is nice, clean and cozy. Would highly recommend their breakfast it was a 10/10.

We really enjoyed this campground during our Iceland roundtrip! Nice and quiet area. Warm kitchen facility with everything you could need. Bathrooms were clean, however there was only one shower. It wasn’t too problematic though since the camping isn’t very big. Also I really enjoyed the presence of this friendly sheep :)

This was our last of 11 campgrounds during our Iceland trip. It was a good thing that it was last because this campground was by far our favorite. The only downside was no black water disposal. With that out of the way here is what we lived about Bjarteyjarsandur Campground. It is a small family owned and operated site, and a working sheep farm. We were greeted by a very old sheep that seems to be a bit of a family pet. Since it is working sheep farm there were 3 friendly and curious Border Collies keeping an eye on us. As I was cooking dinner one parked in front of my door hoping for a handout, Other than being a working farm, the other distinguishing feature here is the Cafe/common area. It is spacious and cozy, and a variety of beverages are offered for sale. A variety of handmade wool items are for sale, all made from the wool produced on the farm and knitted by one of the farm owners. I didn’t take advantage of it, but there is a hot tub by the ocean option as well. Good WiFi in the common area, adequate number of bathrooms for the size of the campground. Would definitely return here

Farm stay was amazing with our campervan! I just wish there was at least one more shower. I loved their three dogs. So friendly and herding everyone when they come. The owner was very friendly too. Their kitchen was really good and well maintained. They have a friendly sheep too. I wish I could have stayed more days.

This campground is amazing and the owner is very kind. There’s a goat and three dogs on site with us! There are two toilets and one unisex shower, which might not be enough for everyone, but at least it’s included in the price. Free Wi-Fi is available at the reception and there’s a shared kitchen.

One of the most scenic, beautiful, and kind campgrounds during the trip. Stayed the night of July 1st, parked a car on site and camped in a tent, 3 people total. Upon arrival, we were greeted by 3 friendly farm dogs and 1 sheep (name is Ösp), went inside the common area to pay and it was extremely spacious, large tables that could fit groups, electric stove and kettle, sink and kitchen supplies, and many board games along the walls with books. Bathroom/shower was in the building, and had separate access to outside the main entrance for when it is closed. 1 shower that has hot water, 3 toilets (1 is inside the shower room), and the bathroom floor is heated which was lovely. Campground was right outside the common area building fenced in, and the dogs would wander around and say hello. The common area building is open I believe from 8am-10am, then 6pm-10pm, closed during the day because the owners have to work the farm. They also serve food and drink in the building but I did not try. Stayed at 7 different campsites and this was by far the favorite, would love to come back here again some day!!!

We stayed at this campsite on our way back from a 12-day trip around Iceland, and it was one of the best we visited. The place is quiet, clean, and has a very peaceful, family-friendly atmosphere. The shared areas — including the kitchen, lounge, and bathrooms — were beautifully decorated and well-maintained. There’s one unisex shower and three clean toilets, all kept in great condition. The staff was helpful and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a calm and cozy place to rest.
